I'm happy to be a resident of Island Bay. With a residential population of approximately 8,000 people, Island Bay has a lot to offer for pet lovers and nature lovers. With a nice community. Enjoy a trip to the beach, without having to leave your neighbourhood. The cinema, supermarket, two schools, post shop, pharmacy, cafes, and parks. Or a refreshing walk on the west side of The Parade, which is lined with giant oak trees. With a bus service operated by Tranzurban and Metlink. Island Bay is located 7km south of the city, and is a suburb located on the southern urban fringe of Wellington, with views over Cook Strait.
