I am 81 years of age, live alone and having contributed to the system all my working life find it difficult to understand why illegal immigrants who have paid nothing towards National Insurance should be given such a priority. my 70 yr old mum, with dementia who only gets state pension will lose this money as she isn't eligible for any additional support. of course i will make sure she is warm but its disgusting knowing immigrant hotels will be fully warm as will 10 and 11 downing street

You can’t blame Labour voters because its the antiquity of the voting system we have that needs to be changed and I think we need to look back to 1642 to change it because Labour or Tory’s never will as there comfortable with it as they get many seats by requiring only a third of the votes. Ever since WW2 this country has been ruled by governments that only pick up one vote out of three, be it the two votes are between different parties but a minority ruling vote all the same.

Hunt, as he is obliged to do, 5 weeks before the election, sent the opposition a report on the countries finances which was verified by the ONS and the other financial institute. The report was made available to the opposition. They made no mention of the alleged black hole during the run up to the election and say they have just found a deficit which must have been in that report 8 weeks ago. She's mislead Parliament by saying she's just found something that was there weeks ago, and so she should be punished accordingly.

My cousins home has had to be sold to pay for his nursing care in a home. Worked hard and bought a home and now taken off him. Those who haven’t bothered working get everything free. Where is the incentive for people to work hard save and buy homes.

I have a lot of respect for the elderly unlike the government they should be warm and comfortable they have contributed a lot more then us . freezing them in winter is worring .
Pensioners persecuted , the did not get child care money , big family allowances, any cash during lock down. Now we have to pay for all these hand-outs out of our pensions

it is totally wrong that we pay 11.2Billion to other nations, while we have a 22 billion debt, Britan must come first, our commitments to net zero have not been debated and the call to reverse regress acts already under millband need full debate, father more the uk is not responsible for others when we supposedly have to meet other targets as well, that money can play for the winter fuel allowance, can pay off our debt, and also help renationalise the failed themes water , further more the levelling up budget that labour want to spend can be paid out right from this, without any tax alterations,
All this will do is fill the hospitals with elderly people this winter. Junior doctors will be earning the rise they get.
