Very nice review. The eGV70 still isn't out here in the US but I have zero regrets buying an ICE GTV70 3.5TT Sport Prestige last November. Honestly I do not care for the GV60, only Genesis I don't think is beautiful. Enjoyed your review...............
Both truly are great cars. It's just there will always be a spot for ICE for me. 3.5TT truly is an amazing engine + gives that fun to drive aspect to GV70 being called sporty SUV of the family. I see your point on GV60.

I'd love to include those measures too, just so much things you can do filming everything by oneself 😢 It is super quiet, definitely suiting and titled to be a luxurious vehicle.
I genuinely don’t get the point of a boost button, if you put. The car in sports mode you should get all the power all the time not push a button to unlock, the way I look at it is engineers just didn’t take the time to correctly map the throttle response
I usually have very limited time with cars, I couldn't capture the real world range. Most Hyundai Motor Group EVs perform slightly more than the announced and this eGV70 is no exception, confirmed by many.
Nice SUV but I wish Genesis transferred the Face ID and Fingerprint scanner from the GV60 to the GV70 too. And also, I wish the batteries can recharge from 0% to 100% in 5 minutes, that would be very convenient too, I hope Genesis improves the batteries on the EVs. And also, I wish the entertainment system was like a home theater system with Dolby Atmos and a 4K screen and watch movies like Tesla.
For sure. My test drives are usually short due to time constraint and tend to yield very low kWh or mpg. The official kWh is 4.6km/kWh(19" wheels) from Genesis.
@@CarSceneKorea Well, shoot!! The Cadillac Lyric, the Subaru Solterra and the Toyota Bz4x are all going to have it. I don't understand why Genesis doesn't consider this a "must" in a luxury, high tech car in 2022. What's the point of a wireless charger if you have to plug your phone in to connect it to the infotainment system? Sorry- just venting.
Hyundai, kia and Genesis are all effectively the same company. Genesis is definitely a level above in materials, build quality but the gap has been reduced recently.
Hey, thanks for the review. Can you mention something about the time taken to charge (under home charging and fast chargers etc) and the range (miles in city and highway conditions) that the vehicle does in full charge please??

Are these Genesis SUVs durable , robust, safe and tough to buy and own? Please do talk about reliability as it is not related to durability and toughness but dependability .
Thank you for this great video about the Genesis eGV70. A great car although not based on a pure electric platform. Where do you see the advantages and disadvantages of the GV60 compared to the eGV70 in direct comparison? Which offers the more pleasant driving behavior and the better interior acoustics? Which one offers better workmanship and higher-quality materials? Does Genesis now have optimized charging route planning, which also optimizes charging stops and includes them in the travel time? What realistic ranges are possible with these two models in everyday life? Which of the two models would you choose and why? Do you produce at most a direct comparison video? Thank you for your always great videos and your extremely easy to understand English - absolutely great and keep it up. Greatings from Switzerland Roger 👍😎💯🇨🇭
Hey Roger, I prefer the eGV70 over the 60. a) Ext styling b) Int styling & layout c) Sunroof that opens d) Looks exactly the same as eGV70 with buttons for common used features. e) Driver side massage feature Have not driven the GV60 yet but the LUXURY, QUIETNESS & power of GV70 is right up there (and better) than the Japanese & Germans. I have put a deposit down on an eGV70. I'm in Vancouver Canada and can have a Phase 2 charger installed at my residence for about $2,500. I've never owned a Korean manufactured vehicle before BUT I'm totally blown away with the G70, G80 & both SUV's. My Genesis dealer is just 7 kms away. There are NOT many dealerships in USA and that is causing many potential buyers to look at other manufacturers. I've heard that the customer service of Genesis dealers is no where near the standard of the Germans. a new GV 70 3.TT full load price is $75,500 Cdn. Cheers!!
@@randahlbeach wow, I spent $375 to install a level 2 charger in my garage for my Niro EV.. $2500 to install a charger seems steep.... I have reserved a fisker ocean because of claimed range but I'll have to see when it debuts and see some range tests before I really commit... if Genesis or Kia Sportage EV produces over 300 mile range, I may change my mind and go with Korean products...
@@howie4206 Yes $2,500 is steep. I like to get the permits and go thru a licenced electrician. I understand that our neighbourhood is NOT the best for Phase 2 & 3 so therefore its a civic tax grab. I need to have the work completed "by the book" in case of an electrical fire at my residence. My insurance could be null & void if its found out I didn't go thru the proper channels. I have a few properties and just can't take a chance on installing something that could cause me headaches down the road. Fisker - I looked at that option too. One thing to keep in mind. Lower the # the more sportier, higher the #, the more luxurious it is with Genesis brand - official from Genesis. That being said, the name itself already answers most of your questions, I think. I'd go with GV60 because I like driving and having fun with cars. I love the fact that GV60 comes with Drift mode from the factory; this alone means a lot about the car. However, if it is the ride quality and experience inside the car driving and staying that matter eGV70 is certainly the winner.

I am ready to switch to an EV, and this is the EV that I am waiting for.
This will be worth the wait!
Beautiful interior better than Mercedes & bmw almost as good as Bentley!
Wow 🚀
@@CarSceneKorea that's funny, I just found out today that Genesis stole the designer from Bentley ... No wonder they look like Bentley !!
I really hope they stop using the net style compartments for the pockets on the back of the seats
Weighs more than my 2018 G90.
As if all EV SUVs start from 2,200 kg +
Still lighter than my Mohave. :)
@@johnholst *king has entered the chat*
@@CarSceneKorea maybe Kia will release a Mohave EV
Hello Sir, is a GV80 Hybrid coming soon? I'd wait it out if so... love the GV80 and need a 3rd row/extra space
Not sure yet, but there will certainly be an EV.
@@CarSceneKorea thank you! Great channel!
They should sell those in the states. I'd love a full EV gv70
Think they are coming!
The Polar Bear Club of the Arctic Circle gives your excellent review video three paws up!!! ʕ·͡ᴥ·ʔฅ ʕ·͡ᴥ·ʔฅ ʕ·͡ᴥ·ʔฅ Three Cheers!!
ʕ·͡ᴥ·ʔฅ ʕ·͡ᴥ·ʔฅ ʕ·͡ᴥ·ʔฅ
What about the front trunk?
Comes with 22ℓ frunk.
GV60 has smaller battery 72.3 kWh! I think hence 10 to 80 might be slower if buffer is smaller. E GV70 has 77 kWh and probably 84 kWh bufferdd battery
I genuinely don’t get the point of a boost button, if you put. The car in sports mode you should get all the power all the time not push a button to unlock, the way I look at it is engineers just didn’t take the time to correctly map the throttle response
There was a slight difference of pressing the Sport button versus Boost, most likely because Boost allows the car to go all out crazy at any time.
The only negative I see is the range : 400KM\250 Miles is not bad but not very impressive.
True. Those need upgrades for sure!
Yeah - for this larger vehicle the should have added a few more batt cells to get past the magic 300mi mark.
Did you mention real world range?
I usually have very limited time with cars, I couldn't capture the real world range. Most Hyundai Motor Group EVs perform slightly more than the announced and this eGV70 is no exception, confirmed by many.
Danke!
Thanks!
Genesis has a lot of work to do 😉
You never mentioned the kwh usage per 100km on your drive. That would have been useful information.
For sure. My test drives are usually short due to time constraint and tend to yield very low kWh or mpg. The official kWh is 4.6km/kWh(19" wheels) from Genesis.
Does anyone know if the GV70e will have WIRELESS Apple CarPlay? It appears that the GV60 will not have that.
Korean spec doesn't have it 🥲
@@CarSceneKorea Well, shoot!!
No need to be sorry. Think most of us feel the same way :P
Nice concept love what they’re doing, they lost me with the plastic grill try again Genesis
Next time 🥲
Nice ev…. Hopefully Kia and Hyundai are as good built as this genesis. Materials etc.
Hyundai, kia and Genesis are all effectively the same company. Genesis is definitely a level above in materials, build quality but the gap has been reduced recently.
@@brianan7342 good about the recent gap reduction. High time.
Hey, thanks for the review. Can you mention something about the time taken to charge (under home charging and fast chargers etc) and the range (miles in city and highway conditions) that the vehicle does in full charge please??
This video is the best I have to answer your question at the moment. I don't have any manufacturer sponsorship that I could do such test myself.🥲

😍😍😍
Are these Genesis SUVs durable , robust, safe and tough to buy and own?
Please do talk about reliability as it is not related to durability and toughness but dependability .
Something I'd love to cover in the future when I get the chance. I barely am able to film these short POVs for now given the limited resources 😢

네???!! 제 채널보시는 한국분도 적은데 심지어 시청자분 차량이 영상에 나오다니 ㅋㅋㅋ 반갑습니다!
Regen breaking is not a good idea on highway driving.
Hey Tom, why's that?
I don't know why this bothers me so much but it's pronounced "eee-co" not echo mode
Picky, picky, picky.
Always learning! Thanks for the correction, will try the pronunciation next!
❤
It seems all Tesla models now have quicker speed 2.5 seconds from 0 to 60 and longer driving range !! Genesis needs to wake up !!!
The competition is on!
Greatings from Switzerland
Roger 👍😎💯🇨🇭
Hey Roger,
I prefer the eGV70 over the 60.
a) Ext styling
b) Int styling & layout
c) Sunroof that opens
d) Looks exactly the same as eGV70 with buttons for common used features.
e) Driver side massage feature
Have not driven the GV60 yet but the LUXURY, QUIETNESS & power of GV70 is right up there (and better) than the Japanese & Germans.
Let me know what you think after you've had a chance to take it out.
Does the sun roof open?
Massaging front seats?
Luxurious?
Fit & Finish?
Quiet? (wind and road noise)
How quick is it really?
Have fun!!
Thx for the feedback. Have a great week:-)
Frunk?
There's one, 22 liters.
좋아요!
감사합니다!🚀
The front grill looks cheap….
😢
So irresponsible doing a car review in traffic!?
Utilizing all the resources I have at the moment 🥲
