My husband 75 years old has Dementia and bladder cancer. I'm 71 and now his carer. Our pensions together puts us a few pounds over the amount to apply for pension credit. My bills for electric and oil have doubled. This is unfair and on top on that they want to tax the state pension. Why are they picking on the poorer and more vulnerable. I should imagine these so called asylum seekers will get pension credit and other benifits, so they will get everything we should be getting. My husband and I together have worked over 70 years. Paid tax and national insurance all the time. Why should we be made to suffer

I found some old pay slips the other day...ive worked for the NHS as an auxilary nurse for 19 years.....pay rate when i started..£8 40...19 years later £12.44.......WTF? Should have learned to drive a bloody train....

I’m 72 this year and even with the winter fuel payment I had to keep my heating on very low last winter. If the government is stopping the winter fuel payment I will have to manage with extra clothing and hot water bottle this winter.

I'm 78 years old receiving the basic pension £168 per week . I have worked and paid into the firms pension scheme therefore have a small works pension, so don't qualify for pension credit. This is an absolute disgrace , thousands off us are being punished for working and paying into a scheme that was supposed to help us in retirement .
