One for Israel is truly a gift to me. 2 years ago I started listening to I have been a Christian for 51 years. I am in my tenth year of studying the TORAH Portions and what is so wonderful is every year I learn something new in each one! The depths of this book are so affirming of the greatness of YAH.
You were grafted in to the tree through Christ as a chosen follower. He set us apart for his purpose.
You weren’t grafted in to the Pharisees and Sadducee’s who were spiritually blind and did not recognize the one that the Torah spoke of. If you don’t know the Son you have NO part in the Father, intellectually or otherwise. When a person is joined to Christ and is Baptized into him the Holy Spirit joins him back to the Father . If you don’t understand Christ you don’t know the Father as he said himself. Christ fulfilled all the Torah required of us to fulfill for us and through the Spirit empowered us to be able to carry that out.

Is it only me? I feel a very strong connection with the Scripture when a Jewish believer in the Lord Yeshua explains it thoroughly. It never stop to amaze me as if I am sitting down at the feet of Apostle Paul himself. Their honest exposition makes more sense that the church fathers' allegories. Oh how blessed are these people!
Church Fathers were Greek... definitely Jewish Believers will have more intimate knowledge about their Messiah than the later greek Fathers

What Ive seen is that true believers in Yeshua aren't required to keep any holydays or holidays. They are also not required to give up all their old holidays based upon Col. 2:6-17, 3:17; Heb. 8-10; Rom. 14:1-7. It seems to make it clear that the Old Testament laws were a shadow of things to come, of Jesus' work. Since he is the only one that has the ability to truly save, not keeping the ceremonial laws, then he is the only judge a believer is truly accountable to. So whether he/she continues with certain holidays (and dietary restrictions, in context) should be based on the Spirit's leading. Individuals, even in biological families, are free to differ....
@vbcatron9210 false. You misinterpret scripture. In bible what festivals JESUS says we must keep even into eternity. And yes we must not celebrate traditions or customs of man that man made up. Jesus came to fulfill the covenant and so He did. Jesus says He is LORD over Shabbat not Shabbat LORD over man. But Jesus commands us to observe festivals BUT Christmas or Easter or any other traditions of men are NOT those festivals of GOD ✝ 🇮🇱

At about 8:40 timestamp the very sad statement is made that the religious leaders do not read the portions of scripture relating to ChristJesus, the promised Messiah. And it brought to mind the verses in Matthew23 where Jesus condemns the religious leaders of his day no better than the leaders of old who murdered the prophets and they kept the people away from Him, nothing has changed sadly, but we all long for the day of Romans11 when Israel finally recognizes Christ Jesus as their Messiah.
Keep these coming brothers- the message of the messiah is what delivers! And thank the God of Israel for He is great and glorious and His grace continues forever!

Oh this is crazy! Yesterday I had decided to read Micah 5 in prep for Christmas coming. I did several times. Then in the evening we went to Bible study and the teacher was teaching on Matthew 2 and Numbers 24. As I was reading numbers 24 to myself and then into 25 while he was teaching. I was struck how it kept reminding me of Micah! Several places seemed similar to me! I told my husband about it on our drive home. I had wanted to watch this video yesterday and never got a chance to. Here I was listening just now and when you said the Micah 5 part I was shocked. So shocked I called out for my husband like I needed his help. Oops sorry dear…just really excited about God’s Word, His Spirit’s working and the puzzle pieces that fit together! Wow just wow! I was born again in August 1972 out of his outpouring across America , since then I have read scripture . My first Bible marked up I gave to my to my Son. I have many Bibles , all marked up. I have spent my life listening to, reading scripture. My conclusion no one man can understand Scripture , Adonai in his wisdom gave His word to many men to write down. Yeshua is the word.

Oh yes, they have for many many years, even before Messiah Yahshua. There is a great book called "The Messiah Texts' by Raphael Patai, which details the MULTIPLE erroneous APPROVALS (by various sects of Judaism) of 'messiahs'. Of course they barely give a 'by line' to 'jesus' (rightfully), for this 'jesus' is like the 'goyeem mask' which Joseph wore as chancellor and why his brothers could not recognize him. So it is with the True Messiah, who, like Joseph in Egypt, will be revealed at YHWH's timing.

There are no set B'rit Chadashah readings to accompany the parshahs because the diverse factions of Messianic believers have not yet been able to discuss it; however, there are many suggestions, all subject to change.
(The best guide is, and always will come from the prompting of the Ruach HaKo'desh, or "Holy Spirit.")
For Balak, i have chosen Jude 1-25, trying to preserve the theme of the portion.
Some are easy, like John 1, pairs nicely with Bereishit, but the hardest part is choosing from among the many multiple references to the Tanakh.

God did say that He would be a light to the Gentiles. We Gentiles saw him when Israel did not, because he is a light to the Gentiles. Isaiah 49:5-6 says,
'And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.'
I am grateful the eyes of Israel are opening now. Jesus is returning very soon.
And, as a side note. Balaam is a prophet. He is not a false prophet. He is not some trickster. Balaam is a prophet, who spoke by the same holy spirit of God as the holy prophets. Balaam was in error; he loved money, and he fell in his lustful transgression. Jude calls it, 'the error of Balaam'. (Jude 1:11). And Balaam's prophecy will come to pass, because it is the word of God which he spoke. God tried to give Balaam a space to repent, as it says, '...cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.' (2 Peter 2:14-16) God tried to turn Balaam around, to cause him to repent, but greed overcame him, and he did not repent. Balaam began in the right way, but he forsook it when he was offered wealth. He went astray, because of the lust of the eyes. He went mad with greed, but he was still a prophet. We must beware also. Are we using God's gifts to satisfy the lust of our eyes, or the lust of our flesh, or the pride of our own life? The gifts and call of God are without repentance. Once God anoints someone to prophesy, they are anointed. But woe to those who forsake the right way in pursuit of the worldly 3 (lust of eyes, lust of flesh, pride).

The Gods people today are still denying his son as the religious leaders did when Jesus was here, and they crucified him. They knew who he was but let their own pride and losing their status (mans way of thinking, satan).

The Balaam account has a donkey. It seems very important to pay attention to stories that have donkeys in them. Donkeys representing faithful hard working servants.
