The Christians say this text is a prophecy about Jesus 9 :1/7
For a child has been born to us, a son given to us, and the authority is upon his shoulder, and the wondrous adviser, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, called his name, "the prince of peace."To him who increases the authority, and for peace without end, on David's throne and on his kingdom, to establish it and to support it with justice and with righteousness; from now and to eternity, the zeal of the Lord of Hosts shall accomplish this. This text is the continuation of the reference to the King of Hezekiah
Look : justice from now and to eternity … : For a child has been born to us: Although Ahaz is wicked, his son who was born to him many years ago [nine years prior to his assuming the throne] to be our king in his stead, shall be a righteous man, and the authority of the Holy One, blessed be He, and His yoke shall be on his shoulder, for he shall engage in the Torah and observe the commandments, and he shall bend his shoulder to bear the burden of the Holy One, blessed be He.
and… called his name: The Holy One, blessed be He, Who gives wondrous counsel, is a mighty God and an everlasting Father, called Hezekiah’s name, “the prince of peace,” since peace and truth will be in his days.
To him who increased the authority: To whom will He call this name? To the king who increases the authority of the Holy One, blessed be He, upon himself, to fear Him.
authority: an expression of government :This is to refute the allegations of the Christians. But it is possible to say that “Prince of Peace,” too, is one of the names of the Holy One, blessed be He, and this calling of a name is not actually a name but an expression of (var. for the purpose of) greatness and authority. Comp. (Ruth 4:11) “And be famous in Bethlehem. Also (II Sam. 7:9, I Chron. 17:8): ” And I shall make for you a name.“ Here too, Scripture means, ” And He gave him a name and authority."]
and for peace: which is given to him, there will be no end, for he had peace on all his sides, and this “end” is not an expression of an end to eternity, but there will be no boundaries. On the throne of the kingdom of David shall this peace be justice and righteousness that Hezekiah performed.
and for peace: This ‘vav’ is to rectify the word, thus: He [Hezekiah] increased the authority upon his shoulder, and what reward will He [God] pay him? Behold, his peace shall have no end or any limit.
from now and to eternity: The eternity of Hezekiah, viz. all his days. And so we find that Hannah said concerning Samuel (I Sam. 1:22): “and abide there forever.” And, in order to refute the Christians who claim that : (Prince of Peace) is their deity:Jesus], we can refute them [by asking], What is the meaning of: “from now” ? Is it not so that the “deity” did not come until after Six hundred years and more?
the zeal of the Lord of Hosts: Who was zealous for Zion concerning what Aram and Pekah planned about it.
shall accomplish this: but Ahaz does not deserve it, moreover, the merit of the Patriarchs has terminated. Theologians said : The Holy One, blessed be He, wished to make Hezekiah the Messiah and Sennacherib, Gog and Magog. Said the ministering angels before the Holy One, blessed be He, Should the one who stripped the doors of the Temple and sent them to the king of Assyria, be made Messiah? Christians say that these attributes apply only to Jesus:
look at the Bible, we will find that these attributes were for other prophets and righteous and Angel as well :
      the mighty God :
Genesis 16:13 And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me
Look Lord and God : Hagar is talking about an angel
Psalm 82 :1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods
Psalm 82 :6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Exodus 4 :1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet
Jesus denied the divinity in its true sense and has never claimed it : John 10:31/36 ... Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Jesus talks about the allegorical meaning
If the Christians insist on saying that the meaning is real : What is the answer to this dilemma? John 20:17 ... I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God
If Jesus is a true son of God, are the disciples also true sons?
If Jesus, after his resurrection from the grave, has returned to his origin, that is, divinity
Did Jesus not say about himself, I and my Father are one and I am in the Father, and the Father in me?
How can he say about the father that he is his god? the everlasting Father
Where do we find in the New Testament that Jesus is called in the name of the Father?
      the prince of peace
      Hebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
If the text of Isaiah says, Prince of Peace and Christians say that apply to Jesus, The text of the Hebrews quoted from the Old Testament says that King of Salem is the King of Peace , how is a King of Salem better than Jesus? He is the King of Peace and Jesus is the Prince of Peace
This text is explicit in Hezekiah, because he is the one who is inferior to King of Salem
and for peace without end, on David's throne and on his kingdom Going back to the Old Testament, we find that the same attributes were for Solomon
1 Chronicles 22:9/10 and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days ... and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever
1 Kings 2: but upon David, and upon his seed, and upon his house, and upon his throne, shall there be peace for ever from the LORD
Look at the word : and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever and be peace forever
Did the kingdom of Israel remain after Solomon, and did it remain forever?
Was he on the throne and kingdom of David forever peace?

Thank you for your insights! I appreciate the time and thought you put into walking through these passages. Brother, if I may, I would like to ask for prayer. Please pray for me as I read the Word. As a believer, I have struggled with reading the Word. Sometimes it is just hard for me to focus and to be consistent with it. But I know our God is working in my heart to help me. Thank you for being His instrument in helping me to read and understand the Word.

After doing a deep study of the original text and various translations and considering the quote of Isa 9:1 by Matthew 4:15, as a prophecy of Jesus it should have been translated as follow:
Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. AT FIRST he will be INSIGNIFICANT in the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, BUT LATER he will become GREAT in Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan
Interpretation: Jesus fulfilled this because when he first came in Capernaum, strait after the baptism, no one knew who he was, he was a nobody, but later when he got to Galilee and started His ministry he became known to many and his reputation preceded him. He gained many followers.
In the traditional translations (even kjv) this prophecys is lost and there is no connection with how it was fulfilled.

Jesus is not the Father in the Trinity. The verb was changed so it would mean future not past. This Verse 6 was about a king not Jesus. The king was called many names, mighty chief not mighty God etc. the king was not called mighty God, he was called mighty chief. Only the truth.
