On earlier various Ford cars, I 🤔 think it was called the "Constant control module" I think..and mounted somewhere around or on the electric fan assembly . It too, was the "missing link" in diagnoses, even on older Fords, with A/C loss, especially after you confirmed all of the fuses were "good" and there was no compressor clutch 12 vcd signal.. Great video, keep at it brother 😉!!!!!
What is your radiator fan on when the compressor clutch was going on and off like that? I’m having the same issue I’m trying to see if my radiator fan needs to be replaced as well
When you turn on your AC in your vehicle your fan automatic turns on even if the car just turn on but if you turn on your AC and your compressor doesn’t kick on you don’t have a bad AC compressor is the AC relay switch that I’m talking bout in the video but if your AC compressor clutch engages cuts on cuts off it’s just running low on Freon so you have to recharge it and when you go to recharge it make sure you have your AC on high when recharging The system thank you for the comment can you subscribe and likeif thats cool
My A/C compressor is doing the same thing as yours in this video the only difference is that my fan isn’t coming on at all.. (is why I asked if your fan was working when you was showing us in the video.. So my compressor is doing the same as yours (on and off) and the radiator fan isn’t turning on, could the problem still be the same module your talkin about in this video? - thanks for the reply
If everything is working it could be your coolant temperature sensor I don’t know what year your Mustang is but i know my coolant temperature sensor is in the back of the motor that will be your your problem if your fuses not blown in your car up on your dashboard and fuses that’s up under your hood and you welcome fam i will be making a ig so my subscribe can hit me up on from time to time and good luck
Funny this video pops up when I'm currently working on it. I tried to charge it with freon, checked the fuses. I thought that my compressor was full of sand because we have severe sand storms where I live. So I'm tapping the compressor, and I see that box. Mine is hidden like that, I took mine out. I tapped it, just messing around. And then rhe clutch kicked in... this video confirms the problem...
Thanks for the How To video. I did what you said. Went to the junk yard and all the relays were gone. Finally ordered a used one off of Ebay, put it on and the clutch kicked right in on my 2004 Mustang. You the Man!
My car would overheat at times then I’d turnoff ac it’d cool down till one day it blew only hot air. I replaced Freon then a new compressor and still didn’t work. I saw this video took this part off my donor Mustang switched it to mine and boom AC works perfectly and no overheating. Thx man it’s 98 degrees I was about to have a heat stroke.
@@Familyofjackz I have a question my gas hand hasn’t been working but when I put some gas in it the hand worked for a while then stopped again any clue what it could be ? it’s a new fuel pump so I’m not sure why it’s not working
@camillechilds605 did you get the whole fuel pump housing or you just replace the fuel pump itself because the float on the fuel pump housing could be going bad
Trust me it will fix it it took me like three months to find out why my car AC wasn’t working I check all the fuses I checked all the wires man I did everything but forgot that it had a master relay in that box also your fuel pump relay is inside the box as well when you get the new part you going to be like family of the jackz that guy lol can you subscribe to my RUclips channel if thats cool and welcome to the family
@@Familyofjackzcan't confirm 100% yet but the AC was working intermittently, then it got to the point where it wouldn't kick on at all. I put the module on and it started blowing cold again I just hope it stays working
2000 V6 mustang. AC is the coldest then just gets hot, then works fine for days then off and on again in like a 30 min drive. Then nothing… no perfect pattern. R-134a full, no fuse blown. Coldest AC ever, then nothing, then back on. Anyone have an idea?
It does if I jump it then plug it back in on the pressure switch and it will work without the jumper but it stays on doesn’t cycle. Also the clutch makes a knocking noise and when I got under it there was a grayish black liquid on the bottom of the compressor
Yes, it did. Trust me. I was going crazy trying to figure out why my AC is not working in my vehicle. I’ll check every fuse every wire everything came out good but it was one thing I didn’t check and that was the main AC relay as shown in the video, it sits up on your passenger side fender. Also has a fuel pump relay inside that little box as well but you got to buy the whole box. You can’t just buy a relay For it you can go on Amazon and order the box
Thanks you for making this video! I replaced mine today in my mustang, and my AC is back working blowing cold again!! What a blessing!!
