Great video Thomas! I honestly hate the LED's on the main knobs, I would also suggest getting gear that won't rely on software. That A/D D/A point is hell of confusing and would be a big no no for me aswell
Great video, but I wish you had used it on the mixbus too! Totally agree with the „more depth“ feel, but also I noticed a difference in transient response. The plugin sounded softer while the HW sounded like the transient stands out clearer. The vocals sounded more punchy, maybe thats due to the tube saturation
Always worry about these types of gear as they rely on software which at some point the support will end and the unit will be really hard to recall due to the way its designed. Still tempted to try one though.
Is this Comparable to Tubetech CL1B? I've always wanted one but can't afford it. We use the Plugin Version but it's not the same. I currently Have an Avalon 737 as My Main Preamp.
not at all, this is a passive equalizer, the cl1b is an opto compressor. or do you mean the PE1C maybe? it shares the same design, but i haven't had the two side by side.
Better maker makes some cool stuff…why the f didn’t they do an internal psu with this thing? The 12 v wall wart just makes this thing come across as CHEAP JUNK
@@thomasvopstal es, it's about the Bettermaker. By the way, great video, thank you for the content. That being said, here's my humble opinion about the product: There are cheaper things with more sound and personality than this one. The video might be sponsored, but your followers' comments aren't
Is it possible to achieve the same quality as an album released with only plug-ins and no real hardware at all? Even mastering. If it is impossible, it would be wise to save on plug-in costs and buy hardware in the first place.
The thing with questions like these are, what is album-quality? There are many shit and many great sounding albums out there. So yeah, you could make an album with any piece of gear, doesnt make it sound great tho😬

Thanks! So it turns out there are no converters in this thing, chatgpt is just very unreliable it turns out😅
@@thomasvopstal How do you feel about the LED's tho? Or is it just me? hehehe

Yes! I’d love to do mixbus as well, but it does demonetize the video unfortunately. I might do more demo files for members at some point!
Thank you for your content, opening my mind and perspective. Also, you’re pretty funny 😂
Thanks! I try my best to make in depth content as well as be entertaining🙏
Where do I buy plugin version
Is this the GP app from Dimitriii?
Put carpet on your desk it will help with reflections too!

@@pepesebastiao9654 sound is subjective, but this thing specs out waay differently, leagues above warm audio, therefore the price.
Cheap and warm seems like two negative attributes. I’ll take the Bettermaker
