Thanks for this video, I’m saving up for one of these and was worried on a few details but you cleared those up for me (like the body sitting high in pictures but not in real life, and 1.9 wheels looking huge and 1.55 being more scale) big massive thanks! 👍🏻
Using lawn grub screws on the Marlin crawler TF2 to nothing new but I ended up using magnets also on the body lift bracket from RC four-wheel drive. This way when the truck rolls the body does not come off
I’m actually building a kit of that chassis, I’m building mine to be the heritage edition d90 with the roof! Grasmere green, I also got the rc4wd grasmere green wheels. Also including the spare tire on the rear door, The only thing I’m changing is the springs! They seem a little too tall for me! I want mine to sit a little lower, more to scale. I’m also painting the interior like the real defender. Detailing the whole thing! Yours looks very nice!👌😎👍great review!
I wanted to not want one but those new arches and bonnet bulge finish it off!! Plus the stationary camera shot at the end makes it look better than the pics RC4WD have showed us!
Hey man, you are somewhat the you tube Rc4wd guru. I have been into rc my whole life for all practical purposes. I have 5 now. Trx4, element sendero, vaterra ascender, scx102, and a redcat 8. I have always wanted a rc4wd, but $$$ stopped me. Well the price difference isnt that far of a spread anymore, so i ordered one of these this mornin. I have loctite in hand, wish me luck....
Rivet counter boy spotted that there's no high-level break light. The UK plate stickers you get make it a 2004, fyi. That "Slow but British" sticker is legit, I seen that IRL. Gonna have to save up my pennies, looks lush.
Oh, and those rectangular Lighty thingies at the back are supposed to be red reflectors (English road legal) Dunno why they gave you light enclosures on a non export...who knows??
I picked up 150th bfgoodrich cruiser and I’m working on customizing it... no body pins on the cruiser it still uses screws...they should have made the bumpers on those so they can fit a winch??
I’m pretty sure I did it wrong but they are working great. Just unscrewed the top and added some fluid. Compressed up and down until it quit overflowing and put the cap back on
Great video. I have one of these trucks on its way in the mail. I do have a question for you about your truck though. My question to you is, did you have to go over every screw and add loctight to them?
I don’t go over the entire truck. I usually just do the 3 screws on the spur gear and the 4 on the front axle knuckles. Those are the only spots I’ve had come loose on me.
Don’t use the awkward body clips to remove the body….leave them in place and forget they’re even there. Drill out the holes on the sides of the body, red thread lock the mounting screws into the aluminum mounts, and then you can simply snap the body on and off in mere seconds by lightly separating the body sides. Piece of cake…..especially on the trail.
I don’t want to tell you how to spend you money. I think it’s a solid rig with good performance and an awesome scale body. Check all my boxes. Just depends on what your looking for out of a rig.
The clips are horrible. I have the defender and the fj40. I relocated the battery to the front under the hood for the defender. The fj40 still untouched and I will deal with the clips. Sometimes they go in easy and sometimes it doesn’t. Patience is the key.
I reached out to rc4wd two years ago after I lost my house in hurricane Irma I lost my trail finder two with a blazer body they were awesome and sent me a this truck with the fj cruiser it's the same as this truck well the frame is I have been running it evey week I put better tires on it and it's only broken the axle that's it I love rc4wd and there the only trail truck I will buy !
Nice they give u free stuff and i cant get my order they claim to have in stock in lets see 13 days now because its not even in the country n then will be 3-8 days more n they wont do a thing no partial refund no would u like to cancel no hey will throw u a garbage tshirt....but u get a whole rig cuz u got urs lost to a flood
@@ricklewis950 best way to get rc4wd products is to buy them for other hobby shops, always in stock shipping is much cheaper! Amain, tower, horizon, rpp!
Shame about the PWM noise on a truck that costs that much, you would have thought it wouldn't have that annoying high pitched noise that you find in cheap rc cars. Granted it's easy to swap the esc but for a rtr as it is, bit of a disappointment
We just got the Green D-90 Heritage 2015 Pickup last week, it’s beautiful 😍 BUT, a Lot of loose and Missing screws & Nuts... PLUS, if it falls off your sofa on to a thick padded rug the windshield will Pop Off, Along with the Back window portion, the doors open leaving just Four (4) thin posts that Break Very EASY... Leaving a Big Broken MESS 👎😫 Buyer’s BEWare:
K9 . . . It was Hard plastic, not even flexible, had to do a lot of glueing... rc4wd did NOT seem to care at all, but after a Big Tadoo, in a few weeks they sent me the lug nuts I needed...!!
K9 yes, the first video I saw on it had said it was “ALL” metal, so I got it... not true, just the chassis was metal. I still love it though and have it looking very nice, but I wouldn’t take it out on the Rocks or any place it could Fall down from and break...

That looks cool. Thanks. Can't wait to see the details you add to it.
enhance the look with mud flaps i made my own on my mn-96 and you will see the difference btw That's is a beautiful rig you have there.
Went and got myself the heritage edition! Should look good next to my fj40 and my Range Rover classic!

Lol. I still don’t loctite as much as I should. Hope you enjoy it!
Nice car, cool video! Best regards!
Great video. I'm hoping to get one too in the near future. I just picked up the 150th. BF Goodrich tf2.
Thanks for the video
3s is the way to run this truck !
Smart D90, much enjoyed, thank you!
Very nice. Love the looks of Land Rovers.

Here's thought, spray the body with a matte finish. Some Ol man emuw shocks would look great.
Great video….what Sequence did you used to fill the shocks up ? The Pistons have no holes so I’m stumped on how to put oil in the shocks please help

You need a set of ball end hex drivers will make your life easier you can angle the hex to put the screws in !
I have one. Definitely need some more

It’s a nice looking truck. Some day I’ll be up for form over function. For now I’m just too childish for these. 👍🐒🇺🇸
What do you mean childish ?
AFTR DRK I mean I still drive my trucks like a three year old lol
Would a 1:6 scale model fit inside? Very sweet ride! DC from Texas
A 1/6 driver would way too big I’m afraid.
I’m having issues with mine the screw on the servo horn is scraping the servo’s bottom plate and the chassis. Anyone else having the same issue?
install the engine with boss fuel so that it is steady

Looks awesome with the new updates. As usual we get shafted here in the UK. Retail price here is £579 which is $726 !!
Crap😮 that sucks
Awesome 🔥
Where is the D90 now?
Its next up after I finish the 87 xtra cab, have lots of parts for it.
❤️👍👍👍
What is the scale of this model
1/10 scale
Nice rig, you should weather it with some rust. 🇳🇱😉👍🏽🚗💨💨
Land Rover Defender's are aluminium.
Nice! 👍😃👍
Do you or anyone know where i can get a modern tacoma body kit?

Really don't like the colour of this truck, plenty of other "proper" Land Rover colours they could do it in.
Great video though.
