You’re one of the few channels I watch that gets an automatic LIKE as soon as I open the video, just because I know I’ll like the video. You’re real and relatable and extremely “unscripted” which is what makes your videos great. Thank you for what you do!
Same here.
I do the same thing I hit the LIKE button first thing !! You are a down to earth blue collared worker ! I can't wait to watch your show after dinner on Wednesday nights !
Same thing here!
I just recently found your videos. Haven't watched one I didn't love. You are awesome
Ditto to the positive comments. And yeah this man is a very likable and capable doer . Always speaks well to a man's character when he cares about all creatures great and small who happen to show up there. Always mentions his Mother and respects her.
If people don’t like a video nothing forces then to watch it, I consider you a friend and I am interested in what you do as a person . Thank you for sharing and stay well my friend
I couldn't agree more. Why even make a negative comment. Just change the channel and move on with your life.
Oh, the joys of home ownership! This video looks like me at my house. Thanks for keeping your channel real!
I love your channel. I don’t care if your doing chores or working on cars or whatever. I love watching what you do.
Awesome and outstanding as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
It was very satisfying to see you finished Daddy's greenhouse, really nice you do so many things in his honor, Love it
All I could think of when you were skirting that tree was the squirrels were sitting up in a tree, planning, coordinating, and laughing at you. For some reason in my mind, their squirrel voices sound just like those chipmunks Chip and Dale, with British accents. They were probably saying they willl just chew through the netting like they always do.
I think the seeds of the fruit you knocked off may be ok to plant to make another tree, if they are not totally green. Ge the ripest looking ones. I saw my Mama grow a few trees, so most of this is from memory. I was always chosen to help her, since I was the youngest kid. She would use the seeds of the ones the birds or critters dropped on the ground, usually they were a bit over ripe, late summer usually, but she would take the flesh off and wash off the seeds, removing the pulp.
The seeds need to dry out, so she layed them on a window sill for a few days. After they got dried, she would crack open the pit and remove the seeds inside. They look like almonds. Then she would float them to test if the seeds are good. If they sank to the bottom of the glass of water, they are probably good seeds. She always said they night not run out as good as the originals, since they are usually hybrids. A few trees made some really good plums though. We live in Oklahoma, probably not the best climate for fruit trees. Some of them took several years to grow plums.
When she got her good seeds, she would get them ready to plant. She would take the good seeds, wrap them in a damp paper towel, covering them over. She would stick the seed packet bags in the fridge in a ziploc bag or something similar over winter, then plant them in the spring. I think they have to go dormant over winter. We would open the seed paper towel packets, and some had some roots popping out. In the spring, when she planted them, she always stuck a few seeds in the hole to have a better chance to let them sprout. It takes a lot of patience, but we had fruit trees all around our yard. All but the apple tree turned out good, she said it worked until it got hit by lightning, long before i was bron. We had peaches, plums, pears, ans some figs even. I miss having all that stuff. We had a tiny 3 bedrrom, old wood frame house, but a huge garden and fruit trees everywhere.
I love your channel. I'll watch whatever you post on both of your channels. Keep up the great work! Chad
Second that
@@Gmt400- Third that!!
Thanks for sharing you are a inspiration. I really appreciate what you share. Knowledge is power. Thank you again.
When you fire your assistant, you’re gonna have to fire your handy man also!!! I don’t care what anyone says. I enjoyed watching you do some work around the house and shop.
I'm like one of the other people who commented. Before I hit "Play", I hit the like button. Great channel.
Great content Chad we would watch your video no matter what your working on keep on doing what you want we'll be looking forward to the next video your friends Larry and Sandy
Pleasantly surprised to see a video this week. Didn't expect one. Thanks for sharing a little of your home life.
I'll like and watch whatever you put up
It doesn’t matter what you are doing on the video I enjoy watching it every Wednesday! I look forward to it every week!!! Keep doing what you’re doing!!!!!
When I was younger, I delivered ductwork in an old Ford F600 stake body. It was gas drive and 5 speed. I used to drive that thing just like you drive that old dump truck. Was a fun old truck to drive.
Enjoyed the slice of life video. You’re a hard working guy no matter what you do.
Hey Mr Chad, Really enjoyed your chore video. Sometimes you just have to take care of the olo House and home! I also can't handle the heat like I used to could. I'm now 58 and retired from the old Ardot! worked outside many years and now i am so glad to be done with that!! If you put out any new video's I will watch!
“Beat it until it was irreparable “😂😂😂😂
When you have had enough you have had enough
Been there
It may sound weird but this guy brings a sense of calmness to me. I watched this channel when my partner was in the hospital. I'd always turn on these videos to help ease my busy mind. I don't know if this comment will mean a whole lot. But this channel is a life saver for me and I'd greatly recommend it for anyone
Strong work Chad. Thanks for sharing your chores this week. My girl knows I like to come home from work and watch my “Wednesday guy”. She doesn’t fight it, and I’m sure glad you shared, even if it wasn’t working on old junk for a change.
I will watch any and every video you put out and definitely like it.
To have a happy life it's best to go with the flow ! I liked this video! GOD BLESS and have a Great week Chad !!!
Just keep videoing what you want to and we will watch it!!! There’s plenty of people that may not know about a salt water pool so like I said I will watch all your videos because a person still can learn something 😎Jerry from Grant Alabama
Chad, I like watching anything you do, weather its in the Shed or around the yard. Keep going.. Rich.
House and home episode. I enjoyed watching this episode! Good luck getting a sponsor for your shop AC.
Got to admit Mr Chad, I would have thought you would've put this video on your other channel, keep up the great work my friend, and take a break, you've earned it. 🇬🇧
Thank you very much. Really enjoyed the video. Bull frogs were cute too.
Hope the plum tree survives🇬🇧👍
Great job Chad! I think if you were showing how to dry paint we'd toon in! Keep it up!❤
that frog in the skimmer hahaha says it all about the state of the pools condition!! lol
As always, I enjoyed what you did and I learned a few things so thanks😊
Vent up top to move warm air out ? & low speed fan to move down below? Good stuff I like these videos!
Awesome channel, it’s great to see someone else struggles to get things done and maintains a pretty good sense of humor. Not many channels show how hard old project can really be. Thanks Chad keep up the awesome content I look forward to the bell!
Well no matter what some say the real ones will stick around!! i enjoy all content that you make Chad and i am sure most will agree!
loved seeing an insight to your life away from the shop :)
Thanks for that 😁
You have a beautiful house there sir! Just a little slice of heaven. I really enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing with us. I hope you have another great week this week
Yup! Ow yah this video is kermit appoved 👍
Great videos. Don't worry about the complainers. It's called house chores, we all have to do them sometime. I enjoyed watching you do yours. Good job 👍👍
It's too bad the pool has a leak. That would be really good therapy for your knee!
I Enjoyed This week’s video Chad and the all around great content.
Thanks again,
👍👍
We love it just keep videoing😅🫡 love the frogs 🐸 😅
I love learning, keep up these "extry" videos!
I liked the change every once in a while
You are doing a good job . Keep it up.
great video i enjoyed it better content than most that people show your work ethic and personality are all you need to keep everyone watching
Chad I did swimming pool 'maintenance' 2 summers, i opened maintained, repaired and closed all kinds of pools for 2 seasons when I was in my early 20s, learned the trade. I had a pool at my nana's house growing up, anyway.. I know it's annoying but if you want try A&B epoxy on any of the plastic - like the hole in your skimmer. I have found, although nothing will ever really fix it unless you actually melt the plastic with new plastic to actually adhere, but if you scuff up the area around it, mix up a little A&B and let it dry, man.. I'm telling you I've had some LONG lasting fixes with that stuff on my mother in-law's pool. Pretty good stuff.
Totally enjoyed this video.
Thank you for the presentation . It was a nice change from the usual and a step away from the garage .Seeing you work around your home reminds me of all the jobs that have to be done in order to keep things stable and ticking along . Your content is always interesting and a joy to watch , Till next time , Take care , stay cool , and God Bless you and yours , Stuart in Canada ..
Ceiling fan is a good idea in Winter it will push the warm air down
I cut many extension cords over the years with my hedge trimmer lol
I believe I agree with everyone else. Whatever you’re working on, a project, upgrading a project, or even things you need to fix around the house. I will definitely take the time and sit down to watch. I have never owned a pool so learning about how to maintain one is interesting. I never knew you could use salt to make chlorine and I find that fascinating. Thank you Chad and God bless!
Like what you do. I think if you had ducts on that unit separating the return from the supply you'd get better results. A mini split is more efficient though. Can't wait to see you get a sponsor. I'm looking to build a 36x36 shop. I see that size works well for you. I'm going to try and make the shop solar powered . It will have to run lift, air compressor and mini split. I'm in Texas and I can hardly get anything done. I bought a 92 Silverado stepside and replacing the rusty tank , sending unit and pump and this heat is killing me. I'd also like to see more of your first dragon this winter. I really enjoy your channel . Enjoy the pool work. I'd likd to see more of that. Thanks.
AC is a must ! keep up the great videos 👍
A couple of ceiling fans will balance the air temperature. Exhaust fan would get the hot air out.
Hedges always looks better after they start growing back with the new growth!
I love the videos. and I like to learn that is something my Father had never thought me, thank you for your videos,
Great video, Chad. I enjoyed the change of pace. Glad you were able to get some rest and relaxation.
Variety is the spice of Life! I love what ever you decide to put up! you gotta hurry up and get the pool ready for the Bambies to go swimmin.
This was a joy to watch! Thanks for sharing! Keep it up! 👌👍
I believe you need to either install ducting or elevate that AC unit so that the hot air near the roof is cooled and blown down into the lower areas.
That's what the fan was doing but the unit ain't big enough.
Love it, saving frogs saving fruit and your sanity 👏👏😎
here in aus. we got toads. introduced to ''eat the cane bugs''. never happened. now, there over 1/3 at least of aus.. there poison, nothing eats them. some ''scientists'', did a survey, to find out how many, & where they have spread to. IT WAS A CATCH, COUNT & RELEASE. how dumb are scientists..
Well, everyone needs a break, my friend. Got to know when to say when is enough.
I believe it’s a lot easier to take a clipping off the tree and plant it than trying to get seeds to grow
Nice job to you sir Nice yard good show 😃👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
If it ain't one thing it's another all you can do is try to stay ahead of it enjoy the
All good ... Sometimes we can use a break too. Keep on doin' what yer doin'
Great video, always enjoy a day in the life! Thanks
You need to put a return pipe at about ten feet high, you currently pulling cold air from floor level and expect lots of reduction in air temp in won't work any good like that, you need to be pulling the hot air through the conditioning unit, fan shooting up was good idea but sadly I don't think the fan would be strong enough, plum tree may be best to take a cutting and take to garden centre, should be able to give you root solution to get cutting going, sometimes when growing from seed the child plant does not produce the same of spring as the parent tree, I know it's a problem with apples, unsure with plums, I was advised by garden centre that a cutting is always the better option, best wishes Darren
Great Video ❤
Loved the video; good to change it up.
Chad, I enjoy every video you put out.
👍🇺🇸Chad, you have more moves than EXLAX! If I was close to ya I’d happily help out on your HVAC. 23 yrs of it, myself. We’d get it right. Good stuff, sir!
I find it relaxing to watch someone else work on home stuff for a change but your shop A/C would have a better chance of cooling if you raise the return higher up the wall, perhaps boxing it in with plywood and make it pull out some of the heat up in the roof, I run my 4 ton unit with the return high in the wall and you can hang meat if you leave it running for too long 😅
Soo enjoyed this video content. Nice diversion! The pool and a/c work was my favorite
Keep em coming Chad. 😊
Nice pool! Enjoyed the process of getting it together.
I did the same thing using pvc for a homemade dome and I used short sections of rebar as stakes and the pvc slides over it and it worked great. I respect your hustle in the heat. I’m in North Carolina and it so hot it’s ridiculous.
God bless y'all I would take the linner out and get some concrete and some mash like chicken wire once you get the concrete all set get some floor tiles put down you will be able to still use all plumbing I think you will come out cheaper and a lot aggravated for the new liners not easy to install just saying 😎..
All your videos are a great watch. Hi from Joe, Cynthia, DJ and Rosemary from Newfoundland, Canada.
It's good to see that saltinator working.. My in-laws had one when I moved back up here 7 years ago, it was a worthless pile of crap. Wasn't the brand you have, but anyway I replaced it with another brand, again not what you have but it wasn't super expensive.. their pool is only like 22k gallons, it's a small 16x32 freeform kidney, 8ft deep end 3.5ft shallow, but it's not huge. Anyway since I put a different unit in and changed the filter grids (they have a DE filter) the past 4 years it's been so darn clear you can drop a mirror down onto the main drain and shave standing on the deck. It's CLEAR water. : )
We fought a hole in the ground for 20 years until I told my wife, enough already. We finally got a stucco lined hole that restored my sanity. Upgrade it to a stucco pool and pay it our over time. You won't regret it. Also, the least expensive AC is to insulate your shop.
Awesome video!
Excellent video Chad :) also so good information and very good fix up homestead all need be done too!
Can’t wait to see you tackle that older truck you show in the barn. Should be awesome.
If you spray the deck with a 50/50 mix of chlorine and water, it will clean the wood up like new.
Thanks for sharing Chad, take care of yourself and don’t overdo it brother! I’ll be waiting for your next video my friend! I enjoyed the content of this video brother! Kirk here in Louisiana sending prayers and positive vibes to you and your family! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻💯💯💯💯
Enjoyed the ride in the truck, been a while. As always enjoyed the video ! Thanks !!!
A fine video sir it also looks like you have a Portuguese man of war eating the plum tree.
Make sure to use a flow switch on the salt generator so it stops working when the pump is off. Also, I think you can hold the button down 20 seconds to reset the generator computer, which would reset the salt reading. Get a fresh test kit. Make sure ph, alkalinity, hardness, and the rest are right.
It's fun to come hang out, no matter what you're doing! Being out of the shop was a nice break. It's been hot and miserable here in northeast Pa. too. We've been struggling to clear up our pool and covering blueberry bushes. I'll be watching to see how you work out the AC in the shop. Thanks for letting us hang out with you!
I hated trimming the hedge when I was a kid went all the way around Grandpa's yard on a corner lot!
The plus side was it was across the street from the grade school, and I could depend on finding at least 3-5 dollars blown into it from kids at the school losing lunch money! Once found a twenty dollar bill!
Hay old buddy I'm really impressed with the way you line bore motor blocks. I wish I could find that I would love to try that I have so motors I need to rebuild and I know thy will have to be bord.
Good video Chad it feels good to get caught up on work around the house and the shop I am glad you took a little easy this week thanks for sharing
I like how you switch things up.👍
I really liked this video. Love the fact you try to relocate the creatures you find. Fan from Seattle 🕊️
Glad you got some things done enjoy the rest of your week
I'm 60 and every year I hate summer a little bit more...I don't understand retiring and moving south to the heat of Florida...I'm thinking north. Also, I washed houses for a year or so and we used chlorine...no ladders, no high pressure, just let the chlorine do the work. For reference, a house your size would only take about an hour roughly.
Chad like most of the other subscribers I will watch anything you do. It’s pretty cool. I got a yard a wife and lots of other projects of the stuff in my garage amazed at the heat working hope that AC tough gets figured out, I really enjoyed the power tour videos. Great love you channel man.
You can take your return order and put it at the top of the building and the cold air at the bottom of the building and it will do better
Not happy with our mini splits in our shop which is probably double the size of your shop. They are so focused on making them quiet that they don't move a lot of air.
We had them removed and a residential type central HVAC sytem installed and it's works way better and actually was easier on the electric bill.
Enjoy your videos, keep them coming
Hello Chad. You know it’s a great video when you get to see a IH truck in action. I’m still playing around with my old Cub Cadets which was originally an IH brand. Hopefully you will get your AC situated within your garage and the bullfrogs will be happy with their new home.
The blower dismantling is my favorite part. I had one that had the same “repair”. Keep up the videos.
Chad I loved the way you tackle things I loved the video I do believe I learned from you working on the salt cell I had the same issues and guess what they are fixed now from watching you I love anything that you put out and wish you nothing but the best in life and health
