Brave woman , unfortunately I feel that these things still happen to women in the present military, not enough woman come forward , because of the stories of every other woman that has come forward while still actively serving talks about it making things worse, and not being allowed a reenlistment.

I agree. 😢It's so sad, especially since it's from our own country who are doing these things. I'd have to have some higher power spiritual belief to protect me from these evils. I really feel for those who go through this. I wish there was a way out!
I do have a question. Does anyone know if this woman was a Navy Sailor? I am still interested in joining the military but a bit skeptical now. Recently called a local US Navy recruiter and asked him a few questions, one of them asking about the safety concerns in the Navy military for women. He said "The bad things you hear about women in the military, don't happen to Navy Sailors, but yes, sometimes in the Army. Different branch."

I’m sorry you had to experience this kind of treatment…in the AF I worked with many women (on the flightline) who were phenomenal! Some better than the guys. It really is inappropriate to stereotype women in the military as being lazy or weak because it’s simply not true. Don’t get me wrong there are some women who really owned that stereotype and slacked off but guys do that too…all I’m saying is everyone should be treated equal especially our service members…we all signed up to serve our country in some way or another so let’s give each other the respect we deserve 🇺🇸

So sad that women cannot even defend their country without feeling unsafe. As if serving isn’t nerve wracking enough.. you don’t even feel safe around your our. Sickening

@@TheLJ5263 they have policies for pretty much everything but is jus for politics… in reality there’s a lot going on and most of the time they keep it below the radar. Is a lot of people who gets screwed in different aspects for those practices. Toxic Environment unfortunately…. Not everywhere or every one but you get the point.

As a former Marine it definitely exists but I had great female leaders enlisted and officers, I've also had poor ones. I had a twin sister so disrespect to women was never my thing because of my upbringing, I thought dating fellow Marines was gross...I'm 19 in Southern California we always wanted civilian college/party girls 😂 But the culture can be toxic to a point. Alot of WMs don't do themselves any favors by being "fast". Also a guy got sexually assaulted....by another dude...frfr

Hello, did you go through your boot camp and then decided to stop or continued? I'm in a debate where I'm not sure of what to do. If I complete my boot camp can I drop out after those 3 months if I change my mind? How has it been like for you? I plan on doing college while I do the service if I commit to doing the 4 year contract. Please I need more advice, I don't wanna regret my choice further down the line.

Id never let my daughter join because it can be mentally hard on females...alot of them have childhood trama on top of the military too. I knew one girl she had so much trama she constantly drank, and tried committing suicide 😢
