I have a Shadow 2 Orange and my buddy uses the 320 Max, we both do CO USPSA and always flexing at each other with our hardware haha. Our other friends we squad regularly all rock Legions, making me the sole CZ user. They love consistent striker fire trigger, I'm a sucker for DA/SA. The sport we play in, from the guns to the stage runs, this is art.
@@robertbiermann4666 Agreed. The stock aluminum grips are pretty, but too slippery. I don't use the palm swells, as my hands are not large -- whatever fits your hands best.
The 229 Legion is an awesome firearm. Of course the 226 Legion in 9mm, .40, and 357 SIG are also really nice. And the 238 Legion with a TLR-6 is pretty nice too (don’t ask me how I know 🤣😅).
Guess I need to wait for the second video. Shot both (in the case of the SIG - it's a P320 X-Five Legion) for a for-fun friends match and that made me lean towards the SIG P320... and this is coming from someone who competes with a CZ plastic service pistol. I was able to hit a Philippine lemon (about dime-sized) from about 15-ish yards with the P320, it's just comfortable to shoot thanks to the ergos. Aftermarket accessories are saturated with the CZ so that makes it quite hard to decide should I graduate from my CZ P09. Great video! Long time subscriber, I go to your channel whenever I wanna find tips and stuff and general gear review.
CZ Shadow 2 hands down for me (I don't have any experience with the OR version though). The ergonomics fit my hands better, the trigger is much better, I can get back on target sooner on follow up shots, and I'm just more accurate with it.
I've had the Shadow 2 for 5 years now. When I bought it they cost $1000 USD. It's absolutely my favorite handgun. I put Lockgrips on it. Those aluminum grips get hot in the sun.
i personally shoot a Shadow 2 Orange and the wife competes with a Sig Legion. I am a newer competition shooter just started last year. Currently still working out gear and trim to get it just right but will need to check out some of those dry fire mags. Both are great guns for some reason the Sig to me just shoots a little high which i was surprised as i normally carry a Sig in my day to day. great content thank you for all you put out i have learned allot watching your videos
It took a lot of work to my p320 to get to shooting as smooth and feel as nice as my shadow. I ended up with a compact slide, full size grip, a giant comp on the front to make that thing shoot like my Shadow. Having said that, I would put my 320 over my shadow every day of the week.
I FINALLY was able to buy a Shadow 2 OR (CZ Custom email in stock alert), so maybe I can actually find a USPSA club to join and begin to embarrass myself and get the newb DQ. Looks like fun! Always great to see your videos! Thanks for the vid and good luck to you on the 100,000 subs.
Good stuff. I recently picked up a Shadow 2 OR. It absolutely is crazy that it doesn't come with plates and yep, the mounting screws *are* pretty short. Working on getting it set up and just getting used to it. I'm really not feeling a need to tweak much. I haven't even felt the need to polish the internals yet, something I've done with all my other CZs. I put Lok brass grips on it to try, which help the balance (I unexpectedly like them more than I would have thought) and a lighter trigger spiring. I'm also trying an Eemann Tech gas pedal just for kicks. I have a thin slide stop/release coming as well - gotta love choices. Also an extended safety so I have a thumb rest for my shooting hand (I have one on my P01 Steel Frame and really like it). I love my tweaked and optics sporting SP01 and P01 Steel Frame but also love my PPQ Q5 SF OR. I need to spend a lot more time with the S2 to figure out if I'll love it or just like it. I shoot precision, steel plate and IDPA inspired stuff locally for fun. I'm really curious which gun out of my collection will be the one I grab the most. Thanks for your reviews. You need more subs. You're one of, if not *the*, best level headed informative handgun reviewers out there.
Couple things….My experience shooting both of these guns in competition ( production, not C/O)…hundredths add up to tenths….2 tenths in a 20rd course of fire can matter. The grips on these two is where the big difference is for me. The sig moves around more in my hands and for my particular set of hands the CZ just locks into my grip much better ( I know super cliche’ but I swear it’s true). I know ergos are completely dependent on each shooter…..both guns are awesome….saying one is better than the other is going to be extremely difficult so can’t wait to see where you land ( although anyone who watches the channel can probably already guess ;).
What happened to your video comparing P320 AXG PRO and Legion X5 with different combinations? AXG vs TXG , tungsten vs steel guide rod last G10 brass grips, etc. Unless I am mistaken. Did RUclips shut this video down?
I'm not a competitor & my Accu Shadow, SAO Pre-Shadow II, is not only my hi end range toy, it's my go to bedside home defense pistol. I don't think I'm alone. This works great for me because my carry pistol is a P07 & the desk side pisto us an imported P01
I love my Shadow 2 and my TSO, after shooting these firearms I will never buy another manufacturer's pistol. I can do beautiful things with these firearms and missing a 3" circle at 25 yards is almost impossible, unless you close your eyes
I have a shadow 2, and have shot the 320 legion with red dot . Maybe not a fair comparison cause mine came with the CGW pro kit trigger . Also adde Lok palmswell grips . I’ve never enjoyed a pistol like a S2. I don’t think an Sig could be modified to come close imo . I have shot stock out of the box S2s and they shoot much better for me than the Sig . Another thing about the CZ, is the red dot sits closer to the bore axis than the sig . That makes acquisition easier for me . Overall , I think you did a fair and balanced review . My Sig friends don’t get me with the s2, my s2 buddies don’t get the Sig guy preference . It’s hard to be objective with these pistols . Seems like it’s a love hate thing . Nice job .
I personally shoot the CZ shadow 2 OR , Full Cajun Gun Works, Thin Lok Grips, Trijicon SRO 5.0MOA. We have not got the MAX in our country , closest is the x5 Legion, which is an incredible awesome gun to shoot but unfortunately it's not IPSC legal.
@@Logan-mr4xg The Sig isn’t really a useful modular gun, and it’s junk. It’s a niche gun in terms of its “modularity”. It gives no real advantage IMO. Adjustable back straps that come with the gun is real modularity. As to the CZ, it isn’t just a great comp gun. They’re real world combat pistols by original design and intent, and they beat anything Sig produces today.
@@oleboy7615 humbly, I totally disagree. I have one sig fcu and I run it as a compact carry gun aiwb. I run it as a full size to tech new shooters with. And I run it as a carry size with flush fit comp as a range hammer. That's dishonest saying it isn't modular. Is it perfect? Of course not! But don't be blinded by your love of cz. The sig offers ALOT of value to someone who wants to own have multiple choices with minimal funds invested

Henning/grams for 23 rounds in the CZ but I'm sure you know that already. Primary Machine is doing Shadow optic cuts again. Regular Shadow 2 with direct mill deep SRO cut is the hot set up.
I just sent in my second slide to Primary to mill/fit my Holosun optic. I already have my first/other S2 fitted from Cajun. I was a bit confused about the mounting plate since neither of mine use a mounting plate. Getting older and eyes are not as fluid as they used to be. Love Production but hard to see sights and targets now. The Sig is very nice, but I have shot CZs 1s and now 2s for several years and am a fanboy. I have 5😀 Looking forward to shooting CO this season.
I thought I liked the factory grips on my standard S2 because I didn't like the palm swell bogies I bought. I just realized that they make them specifically for the S2 and I bought the CZ 75 ones.
Sooo. Should I get a p320 max or a staccato? Will be running a red dot on it. Love my cz’s and I am not slide cutting them for a dot. I run them in 3 gun tac ops division. This new gun will be for USPSA pistol matches and steel matches.
I've never handled a p320 but I have a new Staccato P with a DPP dot and 2-1/2 pound trigger plus a lot of tuned and dotted CZs . Most comparable are a highly tuned SP01 cut with an SRO and a newish Shadow 2 OR with a Holosun 507c Vulcan reticle. Between the CZs and Staccato, so far I prefer the CZs. Do the CZs have the 1911 trigger? Nope. But for me they have the ergonomics. I shoot them about the same tho. The CZs just feel better to me.
Yep. Advice is don't. lol. It's expensive. If you don't want that advice, then you need to decide WHICH competition you want to do in the FUTURE. It's not necessarily how you will start. Find a place with some steel, see how well you can make it ring. Get a shot timer, see where you're at with your current setup.
My CZ shadow 2 Orange is good as my Staciddo ,It has a barrel Bushing Polished Barrel great Fit .The Checkmate & Parrot do not come with a Polished Barrel that is so wrong for all that Money .2011 is my favorite.

I'm a CZ fan so for me it's a easy pick. Hopefully CZ will start adding plates to use for different dots for the money they certainly should. Again if people start informing these companies of things to make their firearms better and easier to use for everyone they will do the right thing?. However glock hasn't so anyone's guess.

I just got my wife the P320 X5 legion. It’s still sitting in the box. I recently got a P226 legion and it shoots great. I love that pistol. I’m very hopeful for the 320. I want a CZ soon to compare but until then thank you for the information.

Armory craft makes an increased power reset spring for the p320. Ads about .75 to the trigger weight but is supposed to improve the reset and make the trigger crisper
I'm left handed and I've never swapped the mag release. When you've shot Glocks for years you get use to it. Actually lefties have an advantage shooting Glocks.

I replaced the stock CZ Shadow 2 panels with grip panels from LOK. I also added a spring kit. It's an awesome gun. I haven't shot a P320.
Have lok boggie palm swells on my shadow2. Stock aluminums are slippery in competition.

My 2 favorite manufacturers. I have the Shadow 2 and have about 5 Sigs. The Sig P229 Legion is my favorite of all my guns!

I also competed with a P09 and found once I cajunized it I wasn't desiring to upgrade

I have both and have a hard time picking between the two. Trigger work on the Legion makes them a lot closer.

There really is no comparison: the CZ is a better gun.
Cz is the better gun for competition I agree. But for someone who wants multi purpose in their life. The cz doesn't compete with the sig modularity

Dang, I might have gone that route if I had know PM was doing individual slides again. They cut and cerakoted my P10c. Very nice and quick work.

Loads of it - I have tons of videos. IDPA or Steel Challenge is a good place to start. USPSA is great just takes a bit more investment
