Brent, Thank you for featuring my kit this week! I want to convert to a Gibraltar rack system so this is giving me my own ideas, which is what I was hoping for!! For anyone who wants to know, those cymbals (apart from the ride) are CRX Cymbals, go check em out ;)
Hi everyone, I'm glad you dig the set up. The floor tom side can use a side rack as well to clean up the floor space. I just wanted to show a different option. There are so many ways of doing things, and it's difficult to capture them all.
The Place, went of the 8" Tom is ingenious. I think I´ll try that with a little side snare, but i don´t think that I have enough place for it. I wonder why you didn´t bring a no leg Hihat stand in.
I've noticed recently that Gibraltar has been using a multitude of cymbals in there videos. Of course, they used to be in partership with Sabian, Gretsch, Latin Percussion, and Kat, until they were brought by DW (So now they are just, kind-of partnered) and have been using many different cymbals.
That looks to be a seriously intense amount of torque that the snare drum is applying to the clamp. The lever arm is very long, and I wouldn't think that would hold over time? I had something similar to that holding a pair of hats, and the arm was not extended even that far, but it started bending a few weeks in.
Is there a way to use the stealth rack in a standard 3 rack tom configuration? I mean 8" offset and 10" and 12" over the bass drum but without using tom holders on the bass drum?
Love the left side Brent but why not a side rack on right...? Would look a whole lot classier and cleaner. Are you doing things different on each side to show what's possible? :) Love your videos man :)
Hey now, You know I mash your taters a little bit in these comment sections right Brent? But dammit I like these videos. Are there meetings I can go to, do you suppose? On a bit more serious note though, could you throw us (me) a coupla tricks on mounting 'floor toms' on a side bar? Actually 2 sidebars as like an 11x13 next to the (remote) hat as well as a 14x16 alongside and below the ride which I keep almost flat and as low as I can get it with a 22" kick (the usual jazzbo real estate as in what a 4 piece kit would offer. These are DW black labels so not heavy at all. Basically a 3 top, 2 down kit w optional 18" true gong drum I built from tama lugs/hoop. What about the 14" rototom that sits alongside the 8 and 10 sandwiched below the ride, less than an inch from directly on top of that 22? Come on Brent, we gotta save something for the sequel... No really, you can tell legs arejust going to be in the wrong place, especially where my feet need to be. I've used this type of kit for along while usually with imaginative cymbal stand modifications with varying degrees of success but it doesn't suffer inconsistencies lightly. So cancelled tour lands bitchin rack from household name drummer in my lap, well I think they actually paid me to get rid of it. So...first time rack guy except for a brief North Drum incident. Long time wunderin. Let the cartoons begin....
Just wondering, because whether I get picked or not I have no clue as to how I would put my giant kit and additional gear together. I have so many cymbal stands I can't even reach the cymbals in front of the bass drums. I'd be grateful for any help you can share.

I LOVED how you went over the specifics at the end
I like the way the snare is mounted, especially when using double pedals.
think imma use this idea for my second drum kit!
Thanks brent!
I like the subtle nod to the recent DW purchase of the company. That's a gorgeous kit.
Very unique I must say.
This setup is pretty cool!

I'm not sure what's cooler, this series or your job
Kinda similar to mine!! Cheers for the ideas guys!!
That's a really cool set up

What better than 3 in 1??? 4 in 1!

Perhaps the remaining cymbals deserved to be on the same small rack.

Does Gibraltar make a cable type kick.
(kind of like a cable hi hat, but for kick. like a cajon kick, but bass drums. )
+Cesar Moreno Look for the Dixon Cajon Pedal Plus.
Do you have to resubmit your kit each month?
WHAT ARE THOOOOOSEE.....cymbals
Hey, +GibraltarDIY , just saying, there's a typo in this video description.
Hi, can someone show me the clamp to mount the dw tom to the rack please ?
You can use either the SC-GCRMC or the SC-GCSMC multi clamp. You will just need the tom arm to connect the tom to the clamp
dude
