People will always call out the fuel subsidy. But it is not the fuel subsidy but the organised crime around it and how people are taking advantage.. The ministries in Nigeria do not work. Anything that the minister says cannot be taken serious because God knows how much corrupt practices happen at the very bottom. Lord have mercy on us.

Jude, I highly recommend expanding your Nigerian investigative journalism videos to cover all African countries. By doing so, you will witness an exponential growth in your audience and reach. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in helping Africans gain a better understanding of the affairs across the entire continent. This expanded coverage will foster unity, expose corruption, promote accountability, empower citizens, encourage cross-border collaboration, and contribute to positive change throughout Africa. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to make a significant impact.

@@realjudebela Very good... What's the use of our refineries? The move to remove fuel subsidy should not be announced now until everything has been put in place to make the petroleum products available in abundance to Nigerians for like one to two months then the fuel subsidy will be removed even without any announcement. Because announcing good intentions and things like this gives our enemies as a nation the information on how to attack us. He shouldn't have announced it at all... If he's depending on the dangote refinery by announcing removal of fuel subsidy, the dangote refinery is an independent and private refinery which was built for profit making only. And he may even easily dance to the tunes of the enemies of Nigeria... So building and or repairing our refineries is the only way out of all these nonsense and this can only be achieved if we are not practicing democracy or if a President can rule like Russian federation and China

He did a good job but still left out the reasons why the amount of consumption is always as it is.
Oil theft and diversion of fuel to neighbouring countries. That is where the answer lies. The downstream are not saints and take our subsidized petrol to Ghana, Niger, Benin, Chad and Cameroon. Anybody that is in doubt should find any random tanker driver and ask them how this is done.
Our security forces also aid in that because they are settled.

First who would in their right senses export a raw material only to go ahead and import the finished product? Only the Nigerian government.
Finished products are always more expensive than raw materials. What if those hilarious amount spent on subsidizing petrol was put into restoring our refineries?
Considering the cost of the just completed Dangote refinery we would have more than the number of refineries we currently do.
But of course if it enriches a select few then we should go ahead with it even if it's totally beyond comprehension and logical reason.

But is it that the four Refineries we have got bad beyond repair? Because I don't understand why an oil producing country wouldn't want to take every possible means to refine their own oil. It's same as saying a pastor don't want to own a Bible or a fisherman don't want to get a net
