Neat that they made it part of the spine image. I'm excited to get my copy. Imbalance is one of my personal favourite trilogies, so it is a bummer it never got to continue. I know even Faith Erin Hicks at the time said she had wanted to continue that storyline before the comics changed directions.
I'm happy to finally have this in my collection :). On sad thing I noticed though, is that this is the only omnibus that doesn't include three full art pages of the covers of the individual parts at the end. I wonder why they didn't do that this time...
So glad they finished the spine image! I should be getting my copy on Friday! 🙂 I'm also glad I never ran into that spine issue at the time I was starting to collect the omnibus editions for the ATLA comics. When I went to a comic book store to get several of them (especially The Rift), I did see your PSA video about The Rift being fixed with the re-release of the omnibus edition, so luckily, I was aware that the spine image had been fixed and looked very carefully on the shelf to make sure I got the right copy with the fixed spine. It was unfortunate that because people assumed the original Rift omnibus release with the thick spine was proper print, there was a number of reviews for the Smoke and Shadow omnibus and seeing ratings such as 1-2 stars because they said they ruined the spine image when it was actually fault on The Rift.
I love the omnibus editions more than the library edition ones even though I own both. I find it way easier to hold and read the omnibus ones and you can take them with you with ease plus the spine image is awesome having them all connect and make an image. I was not expecting imbalance to have a part of the spine.
Oh, the image across the spines of the books. I was wondering what this mysterious spinning image was, lol. Yeah if you get an ATLA Omnibus the book will have that.
@AirspeedPrime so I can buy this new box set and it would have the picture. I'm a huge avatar fan and I still haven't even read avatar and the bounty hunter yet.😂 By the way is that comic good I know u must of probably read it by now.
@AirspeedPrime I just haven't had the right mind set yet in order to focus or comprehend what I'm reading. Maybe after I get my editing sence packs I'll have the right mind set to read it.
Thanks for these overviews, really helpful 😊 I had a quick question about these paperback omnibus editions. Do they happen to have sewn binding like some other Dark Horse paperbacks, e.g. Usagi Yojimbo Saga?
I think they’ll probably combine the lost adventures and Team avatar tales like the library edition so they could complete the other edge.
Very happy they decided to complete the spine image even though they altered the cover style.

Do you think Darkhorse will release an omnibus version of Lost Adventures/Team Avatar to complete the left side of the spine image?
It would probably make the most sense since it also has a library edition and is now the only one without an omnibus.

12:39 seconds on this video your showing the spin image picture of team avatar.😅

Omnibus editions have the standard glue binding, Library Editions have the sewn binding.
@@AirspeedPrime Cool, thanks! 👍
