    I'm new to the cattle business, but I wanted to thank you for the video. I have learned more viewing your video than I have from actual cow hands. It gave me peace of mind watching how detailed orientated you are to cleanliness, and care for the calves you have it is more inline with my personal beliefs than what I am being taught here. I also appreciated your mixture feed with the milk preventing issues down the line when they convert to dry. Thank You again Sincerely Alan out of Mississippi,

    To some of you out there. Not all of these calves in fact the majority of them that are taken are removed from what is known as last leg cows. That means they are too old to take care of them. Would you prefer if they just died of starvation? Yes some are taken to the feeder farms, but many are used for reproduction and milking. You like milk don't you?

    would I love to give this guy several dozen Japanese Wagyu calves. The operation he has up and running is spectacular. You give him 24 head of Wagyu beef and tell him how to raise them and feed them, each one would be auctioned off. To the highest bidder, which would the most swank restaurants in Australia, New Zealand and whole lot of other restaurants who want to make a name for themselves. Japanese Wagyu beef are the ones selected to be Kobe beef, which is the most melt in your mouth taste of pure beef that no one can on this planet compare it too. The Wagyu line of beef stock has no equal. I have eaten it raw thin slices and no sauces. IT is that good. This person Kiwi Bharat should open contact with several people in Australia who free rang Wagyu beef. With his style of low stress and contact with the animal it is a solution to tasty beef.

    you people have no idea about farming. These calves are with their mothers for 2 days as they need her first milk. If we want milk this is the way it is. Hiefers are kept for futher breeding, bull calves for meat...These calves have much better then most in the usa.

      I know lots about farming and live out in dairy country, I have seen and visited many kinds of farms and many dairy farms. Because this is the way it's done, I don't want milk or any product that supports this industry. Dairy farming is a cruel cycle of bringing animals into existence only to exploit and use their bodies... As you say male calves are killed, they live a short life in confinement and are then killed for meat. Females are kept for so long as they are profitable for milk production, usually no more than 10 years, if their milk production drops too far they are set to be killed as thanks for years their years of enslavement and having their babies taken from them. Just because the exploitation and enslavement of the animals in this video is of a higher standard than other places in the world doesn't make it acceptable or moral. I don't wish anything bad on the dairy farmers, I know they have usually been brought up to accept this, just like people in the past have been brought up to accept all kinds of things we now collectively consider immoral. I just hope more and more of them really start to look at what they are doing from the victims point of view (the animal) and work towards getting out of this industry and switch to plant based farming or some other more ethical source of income.

    I am sorry but we are ignoring the fact that these calfs are bred for our milk craving (when we could also drink plant based milk) which we take from a mother cow who has to lose her baby for it as a cruel price. Calfs are than raised for a couple of months WITHOUT a mother and than killed for our meat hunger.....

  • @joens345
    @joens345 7 лет назад +15

    Awesome video and these calves are not taken away from their mothers by him, he just rescues them and gives them a good life and they are well taken care of. I also rescue calves who have lost their mothers due to a death at calving, etc., and all you vegans, etc., who are slamming the industry, shame on you I bet the clothes on your backs were manufactured by some "slave kids" in the far east who work for pennies a day, and what about the shoes on your feet, what are they made from. Everything in your lives has something to do with a manufactured product, so think about that next time you brush your "holier than thou" teeth.

    There’s only one feed for calves to avoid all bugs and diseases and that’s yogurt milk, if eliminates all the hassle of disinfecting and cross contamination and all that, only problem you need fresh milk from the cow to make it.

      "Pet" ownership is an institution that is not supported by ethical vegans. Neither is domestication. We seek to abolish all animal exploitation, by boycotting all of these industries. No need to even expose them, the animals end up dead. That's all we need to know.

      Maybe not, but there is a way to slaughter an animal quickly and humanely, rather than making those poor bastards go to the veal pen, or to CAFO's. If it's going to die, it might as well have a happy life up until the day it dies. It's the least we can do. :(

      The biggest tragedy of farmed animals in not only how they are killed, but the horrible conditions in which they live their short lives, treated like objects on a production line.
      If you were talking about animals that die accidentally during the harvesting of crops, you should know that most crops are in fact grown for animal feed.
      Eating the plants directly causes much less harm overall, as the conversion from plant calories and protein to animal calories and protein is extremely inefficient.
      In fact, animal agriculture has such a serious environmental impact, that experts predict a meat tax is inevitable in the next few years, to curb consumption.

But I know that every cow and calf will be killed/slaughtered, I know that people hurt the cow cutting off the horns, I know that they separate the calfs from the cows, mostly cows got sad because of that and the calfs cry for days calling for their mother, I know that cows are usually mutilated and then, after some years, slaughtered what is not good. This is somethings I know about dairy. I think that undercover investigations are more accurate than Reports edited or made by who made money from dairy.
