Haha! I noticed the Tamiya connectors a split second before your disclaimer popped up om the video! Deans connectors are traditional, but I have been switching some of my cars over to the XT60's when nostalgia isn't so important. Keep up with the great videos!
Great to see my rear suspension arm fit nicely. also I like the way you repaired the battery tray. Maybe lost a tiny bit of stiffness since its two parts now but probably you wouldnt notice. Best wishes, Wrenchdog.
Arms were awesome. No issues.. Shot them with some gloss spray first. Since posting the video, a fan of the channel reached out and sent me a battery tray. It looses a lot of its rigidity without it. So getting the battery tray really helped. Sorry I didnt give you a shoutout regarding the 3d printed arms. I apologize. But i'll definitely be checking in to see what new parts you are offering.
Looking forward to seeing the Dyna Storm going around the track. Good to know about the TR-15 parts.. Finally got my own Dyna Storm to add the fleet :)
Thanks. I just checked on there and saw it! Damn, how did I miss that. Well someone has reached out to me and is donating one to the channel to help out. Thanks for letting me know
Unfortunately old Tamiya’s become brittle with age , I have a Dyna Storm sitting on the shelf because I don’t have any spare parts for it . Hoping they Rere it soon so I can get one to run and have some spare parts for the old one .
Yes. Good noticing. There is a slight flex to it but I'm in the process of getting a battery retainer for the Dyna Storm from someone. I guess it was a quick fix but definitely it would be much better with the original battery retainer since it runs all the way down and anchors the rear and the front. It was an idea I thought I'd try out and see....
Instead of screwing the battery retainer from top and bottom, consider tapping it through and running a long machine screw up through the bottom. Then put a nut on the top. The self tapping screws put a lot of stress on the plastic.
Thaks for sharing that idea. Its actually a great idea. I've already sources the origiinal battery tray and installed it. If it were to break again, i'll most likely use your strategy. Thanks.
Unfortunately not. Cant' seem to get my hands on one. But, did find someone who was willing to sell me some spare part that I could use on the dyna storm.
That’s awesome. I’d love that because there is still some flex to the whole chassis with that super astute battery retainer. It’s not as good as having the Dyna Storm battery retainer running all the way down the chassis and anchoring in the rear of the car. My email is Akap23@gmail.com if you want to chat and I can provide you with my address or you can reach me through Facebook... let me know. Thanks and of course I really appreciate that you reached out to me for that part. It really helps.
Looks great! nice upgrades.

Awesome. Should you need parts, there is a seller/desinger on shapeways called wrenchdog who makes all 3d printed parts for the dyna storm.
@@RCRetro Thanks Ari, good to know.. Thankfully I'm good for now no cracks yet. But I'm going to be looking at getting spares just to be safe.
Thanks for the video, you should check custom rc parts on FB he's doing a hole heap of alloy parts. Great quality.
Ari you can get the k parts Inc the dyna storm battery tray from tamico. Unsure whether they deliver to US.
Thanks. I just checked on there and saw it! Damn, how did I miss that. Well someone has reached out to me and is donating one to the channel to help out. Thanks for letting me know
Tamiya cars have tons of character but they break too damn easy.
Yeah last practice he broke dyna storm again. He said he has spare parts of what he broke thou
Lol how much would a rc 10 with a stamp and original body and stickers and a tear drop wing with no chasie braces and some scratches and 3 holes
Easily over $200-$300. I’d go onto eBay and do a search for and then filter for recent sales and compare yours to what sold

Hi mate. Did you lose any of the chassis rigidity by having the battery tray in two parts? Good video

@@RCRetro yeah it's cool. Maybe you could use a couple of thin pieces of carbon to brace them together

Tamiya needs to re-release the dyna storm and the dyna blaster.
The Dyna Storm was Tamiya's 2nd rerelease back in 2001 I believe.. But it would be great if they could put out another batch one day.
My first RC was actually a TR-15! Coincidentally, it was a Kyosho though. 1/10 Nitro Buggy
Looking for you to get a W
Looks like a real contender👍 jumps nice👌 I was the 69th like😜
what no TR15T ???
Unfortunately not. Cant' seem to get my hands on one. But, did find someone who was willing to sell me some spare part that I could use on the dyna storm.
Who makes the rear tires on it? I had problems with shape ways.
Hi Arri, I have a battery retainer brand new you can have for free
