I always get the notification but I'm never home when it happens, I really need to test out some of my amiibo since I've never gone against anyone else lol Also, videos like this one are a great idea. Nintendo fixed the AI for at least Incineroar I recently trained him to taunt when he hits a big attack and the opponent is off stage he uses up taunt and it shows some gods disrespect
great content, and very unique now a days. tho its 3 years old nobody is doing this anymore.... I have a question regarding my Raid boss Ganondorf. Im not sure what to feed him as primary. what i need to know is if the diferent power spirits have, on a same tier lvl, translates to amiibo stats, for xmpl> Claus has less stats than Arceus but both are Legendary neutrals with no passive. Another question is... should i give him balanced stats spirit? or favor damage over defence and viceversa. like the above xmpl, Arceus has balanced dmg and defence, claus has more damage than defence. Maby im to late but im starting this amiibo thing and it looks very interesting to mess arround
I wish they utilized the taunt system the AI used in Smash 4. If you taught them to taunt on kill, they’d only taunt on kill. Now they taunt with any barely decent knockback, which usually sets them up to be insta smashed by falling attacks or spikes
this exact reason is why i cri erytime i see some "super hype strongest amiibo" that taunts it's like, yeah, it taunts... but that means it does worse as an opponent lol
Hey there Doc, i don't really have a question for you, but i just have something that i need to get off my chest. I train my amiibo with spirits because it is more fun for me, but a lot of amiibo experts look down on the idea, so i feel kinda bad for training with spirits. I'm not sure what to do. (P.S. i love your content. Keep it up dude.)
Keep doing what you're doing! If you don't want to compete in tournaments, don't train vanilla, there's nothing bad about that. Amiibo operate closest to their intended behavior when they're vanilla, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have as much fun with it as you can. When I crap on spirits trainers, I crap on the ones that insist it's the best format for amiibo and everything else is lame, not on people like you who are just having a good time.
In Amiibo AI, what are the differences of the echoes and which is better? Example is Daisy better than Peach (I don't actually know), because she has smarter AI or something like that.
The AI and routines are actually the same for all of them, which is a problem for different characters like Roy and Chrom, Ken and Ryu. Generally it comes down to consistency of the amiibo, so not having sweetspots is usually better. However I think we can train echoes that have those slight differences a bit different to take advantage of the differences
Doesn't armor knight make incin's bad recovery even less consistent? I've noticed that problem on my pokemon trainer with ak where it'll often fail to get back to stage by just a slight distance due to the speed decrease. It's not like amiibo are hurting for extra power or defense assuming they've got a good primary, so I feel like as raid bosses armor knight just makes them easier to cheese vs human opponents
Theoretically yeah, and most people use move speed Up on theirs. It doesn't make a big deal to me because he won't go as far offstage in the first place, and any gimping won't be nearly as effective. The amiibo can recover from a really good distance if it has jump so it's only an incremental difference
For human/CPU players, yeah - but only support spirits transfer the spirit effect to the amiibo. Primary spirits (which Black Knight is) give stats, support spirits give effects. My job would be 10x easier if primaries gave effects too lol
@@AmiiboDoctor see thats a thing called breaking the game cause im guessing no matter what you would keep the three support slots so theoretically you could have giant, metal, AND super armor all in one amiibo
I have 1 question. If am starting to train my Amiibo at lvl 1 should I give him the spirits and the supports or should I wait till he lvl 50 then do it. I see in your video you did it at lvl 1 and fought against it using spirits. Does it matter what spirits you use? I have a little mac spirit build I use for wol and it dominates. Should I use it while I fight against my little mac amiibo!

You dont have to play on high intensity, however it does reward you with the currency needed to buy halberd. i want to know more specifics about amiibo taunting, because almost anything i find is just "don't do it idiot" and thats not helpful. would taunting just once or twice late into training make it so that the amiibo just sometimes taunts after kills, or would it be stupid enough to taunt whenever?
I mean, if you want it to taunt, go right ahead - just be aware that it'll taunt a lot more than you train it to in most cases. There's rarely a good middle ground with amiibo taunting.
@@AmiiboDoctor i just ran a test where i up taunted three times at the beginning of a joker amiibo and had it fight low-level cpu with learning off, and i see what everyone means. not a single time did it taunt after a kill. at low level it taunted after completely random launches, at mid-level it just did that but less often, and at high-level it only taunted once, at a completely dumb time. also, it only did up taunt once. if there's anything I want fixed about amiibo, it's how much they suck at taunting
@@AmiiboDoctor that's what I figured, people were trying to tell me that they need to use spirits but I thought you weren't aloud to, thank you for clarifying that up for me 👍
No, they don't change. Also - amiibo don't adapt to characters specifically, they only respond according to their environment. So "matchup experience" doesn't actually exist because it's not a concretized, unique set of behavior that the amiibo has.
Hey, Great video. One question: I don't remember the character I used to train my K Rool amiibo, but if it was another character, the results are the same?

Several AI issues and an inability to use his good moves properly. Annoyingly enough, his moves alone would actually be really great in amiibo, especially side special. The AI being totally half-baked is what's stopping him

Where can my amiibos fight other amiibos online?
So what spirits do people use to fight raid boss amiibos? Is there a power limit or spirits that are banned?
Usually people don't use spirits to fight them, as the intention behind raid bosses is to win an unfair fight

One question: I don't remember the character I used to train my K Rool amiibo, but if it was another character, the results are the same?
Amiibo AI handles learning from its own character different than learning from others, so for the most precise training always use their character

And does the Amiibo learn that kind of stuff still at Lvl 50?

For Raid Bosses, yeah. For competitive amiibo, no
Quick question: This all works without spirits raid boss right? Like, having a no spirits raid boss wouldn't really change anything?
