- Reform MPs have struggled to find seats in the House of Commons as Parliament returned to work this afternoon for the first time since the general election.
The Commons was absolutely packed for the formal reopening and Reform MPs had to stand as proceedings got underway.
The main job of MPs this afternoon is to elect a new Speaker.

How stupid is it that there are not enough seats for members, something else that needs reform
should have been on time then nobody could take the seats
There are only 5 or 6 days a year when all available seats are taken. It doesn't make sense to have a ginormous hall in which half the seats are empty for all but a handful of days a year.
Standards are slipping. I noted no less than 4 female MPs with dress code violations- Trainers! Was it Casual Tuesday?!
