The numbers 1 to 10 on the original Pulteq eq are not decibels (the don't mean anything). At the value of 10 you are boosting about 13db, while cutting 10 corresponds to about 17db.
Ease of use. Not letting you do surgical stuff so you don't get lost tweaking minute details and focus on general balance instead. Bettermaker is a super clean version of the Pultec, so it's not really the tube sound of a Pultec, it's more or less just the very smooth and gradual curves. You can do it with the Pro-Q, the biggest benefit of this one is you don't see the curves so you use your ears instead of your eyes.
Its not better, its different. Pulteq's have a fairly unique curve and often add harmonics due to the analogue modeling too. They're easy to use and demand the use of your ears rather than Pro-Q3's fancy FFT. Fabfilter you can technically do the same curves with a few nodes pushing and pulling in a similar way to the Pulteq, but its far less intuitive.
Awesome but listening on headphone your voice mic is so compressed , the breathes and it's a little aggravating.. Just a little constructive criticism Great information though
His voice mic was a little hard to listen to also way over compressed.. The breathes gave me a stomach ache LOL I felt like his nostrils were right in my ear ...LOL

at 9:30 when you compared the PE 1C's and eq232d's high shelf, the KCS were not matched, why is that?
That's an error on my part, they should have been matched in that specific case.
@@MarulaMusic good review regardless!
Thanks Nate, ever helpful👍
i use them all in one chain
The Bettermaker sounds awesome 💯
Where are the harmonics?
Thank you)❤
What is the program you use to show the eq curves..??? Never seen before really interesting
As the title shows clearly: Plugin doctor.
That's PluginDoctor.
@@philburns5656 Thank you
@@peteralbert9805 Alright dude, calm down.
@@phantom_him I am perfectly calm, thank you... dude.
How does the Bettermaker compare with the Amek 200?
amek has that ugly digital sound when boosting high frequencies
Is this really better than a fab filter pro Q 3? Can’t it do anything fab filter can’t?

We have a video coming next week on a possible Pro Q 3 killer. Stayed tuned
Sonic Academy Lmao Pro Q 3 killer. Good one.

Just a quick correction. The numbers on the Boost and Attenuation are not dB’s, it’s a scale.
I thought he was wearing a Mickey Mouse hat lol
Dan in graphics havin a laugh ...
Me too! 😂😂😂
LMAOOOO ME TOO 💀💀💀💀
❤Pulteq

You might up your cred by spelling 'Pultec' correctly....
Cred restored
The source material (those drums) was terrible - pardon my honesty.
