Well in the previous Street Fighter 3 games, Gill didn't glow because Gill at the time was only the "President" of the Illuminati, so the reason why he is glowing in THIS game is because he is now the "Emperor" of the Illuminati. Here m, he is known as "Omega Gill".

Crazy thing is... on the Street Fighter timeline, this game still takes place after Street Fighter IV and V!! Gill is supposed to the last ultimate badass left to face in the SF Universe!

This game comes right after street fighter 5, with urien's ending being the real one after defeating his brother Gill.
This game taught me a valuable lesson as a martial artist. And that lesson is: If I ever run into the "Ultimate" fighter, he's gonna be super strong...and super naked..

Um, I remember playing it and my cousin said the SAME thing on the HARDEST SETTING. Gill NEVER transformed. Then FINALLY going back to see it, I finally saw him resurrect. It was amazing. How he did not transform the first times I player, I don't know.
So, please stop with the bickering. Whether it was on easy or not, I think he did a great job.

2016Teen gill is not even unique in his own damn family. He's known more to be urien's brother than anything. His moveset is like urien's just ice included. Boring.
The Collector But Gill has things that Urien doesn't have: RESURRECTING FROM THE DEAD and that OVERPOWERED WING ATTACK!!

He reminds me of this one scene in the Simpsons where Kent Brockman is commentating on a sports game because an audience member decided to turn up in the middle of winter wearing just a speedo and painting himself red and blue and was shivering from the cold.
I love Gills jabs and kicks. They come out of nowhere and do high damage

I don't recall in KoF there being any wings from Orochi super move. I know what you're talking about though. It was just a blueish/white light if I'm not mistaken. Good comment though.

Damn the cps3 was a really powerful 2d machine, it's sad that this arcade board wasn't succesful (but have sense, was really difficult for programing, and the hardware really hard to repair, basically you need a capcom engineer in order to fix it)
Makes sense. Whatever board was behind the early SNK games (King of Fighters, Art of Fighting, etc.) those were extremely difficult even if they were set to "Easy".
If Gill really though he was better than Akuma, he thought wrong.

Just go up to Gill and keep doing the three hit dragon punch. It will work if you time it properly.
Never thought about that. He's just so damn quick and versatile that timing is everything but not the easiest thing to get close to him.
First I use the single hit dragon punch to counter his jump attack to initially knock him down and then I get right up to him and do it with the three hit over and over. When he resurrects use the spinning kick to stop him from regaining life. This can be done with Akuma or Ken.
Really, you have to have a HUGE ego to applaud yourself.
Nothing to do with ego. I've been on youtube for many years and every video takes passion, time and editing precision when applicable. To reach 200 was a milestone. It was something special to me. That's just how I am.

You said it perfectly. I stopped playing after IV because the mechanics got too complex and it just stopped being "authentic" to me. I'm sure the games are still worthy of playing as I have seen videos on them but doesn't really fit what I had always felt the franchise model was.

It looked great and everything and I remember it being the first SF to have come out after so many years of no SF's being released. But there was a stun move in which you had to hold down two buttons simultaneously and time it just perfectly because it took a couple of seconds to charge before it could strike your opponent and that was what really did it for me and turned a die hard SF fan into an "ok time to see if KoF has any new releases" fan. LOL. To your point it was as if they were trying too hard to appeal to the masses (or the whatever fans) and introduce an entirely new fight system instead of just building onto what was already working. And yes Gill is still the best!!!

Ayardgate Akuma is always that character who does the unthinkable, appearing in unforeseen places and somewhat of a myth to those who have never seen him before. That's what makes him unique. Although I do concur that this ending was a bit of a stretch it still pegs him as such. Thanks of for the comment.

Akuma can use the Kongo Kokuretsuzan to KO Gill right out of Resurrection if he lands the initial bolt.

This is a non-legal final boss. He is strong as a secret boss, but it's a normal final boss. Hard as fucking fuck. I beat him in 10 stars difficulty but spamming urien's crash attack. I'm too weak to beat him as you've done. GG boi

True. Street Fighter III came out in the mid 90's when hip hop was becoming more and more mainstream. Sadly video games tried to get in on that by adding their own spin to it but most of them failed miserably in the process.

Air fireball was the best way I knew to mount an opening attack every time. Gil is very quick so I had to do it by any means. I hated that the timer ran down. Not the way I ever wanna win a match but it was what it was.

eh, it was alright, your fighting being kinda mediocre kept the fight pretty interesting
im not entirely sure if you ever plan on playing third strike again but keep in mind akuma's taunt builds damage, (if you care) you'd get more points for beating him with a special of some sort. since it seemed like you were playing on easy you'd have been able to land the kongou kokuretsu zan since the easy mode AI is pretty dumb in important situations. not that you need to take the advice or practice more, just a little tip if you ever plan on playing this on a harder difficulty

No idea. I lost track after this one in terms of the stories.
There is something about Gill's stage that gives me chills. It really feels like a final confrontation between a mortal and a deity.
I get that's the points but all of the symbolism in this one stage is intense. I hope that a stage like this returns in SF6.
That feeling is 1000x intensified on the alternative stage with the raging Red Sea or whatever its supposed to be.. It really gives you the feeling it's judgement day right there.. and even Akuma and Bison feel like a helpless mortal in that setting

nope 4 is before 5 and 5 is before sf3 new generation the we have sf3 second impact and then sf3 third strike which is the final game in the storyline capcom should have ended the story of ryu and ken by making a fourth part to the story of the 3 games but they wanted to go back just because they wanted to make more money by extending the story which was totally unnecessary because IV has a lot of stuff that isn't canon like Oni....... if only Capcom wasn't so greedy and finished the story Ryu was supposed to never appear in other SF game after they ended this story to make Alex into the new main character.

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!! I remember staying up till 4am trying to beat this guy back in the Dreamcast days. He was insanely hard.....he is definitely a theat if you take him head on. No one in the game can take him fighting regularly. You have to use a strategy like this to beat him or you may not win.
My strategy was punch kick hadouken when I had enough super use Akuma flying hurricane kick to dodge attacks and repeat. to my defense I was 8
Ultimate Fighter I never played this game, but in Street Fighter IV fighting against Seth(Luckily I play this on the Nintendo 3DS), I used the touch screen commands when my health is like 10%.

Just a heads up to anyone interested, according to Street Fighter Wiki, using Akuma’s Kongou Kokuretsu Zan attack (the ground punch super) will knock Gill straight out of his supers if the whole thing connects and instantly KO him right out of Resurrection if you hit him with it fast enough.

They should seriously make Gill a playable character in Street Fighter V (*spoiler yes I know he appears in the game but only near the end of the story mode and he's not playable*) I mean I think there are no other characters who use ice attacks in fact I believe he's the only one, There are characters that use fire, characters who use electricity, some even use ki with no elemental effects in at least one of their attacks, and heck one even uses poison. And yet there are no other characters who use ice as part of their moveset is Capcom seriously afraid that a character that uses only ice attacks will possibly get compared to Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat and/or get sued by the company (or creators of the series) for copyright infringement? I mean it really annoys and bothers me.
