Thanks for the lesson! I find getting to a believable tree or mass of trees takes me quite a bit of time. I'll design on paper going forward before painting, which will make me add more thinking time to my process.

Yes, trees; where most of us fail, and some do catastrophically, if they use that fan brush of theirs, ala Bob Ross, LOL. My "trees", in Tucson are columnar as you recall, green giants with arms, LOL. And the wispy ones which can't be made wispy enough as in Mesquites and Palo Verdes. Miss the confers and aspens of my old plein air painting haunts in the Sierra Nevada though!! ;D
