Anything that resembled a Jedi or a force user is executed. Even if they were exiled as priests, or chose a life of solitude away from the temple, they died.
Anyone that uses the force or wields a lightsaber would be targeted by the clones. Doesn't matter if she's part of the army or not. In the Marvel Vader comic run Dark Lord of the Sith, Vader gets targeted by a group of clones while chasing Jocasta Nu out of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. It was very recently after Order 66 and shows that the clones can't discern between Jedi and Sith, they will kill anyone with a lightsaber.
Nick Wong anakin was targeted. By any clones who weren’t apart of the 501st. The 501st was given specific instructions that darth Vader (anakin) was friendly and should not be targeted. They were loyal to him and only him
I agree also that Rex wasn't just a mindless clone, so I also think it would have been good if he just fought against the chip with his mind. However, if they want to take out the chip, then fine by me also.
The big question that pops into my head is why he would only stick to advising Wolffe about the inhibitor chips, but not Cody? I mean, of course, its meant to be that way to look with how it's following through the story of Revenge of the Sith but in regards to making sense with the familiarity of Rex being close with Cody as brothers in arms the sensible part in telling the story would be in the script is that of all the clones Rex knows personally Cody would be the first of who he would desperately contact to advise him of the big warning he discovers. I'm also really disappointed with how Disney had just cut this season short only because they wanna get this series over with as soon as they want because it would be a waste of time for their people to be working on. This season was supposed to feature the rise of Boba Fett, the final story of Asaj Ventress, and some other arcs that featured Obi-Wan and Anakin going on more missions together.
Rei/ZERO The Silver Fanged Knight that’s what the bad batch arc shows though. Rex sees how Cody doesn’t think like him. That Cody wouldn’t trust his instincts and probably wouldn’t believe Rex. Just like when Cody didn’t believe echo was alive and Rex was just chasing a dream
First of all thank you for your work and what you do here it is appreciated!!! I think this would be a pretty neat resolution to why/how Rex goes on sans chip. He is injured for sure on Mandalore however rather than Mando medics fiddling around with it and his brain, it will be Ashoka using the force to at least stabilize him at which point she will be so in tuned with the force that she will feel the dark side or at least some malevolence from the chip, and at that she will use the force to deactivate, disconnect, and then with the help of the force surgically remove the chip. At which point they can do whatever planning needed to fake their own deaths and...
Obi wan: it would not have been a victory without the clones Palpitine: *executes order 66* Palpitine: it would not have been a victory without the clones Obi wan: I did not see that coming
I think that Rex will have his chip in while order 66 drops and he’ll see his clones turn on Ashoka which causes him to struggle and have inner confusion all at once. The only reason this happens is via his past experiences and memories over the war with his first meeting that awol clone on that planet where he got shot. The clone who betrayed them on Christophisis, character development the umbara arc. Then he’ll realize what happens with fives and it’ll all make sense and he’ll immediately think to the chip and rip it out so it doesn’t overtake him. The only reason I believe this happens is because of his past experiences. Season 1 Rex would totally give in. Season 7 Rex not so much.
This is how it will go i believe: Rex removes his chip right before order 66. He overhear a clone listening to Palpatine saying "Execute order 66" and see how the clones starts going after Ahsoka. (since non red lightsaber = jedi) He quickly leaves the place and starts looking for Ahsoka before the clones gets to her first. *(Edit: Rex maybe doesnt get the chance to hear "execute order 66" and gets confused why the clones wants to kill her and then he hears "Good soldiers follow orders" and he realise that Fives were right about the chip.* Wolffe will have his chip during order 66 but he will watch Plo Koon get killed by his own starfighters which will make him get ptsd of them being close friends and then make him abondon Republic and meet up with Rex. Greg.. I don't know? Maybe his chip got broken from the explosion when he escaped/survived and then he meets up with Rex somehow.
So in Rebels when Rex said "I didn't betray my Jedi... Wolf, Gregor and I, all removed are control chips." Is that just not true anymore? I'm confused.
At the time ahsoka wasn't a formal general. She was not apart of Republic army/ jedi order. She was an advisor as what Anakin says in the start of the ark.. You could take it as when Rex's says that he never betrayed his general, he's talking about Anakin.
I honestly believe his chip was removed after Fives death. My reason for suspecting that is due to the way he was acting while searching for Echo. He was not himself and seemed more jumpy, alert and just overall different.
Well that’s explained with the padme and anakin scene and also connects to what giraffe lady said in the Fives arc. With the creative thinking and how they advancing and growing. Rex is the most advanced clone out there because of being with anakin for soo long he is probably the only Jedi to really show his true emotions (and have a wife).
Youry Descardes did you not watch the video? He already had suspicions when fives told him, and he’ll eventually find out officially sometime on mandalore.
I always believed that Rex never thought Fives was crazy to begin with, and had his compliance chip removed the next chance he got after Fives' death. Meaning when Sidious gives the order to him, he'll pretend to obey with a "yes." but, then warn Ahsoka, and then the two will have to escape. and, it'll be mighty sad for Rex having to gun down his brothers once Order 66 takes place. Either way, Rex will have to kill someone he once fought alongside during the war.

Actually Ashoka removed Rex's chip some minutes after the execution of the order 66. This happens in the end of the episode 11 "Shattered". Gregor and Wolffe isn't shown in the episode that's why we don't know when Gregor and Wolffe removed their inhibitor chips.
Nah i think he removed his chip shortly after Five’s died that’s what I think I feel like it happened off screen where he removed it and he will explain how he did it on screen.
JediKnight99 true that but maybe the scar healed cause the Five’s ARC happened a bit ago and if he were to removed it shortly after Five’s died chances are the scar would have healed by then or he could have used something to heal it much quickly because their technology is way way far superior to our own
The Mandalorian I get your point but why can you see it in Star Wars Rebels then very visible on his Head? 😅 Its seventeen years later and you can still see it 😅
JediKnight99 oof nvm you right bruh also why am I picking up on some attitude I just saying that cause it’s hard to read comments and know what the persons feeling but I just feel like I’m picking up on some attitude either way is we your point I didn’t remember cause I only watched Rebels once and it was only when they announced Rex was coming back
What I don't understand about Order 66 is that Sideous executed the orders to the various commanders personally, but it, as far as I know, it didn't get transmitted instantly to all the millions of clones, so how is it that almost instantly, every clone that didn't personally see Palpatine's message, turned on the Jedi How was this possible We saw this in Revenge of the Sith when only one clone pilot receives the message but the others fire on Plo Koon Cody ordered the AT-TE to fire on Obi-Wan Neyo and his companion turn on Stass Allie And Gree and another try to go for Yoda As well as Bacara and Ki Adi Mundi and Bly and Ayla Secura There simply wasn't enough time between issuing the order and the entire GAR implementing it So how did every clone get the order without everyone ACTUALLY getting the order?
Its covered in the books and extended lore that clones have sound sealed helmets and a varied setting radio. By using the helmets interfact the clone can switch between 'loud speaker' (speaking) - peer to peer, between clones for issuing of certain orders or just general comm chatter - and a wideband used for the mass issue of orders. Its likely that upon the commanders and captains receiving the order it was spread upon wideband to all troops of that Legion or Company. As for the pilots, they are deemed to be a higher skilled clone, often undergoing recon training, aswell as the normal training of a clone. Due to this its likely that the transmission was sent to the pilots directly, as they had slightly more autonamy than a normal clone, leaving them no commander per-se. Aditional Notes: - The holo net can transmit to multiple places at once in real time, as seen in council holocron meetings, where even holo-jedi in physical meetings can still see other holo-jedi. Its like streaming your face to 4 different computers on skype. - Sideous was playing the war from the very very very beginning, he was taught to be patient, to let the opponent play their cards. There are many instances where Sideous sets up either the GAR or CIS to fail, or succeed. He is the dungeon master. On the topic, if Obi Wan didnt contact the council, but instead the jedi reported to the chancellor its likely he would have still ordered Ahsoka back, to complete his purge, as it later hurts him in the long run. Something he tries to prevent. - On the above note, the ships, armour, mandalorians like Skirata and Fett, and various other things are all in some way linked back to Sideous. Finger in EVERY pie. -There is the ability to store that holo transmission in ships and helmets, to be played to the clone when a signal is sent. TLDR; The holonet can transmit to many places at once at one single point, especially with Sideous' power and influence, and position. And Sideous is the boss, who runs everything, the good the bad and the ugly, if he wants it done all at once, it gets done all at once. Or he places the peices and waits, and sends one signal to kill the jedi, after years of being right under their nose doing it all. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk :D
It would be interesting to see if the clones of the half 501st were informed by now Commander Rex to remove their inhibitor chips like he did. And for all those clones to stay loyal towards Asoka / Rex after order 66. Then for them to start a coup towards the empire even if short lived. Idk I just think it would be cool to see some more clones not actually execute order 66. It would be cool if those same clones went on to join the rebels too. We already know Rex, Gregor and Wolfe did. But maybe Rex could have pursued his men to do the same after seeing everything that happened to fives and more. Also what if the half of the 501st went back to Coruscant to fight to the death at the jedi temple along side the jedi and jedi temple guards against their former brothers of the 501st basically like a civil war scenario between the clones and 501st. Maybe even see Rex and Asoka try and stop anakin / Darth vader but ultimately fail falling to the lower levels of coruscant and eventually going their separate ways until rebels.
If you’re talking about Ursa Wren (who Bo-Katan called while in the gunship) then the armorer would have been able to give din accurate information about the Jedi. Especially since she met at least three of them and none of them were her enemy or looked like yoda.
That was Ursa wren Sabine’s mother, and she definitely isn’t the blacksmith because their armor has horns on it meaning she Severed under maul and Ursa was a part of death watch.
your are all missing the point entirely lol stop being pedantic lmao it just sounds like the same woman is doing both voices lol you guys are like the punctuation warriors on here hahaha star wars isnt real life, there is an actor doing these voices.... LMAO it could well be the same woman
have you all forgotten how many voices anakins actor did in the first few seasons? or maces actor? from your answer 1 voice = 1 person and that is just not the case in star wars cartoons is it lol pedantic retards lmao
In Star Wars Rebels Rex, and Wolfe stated that they had already removed their chips and never turned against their Jedi’s. So, Rex’s chip had to be removed before his invasion of Mandalore. However, it’s safe to say that the rest of the 501st probably still has their chips.
I’d love a scene where Rex and the other clone commanders all have a hologram conference where Rex is trying to convince them of the chips. And they all have a big discussion about how unlikely that is and Rex tries turning to Cody for back up but even Cody says it’s a stretch and that perhaps the war is taking its toll on him. One by one the other commanders will turn off their holograms except Wolfe and Gregor who both explain that they believe him or at least that they’ll consider what he’s saying. I’d personally also like to see other clones take their chips out but then be killed or go their seperate ways after order 66.
I have a feeling that he will remove it after talking to maul and then he will try to contact as many clones as possible but couldn't reace some of them because they where in battle or some didn't trust him
It’s funny they hid his model in the back because he had no jet pack rendered on. He actually jumps out of the gunship in the background without a jet pack.
I remember that once Dave Filoni tweeted that he doesn't know if Rex did Order 66 or not I think. So I think that Rex almost did it but fought against it, and Ahsoka takes him to the ship's med bay, and remove the chip before he does Order 66
Captain Rex: Troops stand down! Clone Troops: we have our orders sir, the Jedi have betrayed us. Captain Rex: They’re not the enemy! Commander Cody: lower your weapon Rex. Now! Captain Rex: Cody not you too! Snap out of it! Commander Cody: if your not with us your against us! Captain Rex: So be it. (Shots Fired)
I originally thought that Ehco was going to be the key to Rex removing his chip, because he knew the separatists plans, but then he went with the Bad Batch.....
I had assumed he already removed it, but noticed no scar. I think we’ll find out in the next episode because the synopsis for episode 11 says order 66 is given while Ahsoka & Rex are on their way back to Coruscant on a destroyer with Maul captured so he’s got just a bit over one episode to get rid of it.
Clone that have and will take out their inhibitor chips: 1. Rex 2. Gregor 3. Wolfe 4. Echo 7. Tech 8. Crosshairs Only ones I can name at the moment. These are Just Guesses.
What I always thought was that since Gregor was probably unconscious he couldn't execute order 66. Maybe Rex will get knocked out or something to sort of set up how gregor didnt kill anyone. Another thing with gregor is that everyone thought he was dead so he didnt get the order from palpatine. Just some thoughts but im really excited for the new episodes.
I wonder if Rex will only hint at removing the chip when at some point in battle,Rex will just like touch his head. Which will let us know he already had is chip removed.
@@smorgington yes but during the clone wars he was presumed dead after a "sacrifice" and then was in rebels. But at that point in time they did not know he was alive so they couldn't tell him about the chip
It happened before the siege, probably with people not believing him about echo or even before then. Remember he is very loyal to his clone brothers and was directly bothered with 5s. I hope we get to see it at least a recollection.
I believe that things won’t go the way you’ve said, seeing as the clone occupation of Mandalore is over now they have Maul and order 66 will occur during their flight back to coruscant. Now what I’m about to state has very little chance of happening but I speculate that Rex will have his chip sheared off by a piece of shrapnel somehow, it would explain how crude Rex’s cut is in Rebels.
I felt so bad and sad for all the clones that died and they just after changing their helmets for ashoka shows how much they like her and missed her and its even worst that order 66 is about to happen

Who’s here after Rex tried to Blast Ashoka
Bruhhhh crazy
Christian Bowman Lowkey has a gut feeling he would carry it out
It was amazing
Just like when Cody didn’t believe echo was alive and Rex was just chasing a dream
bonjanglevash Good thinking
bonjanglevash That’s what im sayin
First of all thank you for your work and what you do here it is appreciated!!!
I think this would be a pretty neat resolution to why/how Rex goes on sans chip. He is injured for sure on Mandalore however rather than Mando medics fiddling around with it and his brain, it will be Ashoka using the force to at least stabilize him at which point she will be so in tuned with the force that she will feel the dark side or at least some malevolence from the chip, and at that she will use the force to deactivate, disconnect, and then with the help of the force surgically remove the chip. At which point they can do whatever planning needed to fake their own deaths and...
this did NOT age well

Palpitine: it would not have been a victory without the clones
Obi wan: I did not see that coming
Well....... This video aged extremely, extremely, extremely well.
I wish all the Clone Wars season's were released again on DVD and Blue-Ray.
Jonathan Garcia Slick betrayed the Jedi to be ironic enough
I swear if they play the same song from RoTS that starts as order 66 happens I’m gonna be a broken mess
It's called Anakin's Betrayal. And yeah, I'll be a mess too
Anakin's betrayal gets me in my feels just listening to it on its own
This is how it will go i believe:
Rex removes his chip right before order 66. He overhear a clone listening to Palpatine saying "Execute order 66" and see how the clones starts going after Ahsoka. (since non red lightsaber = jedi)
He quickly leaves the place and starts looking for Ahsoka before the clones gets to her first. *(Edit: Rex maybe doesnt get the chance to hear "execute order 66" and gets confused why the clones wants to kill her and then he hears "Good soldiers follow orders" and he realise that Fives were right about the chip.*
Wolffe will have his chip during order 66 but he will watch Plo Koon get killed by his own starfighters which will make him get ptsd of them being close friends and then make him abondon Republic and meet up with Rex.
I believed that at first until I noticed there was no scar. I guess we'll see.
I wonder if Rex would try to contact Cody before Oder 66.
Josh Hernandez Rex already knew Cody wouldn’t remove his chip.
Gabe Taylor How did Rex know?
Youry Descardes did you not watch the video? He already had suspicions when fives told him, and he’ll eventually find out officially sometime on mandalore.
I always believed that Rex never thought Fives was crazy to begin with,
and had his compliance chip removed the next chance he got after Fives' death.
Meaning when Sidious gives the order to him, he'll pretend to obey with a "yes."
but, then warn Ahsoka, and then the two will have to escape.
and, it'll be mighty sad for Rex having to gun down his brothers once Order 66 takes place.
Either way, Rex will have to kill someone he once fought alongside during the war.
Well you can trust me
Ok don’t have to laugh mistakes happen
hi! i did the art at 2:44. i don’t allow my art for reposts or to be used in videos unless i’m asked and credit is given. would i be able to have credit given in the description please? and i recognise more art from some of my friends too and no credit has been given.
I think Rex removed the chip even before the bad batch storyline because he was acting very emotional while discussing echo with the bad batch
New episode tells you straight that in fact ahsoka...
Clone Wars is so good. Now it’s gonna be sad seeing “side characters” getting killed off
Actually Ashoka removed Rex's chip some minutes after the execution of the order 66. This happens in the end of the episode 11 "Shattered". Gregor and Wolffe isn't shown in the episode that's why we don't know when Gregor and Wolffe removed their inhibitor chips.
This video was made before that bit of Ahsoka Novel was decanonized.
@@darthmortem585 Yes, I know.
I agree my friend love your vids keep it up
It hurts
When Rex is down he is injured and then Asoka helps him find medics to help with the wound. Or it has been out of his heat for a long time
I wish they do an episode showing how gregor, wolffe and rex got together!!!
Darth Sidious: Execute order 66
Commander Rex: I shouldn't
Darth Sidious: *Dew It*
Nah i think he removed his chip shortly after Five’s died that’s what I think I feel like it happened off screen where he removed it and he will explain how he did it on screen.
The Mandalorian But shouldnt he have a scar then? At least i did not see it in the last episode from Season 7. I think its still inside his Head. 😅
😅 Its seventeen years later and you can still see it 😅
JediKnight99 oof nvm you right bruh also why am I picking up on some attitude I just saying that cause it’s hard to read comments and know what the persons feeling but I just feel like I’m picking up on some attitude either way is we your point I didn’t remember cause I only watched Rebels once and it was only when they announced Rex was coming back
Ahsoka removed it
HELLO THERE
You are a bold one
What I don't understand about Order 66 is that Sideous executed the orders to the various commanders personally, but it, as far as I know, it didn't get transmitted instantly to all the millions of clones, so how is it that almost instantly, every clone that didn't personally see Palpatine's message, turned on the Jedi
How was this possible
We saw this in Revenge of the Sith when only one clone pilot receives the message but the others fire on Plo Koon
Cody ordered the AT-TE to fire on Obi-Wan
Neyo and his companion turn on Stass Allie
And Gree and another try to go for Yoda
As well as Bacara and Ki Adi Mundi and Bly and Ayla Secura
There simply wasn't enough time between issuing the order and the entire GAR implementing it
So how did every clone get the order without everyone ACTUALLY getting the order?
Aditional Notes:
- The holo net can transmit to multiple places at once in real time, as seen in council holocron meetings, where even holo-jedi in physical meetings can still see other holo-jedi.
You were wrong.
Its obvious what happened. Just like the famous scene from Death Note:
He took the Inhibitor Chip... *and ATE it*
Welp he almost killed ashoka
I loved this episode of star wars the clone wars
I wonder how the bad Bach and echo did order 66
Remember how much of a wreck that rex was when fives died imagine how he will be when he has to shoot his own brothers to help ahsoka
that mando bo katan was talking to at the start of the invasion had the same voice as the blacksmith in the new mandalorian series ? hmmmmm
Do you mean the one who she contacted via hologram? If so, that was Ursa Wren.
It’s gunna be sad when they show order 66 again and with the relationship with the 501st and 212th in the clone wars since 2008 and from today
In Star Wars Rebels Rex, and Wolfe stated that they had already removed their chips and never turned against their Jedi’s. So, Rex’s chip had to be removed before his invasion of Mandalore. However, it’s safe to say that the rest of the 501st probably still has their chips.
Palpatine: Rex the time has come to execute order 66 Rex: no f*ck you *hangs up*
I’d love a scene where Rex and the other clone commanders all have a hologram conference where Rex is trying to convince them of the chips.
Star Wars Comics 👊😁
Amazing artwork during the video!
I would rather the entire Torrent company die in battle or defend Ahsoka, than see them execute order 66.
He is not Captain Rex
NOW
Commander Rex
I have a feeling that he will remove it after talking to maul and then he will try to contact as many clones as possible but couldn't reace some of them because they where in battle or some didn't trust him
Wait I just realized where was Jesse in the episode
Joseph Perez he was in the gunship you can see him for a little bit behind Rex
Joseph Perez he was in there. just have to pay close attention. you can see him in the gunship while they’re en route to mandalore
Surgery
Darth sidious: execute order 66
Rex: yes,lord sidious
Captain Rex: Troops stand down!
Clone Troops: we have our orders sir, the Jedi have betrayed us.
Captain Rex: They’re not the enemy!
Commander Cody: lower your weapon Rex. Now!
Captain Rex: Cody not you too! Snap out of it!
Commander Cody: if your not with us your against us!
Captain Rex: So be it.
(Shots Fired)
while order 66 theme playing.
That’s cool but Cody is on Utapau
What if Palpatine sends Cody and the 212th troops to hunt down Rex on Mandalor.
Clone that have and will take out their inhibitor chips:
1. Rex
2. Gregor
3. Wolfe
4. Echo
7. Tech
8. Crosshairs
Only ones I can name at the moment. These are Just Guesses.
Fives: am I a joke 2 u?
Tap: am I a joke 2 u?
99: am I a joke 2 u?
*All the clones that died ant weren't active at order 66* : am I a joke 2 u?
Whelp this is awkward
Didn’t Rex remove his chip after 5’s told him about them. Pretty sure that’s when he removed his.
I am so excited for Rex to realize that Fives wasn’t actually insane
What I always thought was that since Gregor was probably unconscious he couldn't execute order 66. Maybe Rex will get knocked out or something to sort of set up how gregor didnt kill anyone. Another thing with gregor is that everyone thought he was dead so he didnt get the order from palpatine. Just some thoughts but im really excited for the new episodes.
I wonder what Echo and the Bad Batch did when Order 66 was issued
I don’t know, I have a bad feeling about this...
I wonder if Rex will only hint at removing the chip when at some point in battle,Rex will just like touch his head. Which will let us know he already had is chip removed.
How can he let Gregor know Gregor is presumed dead at the moment
He’s in Rebels bruh
@@smorgington yes but during the clone wars he was presumed dead after a "sacrifice" and then was in rebels. But at that point in time they did not know he was alive so they couldn't tell him about the chip
It happened before the siege, probably with people not believing him about echo or even before then. Remember he is very loyal to his clone brothers and was directly bothered with 5s. I hope we get to see it at least a recollection.
Who’s here after watching episode 11.........
I remember he's no longer a captain anymore is name is Commander rex not trying to bug I just trying to remind you
He'll always be Captain Rex to us.
only is Commander Rex but however he's referred he likes to be referred to as Captain Rex because it's rank that is more used to
Sidious - The time has come. Execute Order 66
Rex - No, I don't think I will
I believe that things won’t go the way you’ve said, seeing as the clone occupation of Mandalore is over now they have Maul and order 66 will occur during their flight back to coruscant. Now what I’m about to state has very little chance of happening but I speculate that Rex will have his chip sheared off by a piece of shrapnel somehow, it would explain how crude Rex’s cut is in Rebels.
