My most favorite thing in the world is watching a full episode of anything 1980's with the actual commercials from the day it aired. It's like a time machine that males me reminisce and feel warm and fuzzy inside. Instant subscription.
I'm right there with you!! Even down to appreciating the air date. The 80’s was truly one of the best times in human history. We were blessed to be part of it. 💕

I am the proud owner of this Lincoln town car, I have had it for about two years now and bought it from the daughter of this man who won it here...on the ”Price is Right”
He was 75 here. I hope they got to enjoy at least one of those trips.

Joseph is among the humblest contestants I've ever seen on this show. Pretty amazing in and of itself.
And you know when it comes to ole free knowing anything about a serviceman's rank with their pins he wouldn't know zilch. He is a hard host to like. IDK why 5hwu pay ho. The big bucks to do such an mediocre job. Oh free u need togo to training school on dealing with contestants.
That Monte Carlo is nice but wow that Town Car is a beauty.
Bob Barker is a legend. These night time episodes were awesome.
This brings back memories,I was 11 years old and living in Columbia,SC at this time,so it's nice to see that this was the WLTX feed out of Columbia. 46 years old in Tennessee now lol

What a show!! Two $10,000 winners in one show, also three beautiful cars winning on the same night!!! This is the kind of game show than I'm wanted (and loved)!!!

I don't recall a showcase where one is worth more than three times the other.
IMHO, this was the best of the six specials.

Originally, he wore traditional suits as seen in this night 🌙 time ⏲️ spent episode, but it was Bob who encouraged him to wear his more colorful signature suits, aka flamboyant sequin suits.
Besides Bob, Rod and an audience....the show feels exactly the same !

Memories as a kid ..... I remember when my family would vacation to San Diego, Ca. every summer in the mid to late 80's and I would just adore this game show and then look forward to watching in San Diego, Ca.!!! My sister and I would watch and the day years later the inevitable that Bob Barker was at the end of the trek ..... I was saddened.

For those who (intend to) make outrageous comments about a sailboat, please desist, because TPIR has ALWAYS offered sailboats as prizes.
Pretty cool that they let Keith win the car after they accidentally revealed the wrong number. That's the right thing to do in my opinion, and I don't think you'd see that type of thing these days. They'd probably just fire the employee and then tell Keith that they'd send him a Whitman sampler or something...
But if that middle number were a 1, he would've lost (he guessed 6, and he could lose no more than $4), even with the mistake that only gave away the next-to-last number.
Something similar happened on a Classic Concentration show. The lady couldn't see the board due to an computer error.
They would have given him the car today to avoid a lawsuit or bad PR.
Man, a $13,000 Trans Am. Now normal new cars don't sell for less than $15,000...

a star camera filter affixed to one of the cameras. the number of fine filaments cris-crossed (like a tennis racket only far more and far thinner often give the look of a star flare without showing the filaments. unless they screw up with focus or is a poorly designed filter.
Awesome commercial at 49:00. Pity nobody has that Press Your Luck episode.

I love the fact that if you don't watch the video and just listen to the audio, it sounds exactly like it does today.
I'm pretty sure I saw this on WJXT, when I was vacationing in Jacksonville, FL at my grandparents' house.
I've never understood why on Punch A Bunch the contestant only gets to have one of the dollar amounts in the holes, but on Plinko they get the sum of ALL the dollar amounts.

The LS model was nice. But I remembered pining for the Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe, like the one Dale Earnhardt drove in NASCAR. 👍

Dale won 13 races in his 87 MC Wrangler that year. Pass in the grass! I'm crazy in love with G body GMs.

I don't know why they stopped making high quality cars like that Town Car. The watered down fiber glass versions don't measure up to the Standard of excellence of that awesome vehicle.❤
