There’s a very subtle detail about this scene that not many people notice the first time around, and that’s when Genie is talking to Aladdin’s unconscious body they made Genie really sound like he’s underwater rather than normal like in the original movie
It's quite possible that Animated Genie has been underwater many times before, so he probably adapted to it. MAYBE he has a little bit of mermaid in him, I'm not sure?
Will Smith sells this scene. You can hear the fear in his voice as soon as Genie realises what's going on and he maintains that concern for Aladdin until he knows he's alright.

Aladdin never died. So Genie didn't "bring him back" from dead. He just saved him from dying. Like it was mentioned a lot in the movie: "lot of grey area"
In both versions, Jafar went through a lot of trouble to get rid of Aladdin when he could have just brainwashed him with that OP staff and told him to leave.
He knew through a power the original staff never had, the power to reverse a wish to expose an identity. If jafar taps a certain way and to the left, prince Ali is exposed as Aladdin Tapping straight down and towards the ground sends him to the ends of the earth
The animated version is better because even though Jafar didn’t know it was Aladdin, he was completely willing to kill him. It shows that his hatred can be stretched to everyone, even when he doesn’t know their true identities
Yeah the animated version of Jafar is a lot better. But I was really happy with this movie. Part of that might just be cause this Aladdin is really cute, but still 😂
In this movie as well jafar did not knew that Prince ali is aladdin. He was just assuming as Iago have seen Prince ali and jasmine on a magic carpet. And jafar have saw a magic carpet saving aladdin's live when jafar threw aladdin from the cave of wonder. Now jafar does not knows that if ali is aladdin or not that's why he says that if prince ali is really prince ali then he will not be saved but if he gets saved then jafar will know that he is aladdin and he have the lamp. That's why after throwing him off jafar looks for some time at the sea if he gets up or not. As he does not, jafar thinks he will not anymore thinking that Prince ali for whom jasmine was falling has been removed from his path of success. jafar wants to marry jasmine to become sultan not because he loves her.
In the original version of Aladdin, Jafar ambushed Prince Ali and dumped him in the sea until Genie saved him, then Jafar found out that Prince Ali is Aladdin.
Yeah. That scene was better in my view because Aladdin was in a much more precarious position. He was chained to a wee metal ball attached to his feet that was pretty heavy and he was gagged and he sunk a lot deeper. It was certainly more dramatic than this remake drowning scene
@@aaronmaguire4678 I am glad to find someone who agrees with me 👍 The drowning scene in the animated movie was like my favourite scene. So suspenseful. I was really disappointed with the remake.
