I usually keep 2 packs ready in fishing season. I got a large military style rock sack, which is my everything fishing bag, I can't even tell what's in there lol, it's basically ready for any fishing, including the ocean! Then I have a small backpack I carry at all times in my car. It has a bit of this and that, but I load it specifically to whatever I'm going for. As of now loaded for trout and the loadout is very similar to yours! I also keep 2 rods ready in my car, depending what fish. Currently an ultralight set for float fishing (or spinner) and a heavier rod a medium 7' for "all of the above" fish I can think of lol! 25yrs old rod, still pulling fish out, that's my go-to rod, I can even trout fish with it if I forget the ultralight. That rod is so grown to me, its one of those I could only give up "from my cold dead hands"lol!
Thank you for the video. You just confirmed to me that I’ve made good purchasing decisions 😂 My first time fishing was a couple of weeks back and I’m hooked. Our lake has these huge rainbow trout jumping like crazy in the evening and I’m determined to catch one. Been buying all sorts of tackle, lures (namely Rapalas, Kastmasters, and Panther Martins in different sizes), a few flies for the fun of it, even a dodger and flasher “in case” I go trolling one day. Major difference is I haven’t accumulated enough stuff (yet) to outgrow my one tackle box.
Personally i was using this style of bag to hold all my trout stuff. I had it get stolen so I had to buy new boxes and could figure out what to carry them in. So I bought a cheap camo backpack in the outdoor section. Between the two styles I feel using a simple backpack works better. You can carry just as much but the difference comes in how much you walk, carry or just want it simple. It frees up a arm, less stress on the shoulder that is carrying the bag. A great thing the boat bags usually have a water protective coating. I really like how you put the jars in a bag I am going to steal that idea.
the bag looks awesome, I have a fox tactical back pack my self, I use this as a trout fishing backpack. it makes every a lot easier then an actual tackle box dose + i could fit a lot of fishing stuff in there. I use a lots of yo-zuri pin minnows 2inch---1 1/16oz.floating
The first thing I would do is organize your box better have your Bobbers all in one container have all your Spinners in one container have all your spoons and one container have your weights and swivels in one container be organized then once you did that I would add Pautzke Balls of Fire the regular and their shrimp and their garlic sense salmon eggs and Pautzke Fire bait
You need to sort and separate your tackle boxes, but the things I noticed you are missing: Better flies , flashlight or headlamp or both, single egg hooks, small Super Dupers, ultralight lures, leader material, sunblock, skeeter juice, toilet paper, and i like to stash a water bottle and those little bags of peanuts to snack on.
Lets see Ya fly fishing for an after work challenge? I am looking to use a center pin reel for steelhead. The video for cooking the stocker trout was awesome.
one thing I always carry in my bag is a back up spinning reel like a ceymar 10. SO many things can leave a reel useless that for the weight and space a little c-10 is perfect. i also carry a trash bag to collect garbage and it keeps my bag cleaner and uncluttered.
The only thing I see missing are some wedding rings. I’ve thrown a Bullet weight on top of the swivel to 36 inch leader line to a wedding ring tipped with Power bait. Very low snags because the hook is covered. And if you let it sink down to the bottom before you retrieve, becomes very deadly.
You forgot the kitchen sink!! Thanks boys I’m new to your channel. I’m really impressed with the way you articulate with passion your overall knowledge of fishing. Keep it simple stupid! I can tell you both enjoy fishing as much as my boys and I do. “ “Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” Henry David Thoreau
Anyone use burlap creel bags? That’s what I’ve been using since I was a kid. Shoulder strap bag with a pouch for tackle and a waterproof pouch that when you get it wet it keeps the fish cold while your hiking the river.
That is a nice versatile setup. Seems like you are ready for any situation. I came across this when searching my own Trout Bag video hahaha 😂. I like to use a smaller fanny-pack setup for trout. I carry my hardbaits and soft plastics along with other goodies.
Lucky yous here in Scotland we aren't allowed to go fishing at all because of this covid 19 hopefully it ends soon so we can get back out. Keep safe troops
Well marlin the only thing i didnt see is a little bottle of joy dishsoap and lighter leader material but otherwise for rainbow trout you got it all! Tignt lines The Bullship
20 hooks ,100 split shots, 10 berrel swivels ..2 cups of eggs tied up. that fits in my vest.. the best part is when I hold the fish by there face in the sun then hug them hard and put them back dry...
Never used a bag for trout, always a vest. Got so full I could not zip it up. If I could I would look like the Stay Puff Marshmallow man from all the stuff in it. Tons of fly boxes even though I only really used less than a dozen patterns.
Yo marlin you need to pick up some Lucky Craft Sp 78 crank bait. The Ghost Minnow is money almost anywhere in the fall for Trout. Most people are into Rapala but I catch way more fish with Lucky Craft, they are expensive, but so effective!
I like a fanny pack too. I picked up a pretty nice one from Walmart for 10 bucks. Even has cup holders I can use as dump pockets for gloves or whatever.
You need some serious organization! 🤣 I have probably spent far too much money on fishing gear but I like a variety of different sizes and colors of my lures. . Also, the size of my lures are organized for what species of fish I am fishing for so I don't need to bring my trout sized lures if I am fishing for a bass or salmon. I also have seperate fishing bags depending on the species so I know I have the right gear and not bringing what I don't need. I have a boxes dedicated to each type of lure and labeled so I know exactly what I am looking for. Same type of organization for terminal tackle.
I was hoping it would be a small bag, I have one thats just smaller than that one, and it gets super heavy and annoying to carry after a while, I thinking of getting a simms or patagonia fly chest bag for ultralight carrying. With a couple of large bug tacky boxes for lures and jigs. has anyone done this?
Hey Marlin, how about a net? Not really for "in the bag", but can put one on the bag. Will use the maggot on a spinner tip for sure. Thank you. Why do you and Jordan like Gerber scissors so much? They have been recommended a lot by your channel.
I wouldn't even call that a fishing bag sure it's big but this looks like a little duffel bag. there's so many bags out there that have plier holders and multiple bags and pouches on the outside and the inside... Not just one big hole to toss everything in
If I were u, I would personally add maby two more different lines maby like a 10 and 20 pound test or maby another braided just to make sure if your fishing for bigger salmon, u are ready
The thing no one asked for! The "random" count: Marlin said the word random 22 times in this video, this including one use of the elusive "rando". That's 1.6 random(s) per minute! Morale of the story, the contents of the bag was very...random. :) Hope these bags come back into stock soon, I need one!
I have spent months trying every gulp and powerbait/rubber bait there is with zero luck. Went threw an entire 8$ jar of powerbait. I truly feel like they are gimmicks and it's best to save your money and avoid all of that stuff
This is an old comment so I hope you've figured it out ... but leader length is key and then color of bait... and gotta use them where there are actually fish.
I love your videos but this seems like you sent someone to fill a bag with new stuff, I would have appreciated seeing a bag with some well used tackle that you actually have used.
What gear am I missing?! 🤷♂️
Addicted Fishing some trout!
hair jigs with maggots
Bass tubes for big trout!!! Try them they work awesome
Worm threader?
Keep it up man",and your missing chest waiters
The only other thing your trout bag needs that I see, is organization 😊
Lisa Couture 🤣 Exactly
not even that unorganized but ok.
Went to like this comment, and realized I liked it a year ago lol

I switched to a chest pack. Makes me really decide on what to take instead of everything I own like I used to do. Works for trout and steelhead !

I've caught some nice cutts and bows on 1 and 2.5 inch gulp minnows. Also size 2 purple vibrax. Best lure out there

A loaded bag giveaway would be sweet! I'd buy a raffle ticket for one.
Looks like a great trout bag, Gonna have to get me one of those Mustad bags. Looks like you got everything you need
Thank you for these videos during these hard times here in Washington, we all appreciate it!!! 🎣💯

GREAT PRODUCT!! That’s my go to boat bag. Holds all my daily needs then some.
Lets see Ya fly fishing for an after work challenge?
I am looking to use a center pin reel for steelhead.
The video for cooking the stocker trout was awesome.
Is that a hockey bag? You could put your pickup in that. Huge!
Love your videos! I have never written so many helpful notes!! Could you guys do a video of the basic setup for fly fishing 😊
Love it steelhead and salmon bag for sure
one thing I always carry in my bag is a back up spinning reel like a ceymar 10. SO many things can leave a reel useless that for the weight and space a little c-10 is perfect. i also carry a trash bag to collect garbage and it keeps my bag cleaner and uncluttered.
You are missing a first aid kit my friend!
Grew up fishing that river since a kid bro, good stuff👌🏻
Pretty close to everything I have for trout ! Kayak season let’s go!

You might want to add some different size beads. A spare reel. Split shot weights. Two to four lb leader. Small first aid kit. And maybe some gloves.
Anyone use burlap creel bags? That’s what I’ve been using since I was a kid. Shoulder strap bag with a pouch for tackle and a waterproof pouch that when you get it wet it keeps the fish cold while your hiking the river.
Great vid thanks for the information

Lucky yous here in Scotland we aren't allowed to go fishing at all because of this covid 19 hopefully it ends soon so we can get back out. Keep safe troops
Small sized panther Martin's are a must have
I'd like to see you guys do $100 challenge at Walmart or someplace like that and try catching some fish with the cheaper gear that you guys buy there
You need some small (size 14-18) treble hooks and some beads!
Nice Trout set up. I have a similar one. Thanks for ideas.
Every time marlin says shaun it’s like he is talking to me personally 😆
Great flipping channel. Thanks gentlemen. I subbed.
More gear bag video’s 🤘🏽
Well marlin the only thing i didnt see is a little bottle of joy dishsoap and lighter leader material but otherwise for rainbow trout you got it all! Tignt lines The Bullship

Nice vid! I also just did a vid similar to this describing my tackle box.
Rippin Jibs nice vid, just subbed
Shoot. Me too I was looking how other people do it too.
If trout love garlic, would tipping your lure with a piece of garlic work? I assume it would for catfish
Never used a bag for trout, always a vest. Got so full I could not zip it up. If I could I would look like the Stay Puff Marshmallow man from all the stuff in it. Tons of fly boxes even though I only really used less than a dozen patterns.
I swear the bottom of the bag had a hole in it and the bag was sitting on top of a hole in the ground 😂. Great video as usual keep it up 👊🐟🐟
How often do you throw the countdowns out in rivers??
My favorite id the Countdown 1. I swap the treble for a single barbless hook. Trout love them.
@@HobieWanKenobi right on. my favorite is a cd-7 rainbow. you'd be surprised how good they work if you haven't used them in solid sized rivers/holes
Spare spools for reels loaded with 2,4,6lb line, clear, hi viz
Thanks
Great videp
Yes thank you for the info
Great vid you guys should do a give away of this bag
Yo marlin you need to pick up some Lucky Craft Sp 78 crank bait. The Ghost Minnow is money almost anywhere in the fall for Trout. Most people are into Rapala but I catch way more fish with Lucky Craft, they are expensive, but so effective!
Are you talking about the LC 78sp Pointers?
Do you catch the big rainbows on the Ghost Minnow color?
Ive nerver used corkys.any info you can share would be awsome.
I use a small fanny pack and have everything I need for 50 fish days on my trout stream and I don't have to carry anything. Lol
I like a fanny pack too. I picked up a pretty nice one from Walmart for 10 bucks. Even has cup holders I can use as dump pockets for gloves or whatever.
and on another note you and shawn ever go bass fishing ?? there no vids on bass fishing on your youtube channel ?
No link for Davids weights?
your name davestanglefree.com
Hey is there anyway I can get my hands on the some addicted swag? I tried looking for the ball cap and hoodie and couldn't find them for sale.

Maybe add a mepps original red and white spinner🔥🔥🤙👍
I was hoping it would be a small bag, I have one thats just smaller than that one, and it gets super heavy and annoying to carry after a while, I thinking of getting a simms or patagonia fly chest bag for ultralight carrying. With a couple of large bug tacky boxes for lures and jigs. has anyone done this?
Add a few Pistol Pete's in assorted colors. Fish under your water bubble. Fun way to catch trout!
Haha!! 🤣🎣🎣🤣. You smelled the mellows!!!!!
Where do you get your tackle boxes from?
Hey Marlin, how about a net? Not really for "in the bag", but can put one on the bag.
Will use the maggot on a spinner tip for sure. Thank you.
Why do you and Jordan like Gerber scissors so much? They have been recommended a lot by your channel.
Where can I get some of those addicted floats?
Roger Denton Sold out right now, but be back soon! www.addicted.fishing
You need some dynamite and a spot light 🤣
I didn't see a small wiggle wart or a Shasta tackle crippler. A measuring tape or a scale. Otherwise looks like what I have in my bag.
you needed more spitshots and little sinkers if you fish in creeks like me
Is that the 18" bag?
Genaro Ramos Ya 18” bag
"Deadly for trout".... all unopened 😂
Cool
Some shrimp smelly jelly!!
You are missing the kitchen sink😇😇😇😇😇
Go prepared.. a WARN winch statement.
Great vid as always.
Never go fishing without a hook file.
Marlin is that the 18” bag or 24” bag?
He said 18 in another comment
18”
I would lose my mind not having everything organized and inventoried 😊
Is that the 18" mustad bag?
what size is the baf
Corn powerbait
I wouldn't even call that a fishing bag sure it's big but this looks like a little duffel bag. there's so many bags out there that have plier holders and multiple bags and pouches on the outside and the inside... Not just one big hole to toss everything in
If I were u, I would personally add maby two more different lines maby like a 10 and 20 pound test or maby another braided just to make sure if your fishing for bigger salmon, u are ready
Missing...beer and oreos!
Wooly buggers and a vest so everything is at your fingers instead of a suit case!
Where are the marshmallows that you made? Do you guys have a demo video of how to use the marshmallows you showed us how to make?
2.5 inch berkley gulp minnows and I think if it’s any more organized than that ur not spending enough time fishing
Get some trout magnet cranks thise things are what I caught my BP on
Keep on edumacatin' me
The thing no one asked for!
The "random" count: Marlin said the word random 22 times in this video, this including one use of the elusive "rando". That's 1.6 random(s) per minute!
Morale of the story, the contents of the bag was very...random. :) Hope these bags come back into stock soon, I need one!

-It’s all pretty mutch random🤣
Died watching this. My OCD... lol
"Ultimate" lol. Nice.
Everything but the kitchen sink lol
Beer? Sunflower seeds?
Welp. Closed all fishing for TWO weeks. I'm angry.
Same, and it could be extended...........
Love fishing .. so addicted .. stay fishy guys
Toilet paper, garbage bag, sun screen, insect repellent, mosquito net, extra hat, hand sanitizer, small first aid kit
You might get mugged telling people you are carrying toilet paper.
Some More Topwater Lures Like Small Poppers
Fillet away fish mat and zip lock.
I have spent months trying every gulp and powerbait/rubber bait there is with zero luck. Went threw an entire 8$ jar of powerbait. I truly feel like they are gimmicks and it's best to save your money and avoid all of that stuff

you asked what was missing in your trout bag? a telescopic pole.
I love your videos but this seems like you sent someone to fill a bag with new stuff, I would have appreciated seeing a bag with some well used tackle that you actually have used.
Where are the SUPER DUPERS? Everyone needs various sizes of SUPER DUPERS!
Joe's flies
