This was the best episode I've ever seen they used Andre the Giant to play Bigfoot . During the disco Era of the 1970's there was also a Bigfoot and UFO craze going on and people were reporting sightings so they decided to make movies and T.V shows on them . It was a crazy time I'll never forget it !
No they didn't it was Andre the Giant I know this for a fact I was 14 years old at the time of that episode . They had to use him because of his height at 7'ft 4" inches tall he could sell the scene easily . Lyle Alzado as mean as he was on the football field didn't have the size or the look . Not only that at the end of the episode his name came up proven that he did play that part so there your proof !
@creepshow I don't care I'm trying to tell you it was not him I don't how old you are but it was not him . Rent the episode again and at the end read the cast and I guarantee you Andre the Giant name is going to show up !
I loved watching this show as a kid with my parents and now, at 46, I wonder how making a bionic man run in slow motion is actually a bionic man running super fast. Lol
I watched this faithfully growing up!! The 70s were the best time to be a kid!! I heard when I was a kid that Lee Majors was originally from Michigan where I lived. I never knew my real father and use to always wish Lee was my real dad lol..Even now hearing the background music gives me goosebumps 💯❤️❤️❤️.. Lee Majors and Lindsay Wagner were my idols back then💯❤️❤️
I was eleven when this episode came out. I remember thinking that the writer of this series didn't understand physics at all... even I knew then that his bionic arm would rip right off his body the first time he stressed it too much, which opportunities occurred in every episode. The acting & production in the '70's is best remembered due to it's cheezy-ness. 😃 I'm thinking Captain Kirk, Bruce Lee, Fantasy Island, etc.
Man this brings back memories. Lol. I used to be the six million dollar man by the way. Not too many knew that, but my brothers, mom, and dad sure knew it by gum! I could even run sixty hours a mile too!

They said it looked silly when they speeded him up to look like he’s running. 60 mph. My inner nerd still remembers them saying it’s not possible for this to happen (Steve running 60 mph) as his legs would outrun his upper torso. Never really understood that.
@@KD-qs5pt Dear Inner Nerd. My question was rethorical because I knew the answer beforehand. And 'they' were right. It all has to do with mass, momentum and inertia. I'm a former sabre fencer (I'm 75 now) and I can vouch for the fact that you can't run really fast unless you're tilting forward to counterbalance the heavier more massive torso vs the lighter less massive legs. It's hard to explain but at 60mph, Steve would have to be leaning forward almost horizontally. Try to 'visualize it' by watching this video: ruclips.net/video/ezoZfZK75zA/видео.html and take note of the leaning forward as the speed increases... You may want to view the video a second time with the speed to a minimum. Or try it yourself by standing, then explosively start running as fast as you can: at first, because it's heavyer than your legs, you torso wants to stay there, then it starts to 'follow' you but you would fall backward, so you have to lean forward until it's in line with your center of gravity. The faster you run, the more you have to lean forward..
Even to this day, Andre The Giant made the best looking Bigfoot, he looked so real, using his own hair, no wig, made his actual footprint casts, they also were used in The Incredible Hulk pilot episode, yep👍✌️
@@kennyhuskisson2684 That's why they used him because he had the right height and weight to look the part . He had to convince the watchers that he was Bigfoot !

Lee Majors was a television star for three decades with Big Valley in the 1960s, Six Million Dollar Man in the 70s, and Fall Guy in the 80s.
He still is.
It does not get any better than the Bigfoot episodes on the Six Million Dollar Man.
Genius how they convinced us that slow motion meant super sonic speed!
The music helps relate that as well. The juxtaposition of the slow motion against the uptempo bongo rhythms give it a surreal feel
It emphasized the drama. Had they sped the film up, he would have looked like a Benny Hill sketch.
It was too fast for the human eye, so they slowed it down!
Oscar Goldman lied to us
because back then if they speeded up the motion it would look like an episode of Benny Hill.
