I love this. Just want to mention that when you say 243 for your longer stripes, you mean 242. if you chain 1 and start in the second chain from the hook, you get 242 stitches. Also, 104 blue stitches plus 138 stripe stitches equals 242 stitches. Great pattern and great tutorial! Thank you@

Very nice tutorial. Very easy to understand, thank you for sharing. I've been looking for a USA flag for awhile and this looks like something I can do. ❤❤🤍🤍💙💙
While I absolutely love this blanket and appreciate you showing us how to make it, I found the stars were a little too big. Not sure if anyone else had this problem. Anyway, I modified the star by using a magic circle to start, to close up the middle gap, and used 10 half double instead of the 15 double. Then I eliminated the triple on the start points. Also, when doing the start tips, if you also hook the back loop on the chain for the single crochet, it makes the points a little pointier. Found that out by accident 😂

Hi Jackie, I just finished the flag I made for my Army vet son. I remember you said that you put the top row of six stars and then the bottom row. I was wonder ing how you got the spacing right. I want this to turn out right. It took me two and a half weeks to finish the flag and I already have the stars made. Your video is so great. It is easy to follow.

I've had a lot of people ask questions about sewing the stars on. So I've decided to do a short tutorial on just sewing the stars on. I'm planning on doing it tomorrow. I'll let you know when it's uploaded. 😊
I finally finished my flag. The flag only took two weeks . I got sidetracked with back problems so, I only finished sewing on the star a few days ago. I want to post a picture but don’t know how.

Do you habe an idea of how translate this into a pillow case? I bought a thin blue line crochet flag pillow case pattern but it is so complicated & hard to understand. The writer of the pattern isn't replying to me on anything & i am so lost. The pillow is supposed to be 12"×16" I'm just not sure how to really scale yours down. Starting to watch your video now so maybe I'll get an idea! :)
My 1st flag I attached them by weaving the yarn. My 2nd flag I used regular sewing thread and it did a lot better. I just picked up the very top of the yarn and it didn't show through the back.

It gives it a raised textured look and feel and also makes it thicker so there are no gaps between the stiches. If you'd rather do all double I see no reason why you couldn't.

If you was to use blanket fuzzy yarn would you double the yarn amount.
