What do you mean by " native color gamut doesn’t give more saturation " ? Ariel please could you please answer extensively because like when here i asked you didn’t explain the reason behind this. In addition, you told me that smooth gradation removes banding but makes faces too smooth but again you didn’t tell the conclusion to use low, med. I am not talking about high because it’s too much. Also the same with motion interpolation, you didn’t tell the conclusion to use what value without oled motion pro. Please Ariel, remember if you answer and give details I won’t ask twice, I am not stupid.
The most saturated colors can't get any more saturation when using Native because the colors are already clipping on HDR when using BT2020. Any difference you see in favor of Native being more colorful is because it might show more saturation in colors that are not the maximum saturation. A color that's supposed to be 200 and looks like 205
For Smooth Gradation and Motion interpolation my opinion is Max them out to get the maximum effect even with the downsides. Otherwise, it's not worth it,
Anyone know a fix for vulkan hdr while alt+tabing? Basically you need vulkan for certain mods and you need full screen for hdr. However if you alt+tab, it goes into borderless mode and it turns back to sdr. Now i can alt+enter and get back into full screen hdr but any way to keep full screen when alt+tabbing? Using Prefer Layered on DXGI Swapchain doesnt fix it.
HDR is an absolute, 100% accuracy is the goal. We don't have any display that can do that yet but at least we can try to get the white balance as close to accurate as possible. For me however, I prefer a warmer color temperature for my eyes, because it's more relaxing, easier, less eye strain.
It's impossible to fix HDR for RDR2 because the developers control it completely. Turn your HDR on, go inside any building at any time (day or night) then go back outside. For whatever reason, the HDR works perfectly when you are inside and if you pay attention you can literally see it getting screwed up in real time when you walk outside. From inside, the days look bright and the nights look dark, but as soon as you are outside nights become too bright and days become too dark. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do.
Is that perhaps auto exposure messing up? If you're using the newer dlss versions, you need to use dlss tweaks and force auto exposure for this game and some other pre 3.1 dlss games.
That sounds like the game replicating auto exposure on a camera. If it's dark then suddenly gets bright, the camera has to adjust. Same thing happens with your eyes when you walk outside on a sunny day although it's just slower.
Why you don’t recommend using native color gamut man? I am not talking about accuracy. What is your opinion, since you also used native color gamut before
I use Native on SDR to not clamp the colors to rec709 but for HDR BT2020 is already selected. We don't get more color saturation with Native on HDR, it's just a different calibration
The other thing you can try is to make sure the TV isn't crushing blacks. Try a 22-Points calibration from the lowest code value RGB 10, then next one 9, 8,7,...,1,0
No, and the reason is the performance is dropping below 100 with the settings I'm using, so I can't lock to 100, and I don't want to lock to 60 if I'm getting 110fps
Nah, he should watch the first 3 Star Wars movies, because prequels were terrible in terms of writing, and don't look that great, because they were shot on low res digital cameras.

Otherwise, it's not worth it,
Is this Analysis with DX12 or VuLkan?
Vulkan
Anyone know a fix for vulkan hdr while alt+tabing? Basically you need vulkan for certain mods and you need full screen for hdr.
However if you alt+tab, it goes into borderless mode and it turns back to sdr. Now i can alt+enter and get back into full screen hdr but any way to keep full screen when alt+tabbing?
Using Prefer Layered on DXGI Swapchain doesnt fix it.
That's right, I don't know of a fix for that.
i have question just start using HDR with win 11 is HDR suppose to be have warm colour temperature or Blueish which one better ?
warm 50 is generally the reference to use as movies are filmed with that in mind.
HDR is an absolute, 100% accuracy is the goal. We don't have any display that can do that yet but at least we can try to get the white balance as close to accurate as possible.
For me however, I prefer a warmer color temperature for my eyes, because it's more relaxing, easier, less eye strain.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 thank you
To me hdr is good but better with borderless window its better with hdr 10+ both
I beleive on RDR2 only Full screen allows the HDR from the game
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 i ques its auto hdr nut my tv shows hdr 10+ same as full screen if that enabled
Yes
It's impossible to fix HDR for RDR2 because the developers control it completely. Turn your HDR on, go inside any building at any time (day or night) then go back outside. For whatever reason, the HDR works perfectly when you are inside and if you pay attention you can literally see it getting screwed up in real time when you walk outside. From inside, the days look bright and the nights look dark, but as soon as you are outside nights become too bright and days become too dark. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do.
There's some dynamic tone mapping going on, they do that on many games, it's like adjusting exposure on a camera
Thats normal and not broken at all. Its just auto exposure doing its thing.
Why you don’t recommend using native color gamut man? I am not talking about accuracy. What is your opinion, since you also used native color gamut before
I use Native on SDR to not clamp the colors to rec709 but for HDR BT2020 is already selected. We don't get more color saturation with Native on HDR, it's just a different calibration
will you ever stream while playing video games?
Absolutely, I'll probably start with Black Myth Wukong
Ariel what 22p calibration are you currently using? Did you calibrate your green-4 and b-11 to 22p calibration ?
Yes, that's the one I'm using.
Bro, can you do a test with Lossless scaling from Steam
Yes, video coming
How to make Hgig brighter on my lg c2, I am using ps5
HGIG tracks EOTF fairy well on the C2 and it should be bright if the content is good. If it's not you can always use Dynamic tone mapping
The other thing you can try is to make sure the TV isn't crushing blacks. Try a 22-Points calibration from the lowest code value RGB 10, then next one 9, 8,7,...,1,0
Wat game version do you have ?
Are you using motion pro here?
No, and the reason is the performance is dropping below 100 with the settings I'm using, so I can't lock to 100, and I don't want to lock to 60 if I'm getting 110fps
What's your TV bro?
LG C1 OLED 48
you should watch the first 6 star wars films, not the recent trilogy!
The recent stuff don't resonate with me at all. I remember I liked 2 of the older movies
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 same
Nah, he should watch the first 3 Star Wars movies, because prequels were terrible in terms of writing, and don't look that great, because they were shot on low res digital cameras.
@@KenTWOu nah, prequels are great and serve the story well
Hi man, i tried your 2p calibration settings. Dont they look to green? Also why are not using your previous d65 calibration that you made video about?
Maybe they look green on your panel, that's why I'd recommend doing it yourself.
Why so low DCI P3 and BT 2020 coverage? Brightness pop is one thing, but it displays only SDR color gamuts anyways
That's a problem with a lot of games, I agree
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 so in theory, you could turn off the native HDR and use tools to get more out if it via lillium inverse tonemaping etc.? Interesting case
Tes, you can push the colors as much as you want with reshade
I suggest trying out the Vestigia mod, they tweaked the HDR to be even better.
Nice! I'll check it out 👍
Hello Ariel! My LG C4 video just dropped!!! In the video I give the trick to get super low latency on motion interpolation on the tv, faster then Game Motion Plus on the samsungs even 🫨🫨🫨
I'll check it out
