The funny thing is that I intended to go to 23H2 for Windows 11 when doing a clean install, but I ended up in 24H2 instead. So far, it's working just fine. The only issue I have so far is this attestation thing saying it's not ready despite TPM being ready.

Once you've gone through the process, using the gpedit method, and 24H2 is installed should you change the gpedit settings back to it's original state?

Yes well Brian i have my machines only receiving updates for Windows 11. Frankly the current system unless there is a really great security feature with 24H2 I am happy with 23H2 as is. Having said that Windows security is not that great anyway and I rely on my ESET Ultimate setup. A query mate if one bought a new mashie and 24H2 is in sit is there way of blocking it or any updates for it??
I'm not trying to be a smart arse here, and I realise that for 99% of Windows users who just buy a computer with Windows preinstalled, the way I operate is way beyond them. I am still a Windows person, but recently I have gone down the path of running my main Windows as a virtual machine running under a Linux host and passing through the GPU and some other devices to the VM. It has been a HUGE learning curve for me, and I still have one minor bug to sort out. But now that I am here it takes all the stress out of updates and other dodgy software. I take regular 'snapshots', which only take seconds, so I always have a clean version of Windows to fall back on. I keep my 'clean' version updated with the software and settings that I want to keep. I'm not a multi VM person, I just have the 1 VM installed, purely for the purpose of always having a fresh version of Windows available whenever I want it. Even if my main daily driver was Linux I would still run it in a VM as I do with Windows. Once again, I am not one of those people who say that 'this is the answer' and that 'everyone should do what I do' (like those ignorant people who say 'just change to Linux'). I'm just pointing out the convenience I have found from working this way. My Windows stays on 24hrs a day and most of the time I forget it's even running in a VM. Mine runs on a desktop computer with a 2nd video card and using dual monitors. It would be more problematic on a laptop I would think but not impossible. For anyone with the time, ability, and patience I can thoroughly recommend giving this system a try.
Have you done a video on LTSC yet? I'm also wondering where a good place to get a license for it is. The Microsoft site tells me I need to buy at least five licenses but I only need two.

I got it fixed with lots of manual appxpackage and appxprovisionedpackage removals and inplace upgrades with different source methods. Best is to inplace upgrade with a mediacreationtool created ISO file (not an usb stick), anything else creates errors, also a difference of 1+GB between that iso and a regular iso download.

This is not the update to 24H2. I had it also, awaiting for a restart. Just did that and it didn't update the system to 24H2.

Do not get the update as there are bugs in the release. I went back to 23H2 & failed on rollback so i just used Rufus & installed over 24H2.

@@MrBoxershorts16 that's correct. KB5044384 is an update preview and it also fixes the sfc /scannow errors.
