Your rides are an inspiration! I've been thinking about the area inside the Sun Valley Parkway perimeter for a while. I've ridden all the 'official' mountain bike areas, White Tanks, Estrellas, South Mountain, Scottsdale Sonoran Preserve etc. and wanted to try something out off the way and not clogged up with hikers. I gave it a go yesterday and headed west from Sun Valley trailhead. Found out right away that I had to lug the bike over the fence to go west! Decided to use my fat bike because I knew the moto trails would be pretty sandy. Just made it a few miles west of the hill because of the heat but it was enough to peak my interest. Maybe next time, I'll try your access through the neighborhood. I like that it is a vast area that's pretty much off the radar for hiking and mountain biking. I figured as you said, it's just a matter of time before it's bulldozed into golf courses and cookie cutter homes. Have you ridden any trails north and west of Sun Valley Parkway?
Good thing about that marlin 7 is that you can add a back rack and carry even more stuff! I run 4 panniers on the bike, 2 on my coho trailer. My ebike is like a bosch motor RV!
I don't want to pull a trailer. I still love the idea of solar. I think my solution is a couple of flexible 100W panels wrapped around my tent bag on my rack. Not for riding, but still have it when I need it. Plus MPPT etc.
I have 2 foldable panels ( ruclips.net/video/FoUgyzfxA2Y/видео.html ) that I've been using since my first solar tour. Given all the toys/cameras its nice to have a recharge option.
Dartmoor looks cold and wet for this next week. I been doing these trip about once a week. Rare that I can camp near home given how hot the summers get here.
@Eric_Tennant it definately wont be until summer .probably cadover bridge first or plymbridge .but i have enough batterys to go a fair way out .ive got a few high powered ebikes that will get me there pretty quickly
Think that original video is around 4 years old now. The camera I had at the time wasn't good. New river trail can be seen in all 3 of my camping videos that I've done in the past few weeks. Not sure how I could redo that video. Wouldn't be unedited like before.
@@Adventures4vida regen on bikes is about stopping without needing to really use the brakes. Not about getting energy back. My avg is 2.5%/ ride but I haven’t had to replace my disc brake pads in 4,000 miles and counting :)

You do great videos! Can you do an up to date overview video of the New River and Skunk Creek Trails in Peoria, AZ?

If you can do a up to date at some point, that would be something I would love to watch
Wait - rain in the desert how does that work!
it happens in 10 minute torrental downpours segments!
If you had fallen down the shaft, you would have been taking a long green break……..🤪
Yea at least 30ft down.
63° at what time?

@@Eric_Tennant perfect 😎
youre roads are so flat here in plymouth uk its just hills everywhere .
They built Phoenix at the bottom of all the mountains for water. Much of the land was farms and already flat when they started building it.
@@Eric_Tennant looks like a great place for ebikes .i would love to get my stealth bomber clone out in those roads
I'd encourage you to play with regen. Not that you know anything I'm talking about being a mid-drive guy.
Now I know you haven't seen my older content then ruclips.net/video/Z9L1bhDwcG4/видео.html from 2 years ago
cars don't even offer real regen. Why would that be feasible on a bicycle?

@@pdxevgrin oh didnt realize that thanks for explaining. My deore xt's, are 2000 miles in plenty of pad left. I haul a fulled loaded ebike too.
you should try ebike regen and double your pad life :) I know you're trying to flex. When you get to 65,000 miles let me know.@@Adventures4vida
