    Curous question for you. How do you determine when to use a softbox vs when to use the Magmod XL MagsPhere?

    Probably would be better to zoom or get closer to get the model fill the frame. Then check by histogram if there is no lost details in shadow. The add light withou blowing out. Will it allow to make postprocessing with curves possible for any type of look later? If we have more defined look and shadows?

    In this scene, why aren’t you using shutter speed instead of iso to determine your fill? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

    So on her right side of her face was dark but the final image it wasn’t did you use a reflector or is that editing?

    • @Synplex
      @Synplex 2 месяца назад +1

      Probably slightly edited. I'm sorry to say but I doubt any of these RUclips photographers are sharing photos raw right on the camera even when they say they are. They're all being touched up in Photoshop or Lightroom to exaggerate the effects of the tutorial they are pushing.

      It's done by setting the exposure for the ambient light first. Essentially you take an image with no flash, setting the exposure for what you want the shadow level to be. Without changing camera settings, you add the main light and adjust power of the main light to get the look you want
