    I know absolutely nothing about the technical stuff of wood turning but I know I enjoy watching logs, stumps and other various pieces of wood being turned into something amazing and beautiful by someone who truly loves what they do!     Lots of grinding, wood turning, sanding and varnishing was complete in the making of this pristine looking vase. Wow. I’m blown away :D.

    Yes, cool grain. I love the occasional diagonal going through the horizontal. Lots of planning for this piece, Andy and the results are spectacular!

    You're right to say that black palm has the coolest grain, it almost looks like animal print. Very handsome indeed, and I love it that you never stain any of your pieces.

    I'm a native Arizonan, so we have palm wood EVERYWHERE. I have always wondered what palm tree wood working would look like. The striations in the grain are gorgeous. I need one now. 😄

    I have an off-cut of black palm in my shed and I've been nervous to use it as the fibres looked like they'd fall apart to me. You've encouraged me to give it a go in my next project!!

    Absolutely beautiful! I love your work! The shapes you create are so wonderful. The 'surprise inside' and the 'cool conker' are my absolute favorite of all the woodturning I have watched. And I've watched a ton because I'm addicted. But your pieces are without a doubt the best!
    And, the Yew root! How could I forget the Yew root? Not only us the shape awesome but the wood is spectacular! I think I've watched that one at least 4 times, just can't get enough of it. Yes, you are definitely my favorite!
