non of others have this talent what we gypsies have! gypsies have the bless of music in their blood and not just some pretty words but we really play music more than 1000 years! (it's a cultural thing more like the language)
Those guys were my neighbours in Strasbourg, Alsace, FR. Every summer, they made barbecue on their balcony, and Marcel Loeffler was there, Yorgui and Vif Loeffler. I just had to open my window to have a wonderful show. I know many of "manouche" families (Loeffler, Reinhardt, Merstein, Lorier,...) they are good musicians, but also amazing humans with generosity, loyalty, good friendship. I really like those guys !
Wow! Hope everyone appreciates how much time out of their lives these gents sacrificed so we could hear the impossible on the guitar. Better yet, thank you Django fo infecting so many guitar player who wish to immulate you style of guitar picking. Remember, Django did it with 2 (or 2 1/2) fingers! Bravo!
I've seen over 20 diferent versions of Minor Swing on youtube and this is the best one in my opinion. Every second of this performance is interesting and attention worthy. They really know how to build tension and resolve + this video contains all my favorite licks. Big like. :)
I agree with you regarding the licks, some are very unique and great sounding, but some of the execution is also sloppy as hell. My favourite version is by Stochello Rosenberg and Joscho Stephan
FInally someone who has seen the light! haha, i showed this to my extremly metal friend two weeks later he had all of django's material haha, it's soo good!
after seeing hundreds maybe even thousands of renditions of minor swing(those of you gypsy jazz fans know exactly wat im talking about) this is truly one of the greatest
This is Yorgui Loeffler . It's a very good gipsy player. and it's nothing to say it!! I played twice with him in jam session and in duo...impressionned moments that I can't forget!!
Yorgui Loeffler is an amazing guitar player, but I think my favorite out of those 3 soloists was Laffont, because he can transition from note to the other so smoothly. Another thing is that he spent most of his solo going at a pretty steady speed instead of breakneck fast, like the other two.
Agreed.. His opening phrase was well thought out and oozed musicality. Then he proceeds to go, " Hey, I can play fast and technical too!", and ties it all together with some great chord work. Very Django!
AND he has a deeper theoretical knowledge by the sound of it, more melody variations to draw on and I hear every kind of diatonic note in his solo, BRAVO!!
I did not quit hahaha I've been playing for about 18 years now. switched to predominantly acoustic 10 years ago, dropped the pick altogether about 6 or 7 years ago, and started piecemeal "composing" stuff in earnest about 5 years ago
Hi, I live in Strasbourg(France), that is a "nest" of gipsys musicians and it is always a real pleasure to hear them play. We had a big gipsy's swing festival but the UMP(fuck'em up!!) mayor made stop it. Gipsy's music is like bird songs, free and always happy, it put a BIG FUCKIN'SUN in your heart. Unfortunately, some people hate birds because they're free and they fly(and make you fly) higher than the clouds. Sorry for my poor english, I'm just a froggy :p
They all have great skills and it is amazing, but I don´t like most parts of the second guy and some parts of the first guy. Both can play really good and fast but in my opinion it´s sometimes too much, almost metal shredding on a acoustic... The third guy plays less notes but carrying more emotion with his improvisation. He seems like the experienced one, who doesn´t have to show big nuts by playing that fast. At least no one can beat the original Django solo, the first guy starts with.
Holy shit they are halfgods. Three of the best guitar players I ve ever seen. Incredible these skills are incredible. They are not human! xD great great great
I love gypsy jazz but I hate the way every single solo collapses into the same old shred-fest.. The second guy was just playing really fast exercises for more than half of his solo! Impressive technically, but not musically..
AS a Lead Guitarist of similar tastes I am absolutely astounded by this performance and the implications of what I will play during my few chances of DJGO IMPRO in my next gigs nah probably foreva!!!
non of others have this talent what we gypsies have! gypsies have the bless of music in their blood and not just some pretty words but we really play music more than 1000 years! (it's a cultural thing more like the language)
The first and last guys seem so humble in their playing.
Those guys were my neighbours in Strasbourg, Alsace, FR.

I know many of "manouche" families (Loeffler, Reinhardt, Merstein, Lorier,...) they are good musicians, but also amazing humans with generosity, loyalty, good friendship. I really like those guys !
Finally I found my type of jazz...
Wow! Hope everyone appreciates how much time out of their lives these gents sacrificed so we could hear the impossible on the guitar.
Oh my god. Gypsy jazz= New favorite music genre!!!!
I've seen over 20 diferent versions of Minor Swing on youtube and this is the best one in my opinion. Every second of this performance is interesting and attention worthy. They really know how to build tension and resolve + this video contains all my favorite licks. Big like. :)
I totally agree with you. This is greatest performance ever. My first comment on RUclips.
I agree with you regarding the licks, some are very unique and great sounding, but some of the execution is also sloppy as hell. My favourite version is by Stochello Rosenberg and Joscho Stephan
And Angelo Debarre's performance?
@@miklosborka-fc3cq Angelo is another type of beast
I've always been a bit of a Rosenberg Trio fan myself.
This is some of the best playing I've ever seen
❤️🎶❤️ I am so happy to see this video again with these excellent musicians 👍 👏👏👏 Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
Blown away...I met the 2 Djangos' playing a session on a train from Almere
to Amsterdam,2000.Magic!
FInally someone who has seen the light! haha, i showed this to my extremly metal friend two weeks later he had all of django's material haha, it's soo good!
same reason im here lol.... suspect its a metal head hidden land in here
Grandissimi. Sembra di sentire Django. Veramente. Grandissima mano e grandissimo cuore.
Wow this an awesome take on Minor Swing. Those lads really did a great job.
40 dislikes on a million plays is absolutely nothing. What a wonderful version of this swing...
Nagyon Tetszenek...Köszönöm Ausztráliábol...Kedvelem igazán...
thanks for the 3rd guy for putting in a slow part! :p
think i,ll give up guitar for a while until i recover from watching this.Brilliant
Are these guys from another Galaxy? Never seen that speed, energy and precision like this!!!
THIS IS SO FRIEKING AWESOME!!! MAJOR SHREDDIng!!!
after seeing hundreds maybe even thousands of renditions of minor swing(those of you gypsy jazz fans know exactly wat im talking about) this is truly one of the greatest
3:02 man....that is so sick....its like "oohh my god this guitar is ALIVE!!!!"
.......awsome...great video..it is a pleasure to watch them play..
The true definition of a metal guitar solo.
What a great performance.
Thumbs up guys.
Yes
Playing like this is my ultimate goal. You can't get cooler than these guys
Absolutely amazing! I've been playing jazz guitar/lead for 11 years and this is some damn good technique and feel.
I love how this music is just an endless string that just goes on and on and on
thanks you. with you I remembered my youth!
your guitar playing a great virtuoso. bravo
I could listen to this all day every day.
I really love this. Thank you for sharing this inspiring performance.
Fantastic. Awsome. Beautiful. One of the best performances of minor swing !
Can't find the word a good enough to describe this!
This is Yorgui Loeffler . It's a very good gipsy player. and it's nothing to say it!! I played twice with him in jam session and in duo...impressionned moments that I can't forget!!
I'm a metal-head and I think this is awesome!
Excellent musicians with a stunning technique and remarkable improvisation. Real virtuosos.
This is great ... love it! wish I could play like Django (or even come close to this! )
You hear that song also in the game mafia. Love it!!
Simply wonderful ! Amazing ! Hypnotic ! I saved the video offline and it's at least 50 times I watch / listen it !
The passage at 1:52 is incredible :')
THIS guy is simply amazing . Taking my breath away
The true beauty of Django's work is that he performed his solos with only two fingers.
Like a boss.
I love these guys. They are so GOOD!
Yorgui Loeffler is an amazing guitar player, but I think my favorite out of those 3 soloists was Laffont, because he can transition from note to the other so smoothly. Another thing is that he spent most of his solo going at a pretty steady speed instead of breakneck fast, like the other two.
Don't do this at home, remember that they are trained professionals
Good inspiration for what you do play though!
You may get hurt
s mile s
lol
Yeah because you'll probably get a hand injury if you do try it.
What a harmony of body and mind. Awesome! 💖
Love the last guy...tasty as fuck.
That last guy is sublime
+byronicman Yes he reminds me more of Django's sonority and style and, as you said it , taste.
+byronicma
h
Agreed.. His opening phrase was well thought out and oozed musicality. Then he proceeds to go, " Hey, I can play fast and technical too!", and ties it all together with some great chord work. Very Django!
Couldn't agree more. All three are incredible, but that last guy was hot and smooooth! Amazing chords!
Crazy impro on Django's take, big thanks to guys like this for giving me cool new ideas on building my own improv, well played.
The second guitarist is crazy like Bireli!
AND he has a deeper theoretical knowledge by the sound of it, more melody variations to draw on and I hear every kind of diatonic note in his solo, BRAVO!!
4:30 soooo sweeet bend...
Love this. Gets me up and moving in the morning. A good feel to it.
This makes me want to quit playing guitar forever hahaha just this is it, the fact that this show happened is enough for me hahaha
I hope you didn't !
I did not quit hahaha I've been playing for about 18 years now. switched to predominantly acoustic 10 years ago, dropped the pick altogether about 6 or 7 years ago, and started piecemeal "composing" stuff in earnest about 5 years ago
grew up listenin to my old grandad playin django bloody brilliant xx
Don Salieri sent me here ;D
Bravi!
6:05 --- They all got up and rushed off to the toilet -- that's why they were playing so fast.
I just saw the movie Chocolot this weekend-- I'm glad I found Django Reinhardt on youtube.
What the hell why am I just discovering this now
Are you allowed to say hell?
Dan F. do you still listen to gypsy jazz ?
Same, just discovered it now, am hooked
that must be on the top 10 of most amazing things I've ever seen !!
3:03 NITRO BURST
Now This Is Podracing
Now that's music in any language. Thanks guys - made my night.
hes cheating, you can only use 2 fingers in gypsy jazz
+Lance Pate funny but not true
there's always a smartass in the comment section 💩
Alex Villalobos take that shit elsewhere
+Lance Pate where should I take it bud.
ELSEWHERE HOMBRE :P
Those three guitarrists and Dajngo means the Joy of Life
Victor Mendoza you
The guitarist at 4:47 was better than the one that played right before and didn't any clapping :(
I preferred the first and third player, the last guy had really good style and very clean
@@adamsemler983 Agreed!

6 minutes and 6 seconds damn well spent!
WOOOOW!!! OUTSTANDING!
The first is cool.....
the second cracy....
the third very erotic...
i love it!
I LOVE this group!
2:07 ... "Challenge accepted"
Unbeliavable... Those guys are INSANE!
Anyone got the TAB for this video?
I thought in a few short years I'll be at a good level in guitar, now I'll have to add another 90. Thanks!
m yokoq
I prefer the second movie.
Amazing! I can't understand how it's even possible to play like this.
They all have great skills and it is amazing, but I don´t like most parts of the second guy and some parts of the first guy.

Albine Yes speed is not the main thing , but they do it well and as young fellows seem to enjoy it!
Juste MONSTRUEUX!... Bravo!
so close to the real django version
It is indeed great..Now lets see him attempt that with 2 fingers? :)
Great to see the world following his steps
The guy was genius ❤
Sad he had a short life
The world won't forget him ❤
Beautiful sound jazzy ❤
Iraq Lobster
Chris campion sa joue 🔥🔥👏🏽👍🏽
mockery of Django.
speed of fingers is higher than the soul.
+Ivan V. Antipin Don't eat shit m8. :)
Amazing gipsy music! I do Love them....
I love gypsy jazz but I hate the way every single solo collapses into the same old shred-fest.. The second guy was just playing really fast exercises for more than half of his solo! Impressive technically, but not musically..
Try to do it sometime, you’ll appreciate it more.
My fave music so far. Been listening to Metronote Quintet for years, this is so good.
second guy wasn't good.. he just wanna show his fast fingers but empty fingers.. no melody.. first guy is best..
I prefer the third guy. I love how it becomes all calm and nearly silent :)
That last guy is so good! And of course yorgui
The first guy copyied djangos version almost exactly so it would be frowned upon usually. But the crowd sometimes needs it
Caglar YAVASOGLU yeah right i m sure
he's "too" good for gypsy jazz, that's for sure.
AS a Lead Guitarist of similar tastes I am absolutely astounded by this performance and the implications of what I will play during my few chances of DJGO IMPRO in my next gigs nah probably foreva!!!
