And of course I have a question for you: the buds that you heat up the wire for , why do you heat it? Are they already dry? ...thanks again for your video😊

You got some really amazing cakes there too! We let the buds dry out completely for a couple of days so they give you a firm base to work with. To enter the wire you need to heat it up. That way the sugar just melts a bit and both components are connected with eachother.

What's that powder that you use?

It's cornstarch - to prevent the fondant or gumpaste from sticking to the surface.

This was a wonderful demonstration of exceptional sugar art. The end result was beautiful, but, yes, I’m sorry there is a “but”. I came across your video because I was looking for a tutorial for a flower pot cake. As nice as this was to watch, it didn’t teach me to do it. A slower video with an audio voice over detailing the steps would have been helpful.
