    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  2 месяца назад +1

      So yes and no. It depends on how much you use of the chapter 1606. You have a total of 48 months of benefits if you use the 1606 and the post 9/11.
      However, if you use 36 months of the 1606, you will only have 12 months of the post 9/11. So if you plan on using the post 9/11, you don’t want to use too much of your 1606. I hope that makes sense.

      It really depends on your situation. Active duty is for those who need a full pay, want to get away from their current situation and start new. Guard and Reserve are for people who are already situated and have a good thing going, just need some extra assistance and benefits to make a little easier, or just want to serve but can’t do it full time. Definitely. It’s basically a full ride scholarship to obtain a degree. You also get the military experience to help with your officer package once you complete your degree.

    Does your schooling under ch. 1606 have to be in alignment with that specialized career field in order to qualify for the kicker?! 🤑

      Nope. You can choose your degree path.

    Can you join active duty airforce as a 17 year old? And if so how do they deal with the year of school ahead for active duty.

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  6 месяцев назад +1

      You can. You’d need parental consent, and you’ll finish your last year of school while reporting to student flight once a month if you’re guard, or the delayed entry program once a month if you’re active duty. I hope this helps.

    Are the school benefits the same for commission officers ?

    • @Jodywithawhy
      @Jodywithawhy  7 месяцев назад

      Most states only pay up to a bachelors degree, you’d have to do some research to see what your state allows. But the Montgomery GI bill 1606 will still be available for all members.

    I just took my ASVAB and I scored a 62 and I’m really happy with my my score but a job I want that’s on Air Force website is Cyber Defense Operations but my recruiter says that eventho it’s on the website it’s not a Job, Why does the the Air Force have this job listed if it’s not possible to actually obtain??

    • @titoalade8356
      @titoalade8356 6 месяцев назад

      I think you recruiters lying to you I was asking mine about jobs in Cyber and she said I qualified for Cyber Defense Operations. I hear that sometimes recruiters try to push into the jobs that most people don’t and then they try to entice you with the bonuses.

      This is a normal thing now. I would recommend just bringing patient and let it work itself out. If you haven’t watched this video, this will show you how to increase your chances of having a medical waiver approved. ruclips.net/video/ynKjsxegEPE/видео.htmlsi=4x7_dg5G1ByWW2uw

      Yes. You’ll stay at the base you initially swore into, until you decide to move. If you ever decide to move.
