I just got a 997 in this exact color! Two questions, what’s your thoughts on silver wheels for this paint? Like silver HREs. Second, is it ok to bring this car to a soft auto car wash?
Nothing for now. With car mods, they say you're only one mod away from ruining your car. Any mod I do needs to be easily reversible in case it doesn't turn out well.
Your videos are really helpful. I have the same car and color. I recently damaged my front bumper and I was wondering if you still have your previous/original front bumper and is it available for sale?
Sweet mod! Moshammer side skirts look great, I like the fact your just doing what you like and not pandering! I'm actually considering the Jacquemond rear wing much like the old 993 gt2 style, I love a nice wing, what do you think of it?
Looks great as I personally prefer more "subtle" type of mods....the spray painting can be a pain as I am going through painting the center console as we speak for my 987 Boxster...
This gen is so timeless i would refrain from modding the exterior. But i am not going to lie and i give you credit that you did a great job in not overdoing it. It looks great! How many miles are you at? Any scored bore anxiety? Any sooty tail pipes? 34k miles on mine, 3rd owner Northeast car. I'm getting paranoid about mine. Heh
Thank you! No issues so far at 76k miles! Just warm your car up by driving it and keep the revs under 4k until it's at operation temp and you should be fine.
Brother, what's important is how YOU feel about your mods... but since you ask, the skirts and the painted part behind the rear wheels don't work for me. All the rest is fantastic, but the shape of the skirts and the fit line would really drive me nuts. 😑 On a happier note, I love that you are still posting these videos year after year, you're a real asset to the community. Thank you!
Are you referring to the plasti dip? If so, it has held up nicely. The plasti dip on the rear bumper valence has been on there since 2015 with no peeling. It actually holds up well on areas that aren't touched much.
I couldn't watch this. If the photo up front with all of the red bits is what you landed on, count me out! I'd be embarrassed driving that thing. Sorry, it was beautiful before.
He wanted you to watch it. It’s pretty ho-hum if you ask me. I think the reason I subscribed was because there was previous common sense. That may be fleeting.
Personally I think it looks best stock. You're destroying resale value by doing all those mods, but its your car, enjoy. If you don't like plain, stop buying grey cars.
Yeah you made it ugly!! Sorry but just my honest opinion.. is nothing like an original Porsche 911. Original that’s where the value is. But.. everyone has preferences.. me, I’m all about original cars. I won’t mess with anything on any car.. 👍🏻🙋🏻♂️

Huge fan of the channel! 🎉
looks cool. thanks for your continued guides. have learned a lot about working on my 997 through your vids
Looks good!
Looks awesome 👌
For whatever it's worth, this mod is officially Me-Approved! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Looks very nice. I think it looks great!
Nice tasteful mods!

I think it looks great, very tasteful. Thanks for making the videos, I have learned a lot from your content. What's next?

Well done

Not red , good idea
Looks good, enjoyed the show.
I suggest you do a matte vinyl wrap computer cut for the rear bumper section instead of the plastidip. It will have a cleaner edge.
That's a good idea. I have some black vinyl sitting around. I'll give it a shot if I ever remove the plasti dip.
Very nice
Thanks

I personally love the clean lines of a spoiler-less look, but to each their own!
@@CarFanatic yes the car does look sweet without one for sure 👍🏾 love the gen 2s, yours is a great colour too! Thanks
I would add rear fixed mud flaps to extend the side skirt a little. they cost maybe $50- $100 on Amazon. different styles to choose from.

If I were you I'll mod it to 997.2 SPORTS CLASSIC with Ducktail.
Looks great. Subtle but effective 👍
Thanks! 👍
There’s another company that makes those same side skirts for a lot less
Which one?

you have done well sir.
your 997 looks good, just wonder if that a Moshammer side skirt or a copy?
They are replicas from eBay.
A for effort, and I’m a fan, but your car deserves a more permanent solution. Looks cool though

@@CarFanatic car looks great
Not a fan of the stock on skirts, like the other mods
Sort answer....yes, very ugly.

The red bits is just for the thumbnail
maybe watch the video before you comment
unfortunately no go for me..
Hard pass on non-OEM parts.
I'm usually with you. There just aren't any oem side skirt options for the 997 narrow body cars.

Porsches are not mazdas.
Bad taste 🤢
