Eric is also called 'slow hand'. He has a very distinctive laid back style of playing and is rated one of the greats. His influence has been enormous. Layla was from his time with Derek and the Dominoes and is a classic.

The original Layla does not have a saxophone during the second half. This was from a charity concert, so Clapton was joined by David Sanborn, one of the great sax players.
That concert had some amazing performances. I highly recommend
Old Love, with amazing guitar by Clapton and one of the best keyboard solos I’ve ever heard by Tim
Carmen (m.ruclips.net/video/MoWYwm_srCY/видео.html) and Little Wing with Sheryl Crow and Sanborn (m.ruclips.net/video/iEuVH_16vRg/видео.html).

I love Clapton however in my opinion, Stevie Ray Vaughan is the GOAT when it comes to blues guitar. Have a listen and a watch of stevie ray Vaughan live at el mocambo doing texas flood. Stevie ray is another that has to be experienced fully. Lol. New subscriber. Thanks for the reaction videos. I get a kick out of younger people discovering some of "my generation's" music.

What a classic! Not a big Clapton lead fan but this one's good. I'm hoping you'll do Astronomy from Blue Oyster Cult's Some Enchanted Evening live album! Gary from REO Speedwagon and Buck Dharma from BOC are my kind of guitarists, and judging from your reaction to Ridin' the Storm Out (from when REO was still true to their original rock origin) you'd really get off on a Buck Dharma (BOC) live solo with good sound! Note that BOC adds entire arranged distinct sections live for extended solos, so you don't get half the song in their studio albums! Astronomy: ruclips.net/video/t3YehBkrXNw/видео.html

The rhythm section is so tight with bass player Nathan East and drummer Steve Gadd who have been with Clapton since the early '90s.
