    I made this cake for my mom's 74th birthday. I needed to find a tutorial on how to put the orchids together to look like a real plant on a flower pot cake & I found this...Thank you so much for sharing your talent, you are such a blessing!!!

    WOW!!! Was für ein "Hauptdraht" ist das? Der sieht so viel stabiler aus, als alle, die ich hier habe...

    • @backorphine9808
      @backorphine9808  7 лет назад

      Vielen Dank Sue! Der Draht ist 2mm dick. Wir haben ihn damals im Bastelbedarf gekauft. Er eignete sich auf Grund seiner Stabilität besonders gut für die Orchidee.

    • @suestarizm5228
      @suestarizm5228 7 лет назад

      Danke für die Antwort! Habe nur 1,80mm Dicke hier. Ich hoffe das reicht aus...

      Sehr gerne! Ja das sollte es tun. Du merkst ja, ob der Draht aufrecht stehen kann. Viel Spaß beim Backen.

    Beautiful cake and tutorial! May i know what type of wires did u use?

    • @backorphine9808
      @backorphine9808  4 года назад +1

      Hello Nancy, thank you very much! We used florist wire. Unfortunately I can't tell you the size, because it's already been a while ago since we made the cake. But if you look up a tutorial for orchids on RUclips they will name the size for sure. Hope that helps =)

    I'm trying to make this with fondant and it doesnt work:( they keep falling from the wire..can I add Tylose or CMC powder to make it firm enough to make the orchid? It is so hard to find gumpaste here

    • @backorphine9808
      @backorphine9808  4 года назад

      It works best with gumpaste, because it hardens quicker and you can roll it out very thin. Have you already looked online for gumpaste?

    sieht super aus , aber was ist für ein Band was sie da benutzten ??

    • @backorphine9808
      @backorphine9808  7 лет назад

      Ira Ertel Vielen Dank! Das grüne Band nennt sich Floristenband. Wenn man es leicht auseinander zieht, ist es selbstklebend und hilft alle Elemente zu verbinden und den Draht zu verstecken😊

    Hallo was hast du den da für die Blumen verwendet Fondant oder etwas anderes?? Und wielange muss ich die einzelnen Teile trocknen lassen... Danke für die Antwort und echt tolle Arbeit

    • @backorphine9808
      @backorphine9808  7 лет назад +1

      Hallo Melanie. Vielen Dank für deinen Kommentar. Für die Blüten haben wir Blütenpaste verwendet. Diese trocknet ziemlich schnell aus und eignet sich daher perfekt dafür. Das hängt u.a. auch von der Umgebungstemperatur und Feuchtigkeit ab. Würde die Einzelteile, sobald sie sich nicht mehr verbiegen, zusammen bauen. Ich hoffe, dass ich dir weiterhelfen konnte.
