Passed my 2A just 2 weeks ago, passing first attempt on 2A TP is one thing, but passing 2B TP is notoriously difficult as you described.. Now I have Honda S4 Revo and been visiting JB since then. Good life!
Awww thank you so much @Tambakoverlanders, the edit took time since I had like 8 months of footage but I'm glad you enjoyed it and appreciate different perspectives 🫰🏽
As a local and currently taking my 2b license this was funny and somewhat true. Of course, as long as you pursue the love for riding and push through all the bike accident videos they try to show you during the lessons, it’s rewarding at the end, I hope! Oh and congrats on getting your Vespa.
Show off! LOL congrats on passing, it's honestly such a simple joy to ride around freely, am happy for you to be able to enjoy it as well @muhddinie7265!
Congrats on your Vespa. Like you, I passed my 2B test only on the third try. But after being on the road more with my 2B bike, and continuing to consciously "practise" the circuit skills, I managed to subsequently pass both 2A and 2 on the first attempt.
Keyword is to not give up! I first took 2B lesson back in 2010, didn't complete it and then adulting happened. Tried again in mid-2022, and got the license 6 months later! Now mid-2024 just gotten my 2A. Hope to get the full license by end of 2025!
I obtained my 2B license in 2018, but I faced numerous challenges, especially during my practical lessons, often failing, particularly in the slope lesson. I almost gave up, but I persisted, and now I have my own bike.
If u fail is not that they are trying to fail u and make it difficult for u to pass. It’s because u didn’t meet the passing criteria. All the course inside the school are there for a reason. I took my class 2B and 2A in the early 90s. Stopped riding in early 2000. I just got my class 2 in 2018 after 18 years without riding. The course inside are the same only different is the cc and weight of the bike. I can still remember all the techniques that were taught in the 90s. Figure 8 & Crank course for u to do U turn and negotiate tight corners, narrow plank for u to lane split more for balancing in low speed, pylon slalom for u to negotiate fast manoeuvre, Emergency brakes need no explanation, for 2A and class 2 bumpy course for u to ride future adventures bike😂, slope when u are at shopping malls where u need to insert ur cash card🤣.
Amazing you went for class 2 after 18 years, that's incredible! Thanks for sharing your journey. The instructors at the school told us candidly in the last few years given the rise in accidents, they are put under the pressure to make the entire process much longer and much harder to pass despite the same timeless courses/obstacles, but hopefully I can join you in class 2 one day. Stay safe on the road, and thank you for watching!
Excellent points. linking the obstacles to actual situations. Good if the circuit includes a full right U-turn also. And add a bump that is at every car park gantry, especially somewhat sloping.
When I did my 2B some years ago, a co-learner (30-something layer from Georgia [ Russia, not US]) was somewhat nervous at the practical test. And when it came to the 'line up outside to verify your identity etc', he exclaimed (on seeing the testers/TP in their brownish Khaki uniforms: "What are the Cambodian Generals doing here !":-)
Just passed my 2B license as well on the second try. While i agree that there are many rules, I think the testers are not there to fail us in circuit. So long we do what we are taught and there are no IFs, we should be able to pass. Also, my testers seem to be more chill during the road test as well.
Agreed they are way more chill if you make it past the circuit, I saw a bunch of people drop their foot during the U-turn, but only one person was called out for it. Congrats @ryzen4484 and see you on the road!
Hey buddy, congrats on your 2B license.. as this was 10 months ago, in 2 months time u can upgrade to 2A, don't worry it wont be the same proceess as 2B. 2A and 2 will be only in circuit. If im not wrong 3 riding sim, 1 theory lesson and abt 2 or 3 practical lesson and last of all practical test. Abt 1 month plus to complete everything for 1st attempt of the test. I think vespa 300 will be your next target, if not, triumph 400 scrambler is something else too..
when i passed my test years back , we were all gathered in a room & a guy was so happy to and was talking about which buy he's getting , only for the instructor to call his number and told him that there was a mistake in calculating his points , and he failed . u never really passed until u sign the green/pink form ( i cant rmbr what color it was )
hey bro, not sure if you recall but i think we crossed paths in BBDC and you complimented my retro looking shoei helmet 😂 hope all’s been well with you!! great video it was hilarious 🤣
Kay, that's hilarious I googled the helmet and this definitely looks like something I would compliment! All is well and really appreciate your kind words, hope you're enjoying your 2B life!
Hahahaha lesson 5 is where it starts to all come together, you’re a legend Soliman, I really hope you keep at it and get that license, doesn’t matter how long it takes just awesome that you haven’t given up
You gotta just start dude! Everyone will fail some of the challenges because it is new, and it is not meant to be easy, but that is all part of the learning process, not a reflection of you. Passing and failing are all just practice, and if you simply start and just keep that in mind, I’ll see you on the roads eventually 👊🏽
@@rohitwonder Just enrolled with CDC last night. Thanks for the encouragement! Any tips on booking slots? Seems they are mostly taken by the time I looked at the availability last night
got my class 2 licence back in 2006, its better to fail in the circuit than to have something happen on the road. i used to think the instructors are there to fail us but that was not the case, the main thing they would want to see are the techniques they taught you and one most important aspect i feel, is how confident you are in it. if i am the tester, every single one that i let them pass if they are not fit to might risk their life out there on the road so its definitely not easy for them. anyway once you are out on the road what you learn gets deleted in your brain lol
i can convert my english Filipino non-pro license right? now you got me thinking about getting a vespa. i have one back home, would be nice to have it here too 😅👌
hey can I know what is your height? I just started my 2b classes a few days ago and my dream bike is also a Vespa! I am afraid that I will look abit too big on it as I am about 188 cm tall
Nice video sexy indian banana hahaha. Just started my 2B at CDC. Finished the theory lessons and waiting to pass my internal evaluation before the theory test. Will start practical lessons next week! How does the Vespa ride compared to the bikes at the school? and how much did it cost? also any rain gear to recommend? Thanks for the insight. Mentally preparing myself now to expect failure but to bounce back!
My TP test next month too. 8.01 accumulated 8 points for excessive wobbling and going slightly slow around S course. Dont know if im prepared or need more RC. 😮
I was the king of wobbling apparently LOL. I advise as much RC as possible as I kept learning new stuff with each session as long as I was looking for more technical details! Good luck @jon8796!
Bruh I am struggling for my 2B, I failed my 2.02 TWICE! I only passed on my 3rd try. I had to tell myself, in this deep, go big or go home. It's not easy to keep morale up when I keep failing my lessons. Any advice for me please?
Hey William, first of all good on you for going back despite failing. Here’s a few things I learned that might be helpful for you to keep in mind. First of all, everyone who got their license fails - either classes, or the tests, some parts more than others, it’s definitely part of the process so you need to accept it as part of the process, nature of the beast. It’s not unique to you or me. Secondly, this is a machine that you are learning to operate, it is not a reflection of you or your value, it is a technical skill and if you are struggling or failing a class, you just need to really really really understand the technique so you can adjust. What usually causes the specific issue (wrong posture, eyeline, speed, gripping, etc), and by process of elimination and talking to the teachers, understand which one is causing your issues. Every time I felt stuck, it turned out there was something about the technique that made it much easier that I didn’t know at the time. Find out what that is. Third, ultimately you need to be really comfortable doing these techniques during the tests, which is stressful of course, so repeating classes until you are confident is a very good thing, don’t see it as failing, it is practicing until you are so proficient you can take on the next technique. Because the skills all build on each other. It’s a long process but stick with it and time will pass and before you know it, you will be a licensed rider overpaying for COE like the rest of us! Keep us posted how you go
