I saw a magic show back in the 90s when a friend and I were visiting from Seattle. I was in my mid 20s at that time and now I'm 56 and glad I got to see it one more time last year. Farewell to the Trop! 😲Go Mariners!
I stayed at the Tropicana a few years ago and swore Bugsey Seigel was staying next door. The decor was
say the least. The room was clean water hot and our banquet food was delicious. I have never seen furnishings, so OLD😂😂😂😂😂
Will miss the Vegas aura the Flamingo brought to the strip😢
I stayed at Tropicana back in its "Island of Las Vegas" days with the huge Easter Island statues. Also saw Rich Little show a few years back and chatted with him after the show... super nice guy! Thank you for doing such a cool send off to the Tropicana... love watching you guys!
I always remember show girls in the front as you walked in to check in. Very extravagant outfits that you could take "FREE" photos with. Sad to see it go.
A few years ago, my husband and I went to see Purple Reign, the Prince tribute show and sitting at the table next to us was Mayte Garcia, Prince’s ex-wife however, I didn't realize it was her until then show was almost over😊
The Tropicana was the last casino I had to carry a bucket in. All the others had moved to tickets.
As your resident Prince fan..i can say:
One of the better Prince impressionists was at the Trop for many years...Purple Reign.
Im glad he landed a new spot at the Planet Hollywood Theater. Very excellent show...well worth the price.

I saw Dancing With The Stars Live at The Tropicana. Carson Kresley and Joey Fatone hosted. Kyle Massey crouched down and snuck past me and other audience members in the same row in preparation for his dance routine where he popped up in the audience and ran up to the stage to join his dance partner.

We are subscribers from your start. I remember when you guys had under 100 subscribers. Viva Las Vegas was also filmed at the Flamingo Pool. I have a picture of me sitting on the diving board that Elvis stood on with Ann Margaret. It was my first trip to Vegas 1975.

My friends and I would go sit and watch the strip from one of the hall ways
I moved to Las Vegas in 1997. I remember when my friends would come to visit me they would be given free room and food at the Tropicana. They would be playing the doller slots in the high limit room. We went to one of the funnest Halloween costume parties there. They had great prizes back then. I will never forget the crazy outfits worn by everyone. My friends would tell me which slots they had invested in the most. They would say they warmed up the slots for me and I would always hit a jackpot on them. These ladies would fly in from Texas. They were my college friends mother and her friends so they were all about twenty to thirty years my senior but they knew how to have a great time. I'm going to miss the Trop and all the years of fun I would have with the Texas gals.
Hi TANYA. We’re coming to Vegas the end of June. We’re seniors but don’t feel or act like older people. I’ve been to Vegas many times but it’s been about 8 years. Last time we stayed at Palazzo. Any suggestions where to stay. I love center strip but it’s nice down by the MGM and LUXOR towers. Can you help this girl out. We stayed at Luxor & Carrot Top was hanging out in the hot tub in the Spa. lol. Thank you. 🩷🩷

Its going to be hard to go to Vegas without jumping into a uber and saying "take me to the Trop". Been saying that for 40 years now.
Feel sad seeing the Tropicana go. We stayed there many times in the 90's and enjoyed it. For the last 20 years we stay at the Flamingo and love it. Sure hope they stay for a while yet. 😢 personally..I 'm not surprised Margaritaville is going away..the owners haven't upgraded it for years so obviously it was space value for them. Everything changes...none more than Vegas.
Randomly in 2012, I decided to do a solo trip for the very first time and my first time in Vegas. I stayed here and I had the best time and so many wonderful memories. The rooms were comfy and presentable, great location, decent price for a single room and cheap frozen drinks that I had way to many off haha.

I remember visiting in the 90s as a kid because they always had the giant slot machine with a free pull where you could win stuff. My mom always spun it when we walked by. I also remember there being some sort of exotic bird walkway that was very cool as a young girl.

Got married at the Tropicana about a year and a half ago. Stayed there one night (the rest elsewhere). Very much respect its history to Vegas and the strip. Sad to see it go!
The wedding was amazing. They did an incredible job. Sadly the hotel itself was just getting very dated and run down. Again, nothing but respect for it but as things go in Vegas, it’s time had finally come
In 1969 I won a trip on the Dating Game to see the Follies B. And again, in 1970. In 1972 we spent the first 3 days of our honeymoon there. Through the years I got my first royal flush; played Pick Em poker and got another royal. Lots of very fond memories. It will be missed!
Sad especially to destroy so many memories simply to build something useless as well as cause even more traffic nightmares. “WHY WOULD ANYONE WASTE THEIR TIME IN THE HOT SUN WATCHING THE MOST BORING GAME EVER INVENTED, IMO?”. Las Vegas has not learned anything from formula 1!

I was living in San Diego in the 90's when i went to a timeshare event and wo a trip for 2 at the Tropicana. Was so exciting n so much fun, lounging at the pool, watching a comedy show, yum food/desserts!

Hi stayed There around 2019 I enjoyed my stay There Last year saw Rich Little at The Laugh Factory seem Murrey the magician and the comedy at the Laugh Factory and The prince show in the Main theater Been a Fixture to my Las Vagas Trips. last look around in March very sad to see it Go.
Bout 3 yrs from after it opens and the shinny new luster wears off i want to see how that crowd attendance will be at that new stadium for the A's...Somehow dont think baseball will make it as the boys of summer in Vegas in the long run especially if ownership doesnt start fielding something more than a AAA team....Sure , it will be a new thing at first and many are goonna wanna see it ...But a couple yrs down the road when its 115 degrees outside lets see how many folks make it to the game then.....Was in Vegas the last couple days the Sands Casino was still around....

Can someone recall the name of the Steakhouse inside Tropicana around 2000 we happen to be able to eat there on their last day of business. Would have been in March
I stayed there multiple times after they fixed the place up. It was a cool place. Dining options were always weak.

Tropicana was the very first hotel I stayed at in Las Vegas. It was myself and 8 college friends staying in a room a few months after graduation.

I will greatly very miss the Tropicana Las Vegas, my last interaction was 2020 when preparing for our wedding the bell desk took care of me and the wonderful conversation we had afterwards will always be in my heart. Tropicana Las Vegas helped create my husband and I Vegas Pros(20+ years strong)💝❤🩹
