Andrew Ayad Actually, no one modelled it on any airplane. What I would love to see is data link communication in the pmdg. Normally, it should be available with their future pmdg global flight operations.

Thank you for making this awesome Preflight check series.. I honestly learned so much and watched all 4 vids.. I really appreciate it, thank you so much :)
I flew 757 a some years ago and now I've been flying 737 for the past 5 years. Now I'm going to the 777 and I'm surprised how similar it is to the 757 and how easy the transition will be. The 777 is a modern 767/757 and I assume the 787 is a little bit like that too.
I did not go the airline route. I went to aircraft manufactures. Started at Boeing, also worked a few years at Cessna. I worked in the factories building planes then moved to service center at Cessna and Mod Center when at Boeing. Factory work is not as exciting as airline work but it did prepare me well for this kind of job because I know the plane much better than most airline mechanics do because I have actually built them.
Thanks!! Very instructive and concise for understanding the overhead panel and useful for the x-plane simulator version. Can't wait for new videos !! Maybe the FMC preflight ? Engine startup ? Or a tour of the cabin ? (the fuel filters one is great but not relevant for simming :-D)
Tybe this on youtube ( Supplication before travelling as per prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him ) You can hear it and read it we do itevery time we travel even if we were on a car
Mid East Jet Saudi Arabia Limited[1], doing business as Mid East Jet, is a charter airline based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It is a privately owned premium class airline operating domestic and international scheduled and charter services. Its main base is King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, with several other sister companies. As of 2013 it was one of seven Saudi-based airline companies
In this video that is exactly what it is. Blowing air. It is for equipment cooling. There are several powerfuls fans locating in the electronics bay under the floor of the plane that are ducted to the electronics of the cockpit. These fans suck air through the electronic panels and equipment to keep them cool. The hot air from the equipment is then either used to heat the forward cargo or dumped outside the fuselage depending on temperature in the cargo. When we are on the ground most of the the equipment cooling exhaust hot air is blown out the forward outflow valve which will normally be in the full open position while on the ground.
Hi, that is really a personal preference. Most pilots I know and work with do it because they love it. I like to fly and have my private rating but I do not have the same love for sitting in the pilot seat as they do. For me it has been much more satisfying to work on planes. The pilots I work with are mainly retired airline guys and they always say they would not advise any young person to become a pilot. They say that it is not the same job that it was when they were working. I am a flight mechanic so I travel with this plane around the world keeping it maintained. Been doing this for 15 years and find it very satisfying professionally.
BigIronTV I'm now studying aircraft maintenance engineering and I'm confused between engineering and piloting but always they tell me engineering is better
Mostly when we are at altitude cruising at night and the captains want to eat or something. sometimes they turn it on to read things when cruising. Once we decent to land they did not use it because they needed to be able to look outside and the storm light reduced outside visibility.

Amazing how PMDG made the exact model of this bird
The only thing that I don't like about PMDG is that they don't model the circuit breakers which they say is not possible but I believe it is possible
Andrew Ayad Actually, no one modelled it on any airplane. What I would love to see is data link communication in the pmdg. Normally, it should be available with their future pmdg global flight operations.
@@andy4b767 That's overkill for a simulator.
Siddharth Kulkarni have you seen the FSLabs a320 family? Full inbuilt CPDLC and ACARS
And I don’t see the engine cont on the pmdg
*Being a pilot is no joke. So many things to learn.*

it looks very easy to me

Indeed.. It's a special one!!
Thanks for great vid. I love flying in the 777300ER , and it’s cool to see what all these switches do. Great cockpit tour !
Threw me off with the "Prayer" until the end of the video when I realized this is someone's private jet.. Wowzers
Yee!!!!!
It's nice to look back his older videos.
The owner was the Prince of Saudi Arabia. I think has whole videos explaining that?
@@mr.belnap857 I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention, just wanted to see someone flip some switches 😉
Oh ok didn't mean to be rude sorry. thank you for understanding
Thanks for explaining the overhead panel. Just started with the type rating so very usefull
Thanks for the video. I am considering flying the 777-currently I'm in a gulfstream G650.

Superb tutorial..to the point
Thank god! I didn't know where the Line select keys were on my 777.
(Btw flight sim)
I fly the 757-200 . Quite amazing how similar the cockpit is .

Great description thank you
What an awesome job!
Hard to imagine having a regular job again. This type of job is extremely rare. There are not many privately owned and operated 777 jets in the world.
BigIronTV Did u start out with a smaller regional company? I wanna work in line maintenance. Is that what you do?

Yes I do.
Hello dad
Btw he is a mechanic
Very interesting video, but can you please invest in a gimbal for your phone, so the video will be more stable? Thank you very much.
İt was very good explanation it was just reversed queui normally it starts from opposite side but thank you so much sir
This lovely video was taken at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia airport (OERK)!

Thanks for the tour! you said that on your aircraft you have a prayer? when and why??
+Joshua Hi Joshua, It is a private aircraft and the owner has a prerecorded prayer that is played prior to takeoff.
Actually it is on all the saudi airplanes it is travel prayer for Muslims in arabic then in English

do you have the smartcopilot.cfg? it seems to work very well
what is that sound like air blow we usually hear in cockpits ?

Nice overview...but why are the other 3 videos private?
Hi Gregg, they are now public
Thank you!
" Unique to us" means a Boeing option. Prayer means Agatha is flying.

Do you own the aeroplane
2 electric gen./ each engine?
Back up generators are engine driven?
lots of redundancy for safety

Wow, quite an old 777.......
Are they gonna teach me all this at aircraft maintenance class?
No. At school you will get the basics of aircraft to prepare you to learn this stuff. Most of the learning will come at your employer.
BigIronTV Oh ok. I`m 46yrs old I hope I learn this stuff. I hope someone hires me at my age.......
