- This RUclips channel is about me Sven Yrvind. I am85 and 9 months old dyslectic solo sailor. I am adapting a modest size 30 year old 17 feet, 5.3 meter long high latitude canoe cruiser of my own design for a sail to Dunedin in NZ. There I have been promised an ice cream.
The route will take me south of Cape of Good Hope, Africa and Cape Leeuwin, Australia.
The voyage is not only intended to be one of pleasure. With two of the three great capes done I believe that if I continue east and round Cape Horn. I can argue that a small boat is seaworthy and that will be good for the man of small means.
Often the 22th every month I do a resume of the project.

I was amazed by the library from before and I am still amazed now.
The knowledge shared from the author's and yourself over these many years and you picking the book like old friends. It is somewhat like a DJ's selection of records...... All are knowledge stored, readily accessible, ready to be played, or digested.
The most absolutely, amazing thing in my mind is that; that library has every corner covered by your mind; which operates in a dyslexic format.
I have a slight tangent of dyslexia and wander with texts and books, flexing, but what you have achieved is monumental.

Since you sailing to New Zealand you might be interested in a small boat sailors book. The famous Rockstar John Fagan who has been sailing his 5 metre small yacht for decades. It was recently lost on the way to Capehorn. There is a "Swirly World Wiki" with all the details. His rudder, skeg and windvane fell off. "Swirly World lost" is the book.
Strong winds: Sven, I understand you don't use the Heave to maneuver. Can you develop this more?

@@canyonhaverfield2201 well that is a valid perspective, but personally I only buy things I need and use, and really enjoy the few material things I have that support content I follow.
