Wow! I gotta say, over the years my favorite part of broccoli are the stems, much sweeter tasting, not to mention highest in nutrients. Love the cream added, and no cooking of rice ahead, and burning it. Another fabulous recipe and video!
Oooh the addition of heavy cream sounds heavenly! I like the fuller taste that it would offer but have never been brave enough to try it so thank you for the motivation!

Love that I usually have all those ingredients on hand, except for cream! Will be trying it this week. The only skillet I have that can be put in the oven is cast iron. Should I do the recipe but then transfer everything to a casserole dish before it goes in the oven?
Believe it or not, Joliet Jr. College's culinary department has a similar recipe with curry powder, pepperidge farm stuffing cubes, and velveta. Sounds disgusting, but it was actually pretty good. I cannot find my old copy of it.

This is so much better than the "quick"version using Minute Rice, soup, and chicken breast! Also loved the layering of the seasonings!

Broccoli and cabbage leaves are great used as greens,full of iron, I throw nothing that can be used.even chopped cold in salads.
