"Doug, we're bringing Bob back..." No, wait, Jonathan Goodson said that to another young host earlier that year, but they were bringing someone else back. That being said, the cancellation of this show was premature. I like Bob, but so what if someone else is hosting it? I wonder how those same people reacted 8 years earlier when Card Sharks returned and there was no Jim Perry hosting it. Oh yeah, that's right, Bill Rafferty wasn't "good enough for them."
this was a afternoon version of PRICE IS RIGHT DOUG hosted in 1994-1995 BOB WAS STILL HOSTING THE DAYTIME PRICE IS RIGHT ON CBS THIS AFTERNOON SHOW WAS ON NBC WKEF-TV22 HERE IN DAYTON OHIO AT 530PM.
I remember one billboard on I-95 promoting both versions airing back to back on that area's CBS affiliate, Bob's version at 11, Doug's version at noon, with a pic of both Bob and Doug. I forget exactly what city it was in or near, though.
I think it was partially because of the super changed format of this version: no one bid rounds, no big wheel in the showcase showdown (at least at some point, apparently this episode had the wheel though), range game-like showcase round, etc
This one’s certainly different so I had to watch it. The real pretty girl who won looked familiar. I think I’ve seen her on something else. She and the host seemed like they knew each other. Idk, it was a cool version of the original.
The daytime TPIR goes on and on and on regardless of what happened to Doug's nighttime TPIR...

Doug could've took Ray Combs' place in "Family Feud".
