- Italian food! Italian food is the best! Whether you are willing to admit it or not, this is the real reason you are here. You either want to go to Italy and eat all the food, or you want to order Italian food properly even in America or some other English-speaking land. Don't you worry, in this clip we will go over almost anything you could want to eat! Just try and stay focused rather than running to the fridge.
Script by Patrizia Farina, Professor of Italian at Western Connecticut State University and Purchase College.

Thank you so much for these videos! I started studying italian on my own about a month ago. There are no italian courses where I live so the only material I had was a book (what a bumer). Your videos surely help me to understand everything so much better. Thank you again!!! Greetings from Spain
I really appreciate the effort you put into your videos,I have studied italian in college but was not practicing the language in the recent years!
Grazie mille
When refering to first/second courses we almost always only say "primo" or "secondo", without adding "piatto" after.
Also, zucchini can be refered to as "zucchinE" too.
you are good when it comes to year 8 italian *gives thumbs up*
Very helpful - thank you Professor Dave! ^_^
I love the sound of some of these.. my favourite is "bombolone" :D - it really suits it!
OK now I'm hungry and I want to go to Italy next month! When the crowds are less and everything is ripe.
3:17 I know that you know, but I would point out that we always pronounce the "A" like in "spAghetti" pronunciation, so also "lAsagne" is "lAsagne", never like "E"
not sure what you mean, the A sound was pronounced identically in those two words
I don't know if I got it right but I'm pretty sure he meant that you said le lesagne
@@meamham yes
