This was a great video! My husband is an ISTP and I’m not going to lie, it took us 12 years to get where we are now. I’ve always been an unhealthy INFJ, so relationships have been hard for me. But now I appreciate his personality type SO much. He’s truly my calm in the storm and is the most brilliant man I’ve ever met. He can literally fix anything. I love watching the ISTP version in Frank James videos because he nails him every time!! 😂
hi buddy ... may i ask ...? so which profession below is more appropriate for the ISTP function ... mechanic or electrician ... give the logical answer based on the function of the ISTP thank god bless ......
My elder sister is an istp, she is raw and to the point with her words. I envy her quite confidence and directness when dealing with other people. We used to head butt a lot in our teenage years. She has been mostly critical of me all my life, and I had no idea on what I am doing wrong to piss her off. But as we've grown older, the connection has become stronger. We don't talk that often, all blame on me, but when we do it is quite pleasant. She is calmer around me now and I still have no idea what caused that gradual transformation in her. I don't think these two types are naturally compatible with each other. But only if an Infj learns to take istp's criticism positively and Istp can learn to be little more sensitive and less ragy towards Infj, the relationship can work in the long term. My personal opinion, friendship between them would be fine but romantic one will definitely require some hard work and fireworks.
My favorite thing about ISTP is that, yes, it's super easy to see into their souls. I can tear down their walls lightning fast, and then we can sit and be very comfortable with each other. They do need to work on their listening though. ISTPs, sorry, but you do have a responsibility to hear what the person across from you has to say....because, sorry buddy, you're not perfect yet. And feedback from others is good, sometimes. But you have to hear it before you toss or keep it. Love, an older INFJ.
hm. he is a super awesome ISTP. usually i absolutely despise ISTP because they just can't let me be autonomous, and they want to insult. maybe he's an ISTJ cuz INFJ apparently get along with ISTJ
What is DeJuan's occupation? May I suggest during interviews review of the top four cognitive functions and perhaps identify them when they occur during the interview. Ray's description of 'The person:' "You are smart and coo. Everybody likes you, Molly."
I'm sorry, what's that?? In one of the interviews he mentioned something about taking something apart and putting it back together faster than anybody else ....
Classic ISTP then ... like my brother-in-law, the aeronautical engineer. Quiet reserved thinker with designs, instructions, CAD, diagrams, math(Ti), etc., and possible solutions (Ni) whirling in front of his eyes, with itchy fingers to take it apart (Se) and put it back together again, especially when redolent of oil, grease, and gasoline. Say hello and talk when I arrive? Nope (inferior Fe).
Im an INFJ. My bf took the Myers briggs test when we first met a year ago and got INFP. He has some INFP qualities no doubt, but I still think he acts more like an ISTP. Hes veryyy similar to the ISTP here. So now im all confused 😅
I got infp almost 6 times, but reading functions I'm actually an infj, o think it depends on your mental and emotional state at the time it could affect your decision and choices.
I ask your view because I am an immigrant I do not have enough space for discussion .. and when I worked as a construction assistant then my boss gave me which choice I would take as an area of expertise ... I was an istp man I have ever felt carpentry as well as electricity and I both like it but my boss said that I have to choose one of those fields of work and I'm starting to get confused ... can you give me a logical view ... so in this decision which one should I take as someone with an ISPT personality .... ??? carpenter (framing house) ..... electrician (wireman) ..... ???? Your answer is more or less very helpful for me, I hope God will bless your family and friends ...
Anton, it can feel like a lot of pressure making a big life decision! Know that you can always change your mind later. Ive heard it helps to write down pros/cons to each and perhaps meditate to see which one speaks to you. In general, those careers both sound like a great fit for ISTP. Hands on 🙌🏻 good luck!

He's ISTP. People can say "I think" when they mean "I feel", or "I feel" when they mean "I think". Even so... thinkers can feel, and feelers can think.
Ditto. My ISTP husband is a sponge for learning things & applying them immediately. This leads him to pick up my INFJ vocabulary. My guy says “I feel” a lot. Even though he’s not inclined to feel most of the time. I always take notice of that and smile a little on the inside. We’re the sum of who we hang out with
@@TypeAHippie That's true. I suppose it could be more of a learned behavior. Besides, I'm an INFP and I usually say "I think" most of the time; probably because I value thinking over feeling (not in reference to the cognitive functions, but the generic usage of the words). And i just looked it up. Even if he was mistyped as an ISTP, he would most likely be an ISTJ or an INTP. Those are the most common mistypes for ISTPs.
I'm an ISTP and I feel very deeply. I just find the majority of things people get worked up about to be stupid. As the guy said, things you can't do anything about. I cry watching movies while my INFJ wife is "ptttssing" all over the place. When Tony Stark finally succumbed, I was practically a puddle of emotion. My wife watches these "real life" events and I'm doing the same thing. She asks me, isn't that sad, the dad and his daughter were stranded and both nearly died??? I say, NO! The guy was stupid and should have been prepared and his lack of common sense almost killed his daughter. Feelings are human and ISTPs are not immune to them.
I'm an ISTP. It's Monday night (or Tuesday morning actually) 1:30am and I'm drinking whiskey. My INFJ wife is in bed probably dreaming about the apocalypse. I, on the other hand, can make fire in the rain and can get an old motorcycle running in the event of an EMP so we're good to go!
@@Cinderella-mc8kf Oh cools! Understand. I think I might have been attracted to an istp type. He was kind of a gangsta but quiet and people called him weird... Now I don't talk to him. Too insensitive and uncaring.

The Stare is very real... quite intimidating, but not always intentional. But negative people feel it’s impact.
