Hey Pete, I just want to let you know I’ve been a mechanic for years. I saw the lathe Chuck you have that has rounded over heads. The only thing you need to do is take a ball hammer and smack them right in the middle. What it does is where they have Rolled over because somebody use the wrong size it squares them back up. Trust me. I’ve used this 1000 times in the 25 years. I’ve been in industrial maintenance saves you a lot of money to replace hardware and if that does not work the other thing to do is take a flat punch do the same exact thing it’s going to work. I guarantee you all you’re doing is shocking The bolt hope everything works out. Have a great day.

I used to press records. Alot of bands these days sell their test pressings. Once you get the record press stabilized you do 20-25 test pressings and send them to the band or management for approval. Sonic Youth isn't that big of a deal these days, but some of those test pressings can go $150 and up. Really depends on how rabid their fan base is .
Let's break out the EZ outs and dremels to fix something thats not broken.

I bought a pair of counterfeit Merrell Moab hiking shoes off eBay last year. I was suspicious because they didn't have the same fit and feel as a prior pair I bought in a store did. Wore them for a year and bought a new pair from an online shoe store that are legit and compared them side by side with the old pair. The give away on the bogus pair is single stitching everywhere. The real ones have double stitching in several places on the shoes.

I feel like that helmet could have gone either way. I hope the kid sends it off to Becket or something, because while Pete is good at what he does, he admits he's not a professional authenticator. I can see not taking the risk, though.

I have that same case for a Steve Largent helmet. Bought it at Micheal's on sale for $49 about 15yrs ago.
If this kid gave a shit at all about protecting that autographed helmet, he would've kept the case. It's pretty clear those autographs weren't real.

These are test pressings of copyrighted music that has already been released. Unless there's some sort of hidden away secret recording from Sonic Youth that no one has ever heard about - that would be extremely unlikely, especially in the modern era of the band.

I love Sonic Youth as do thousands of others with great taste in music 😛 and I once got into a secret party put together specially for Sonic Youth just by walking by a security guard and smiling, the same security guard who moments later stopped Kim Gordon from walking in because he didn't know who she was and wasn't convinced that she was allowed in. 😂 I felt so bad but had to just watch and say nothing otherwise he would have found out that I was not supposed to be there.
That's my Sonic Youth story that I'm sure nobody else cares about but I shared it anyway.

Blackhawks jerseys are some of the easiest in sports to tell if they're counterfeit. The crest on the front will be chain stitched on any of the authentic ones with the fight strap. Also, the thickness of the shoulder "C" is never right. Always too thin, and usually the wrong shade of yellow.
