Glad im not the only one who feels this way about Liberation ! It's become my absolute favorite off the album 😍
I prefer "Euphoria" because I'm a pervert who loved Simulation Theory, but Liberation is still awesome because I also happen to love The Resistance 👍

I literally heard history of rock in this album!!! Green day, SOAD, Queen, skillet...Matt said it's like best of Muse every genre they made, and it's true!

I can't choose favourite, cause they are so vastly different, but i always was soft to the spacey songs like Verona, it just puts me in such creative mindset, it just gets me in "the zone" immediately"

I completely agree with you an muse changing, I get why some people are falling out of love with them but one of my favourite things about them is that every album is vastly different and every album is coherent and consistent with itself, even the latest album which is meant to be a mix of loads of genres feels consistent and has the same unique sound

Loved your reaction! Especially during Liberation. That was my exact reaction 😩 Kill or Be Killed is my fav though 🔥 btw the album is not telling a story whatsoever. Most of the songs are pretty political though. With others like Ghosts and Verona and the Halloween song being about totally different things lol

I feel like with "Compliance" the repetitiveness and pop-ish sound plays very much into the theme of the lyrics. It's likely to be played on the radio and not being liked by Muse enthusiasts.

This is one of the simplest songs I believe they've ever done. Very basic guitar etc. Nonetheless it's a great fun song.
i find myself smiling more over the silly lyrics than the actual songs, although i do enjoy almost all of them.

Idk if it’s just me but I get instant “The Killers” vibes from “Euphoria”
I find this album a bit patchy . . .
But I will say - when it hits its great!
For me:
1. Won't stand down
2. Kill or be killed
3. We are fucking fucked
4. You make feel like it's halloween
5. Verona
6. Will of the people
7. Compliance
8. Liberation
9. Euphoria
10. Ghosts
Some of it I find a little predictable and paint by numbers . . . And Matts lyricism is getting worse with age.
But the best moments of this album remind me exactly why I fell in love with Muse. Bold, experimental - always happy to say "never mind what the fans want, what do we want to try". I've always respected artists who push their fans by not pandering to them. Never mind us - statistically we're probably morons. Do something bold and challenge us with it.
This album at least attempts that - I think it could have been bolder and would have been better for it - but at least it tries to push us.
