Even that raccoon. As adorable as trash pandas are, they are crazy smart/destructive/curious like the lady was saying. Without out Waffles to annoy all that energy would be put into ripping up furniture and getting into all the cupboards 🤣

For anyone watching this, wondering if it'd be cool to have a raccoon for a pet, I'll say this - unless properly trained and or raised from a young age, they can be incredibly destructive. They've got little "people" hands, so they can manipulate and get into a lot of things that a dog can't. Just a warning!

Yeah I was wondering about how domesticated they could be. Very cute and amazingly adept little hands.
There was a thing on netflix about a guy that had a raccoon for a pet, it basically destroyed his house. Foxes on the other hand appear to make incredible pets, there is a group working on taming/domesticating them in Russia.
When thrown together, animals are capable of developing the strangest relationships. Look how they
adapt to some humans.
Someplace in South America, the locals were keeping a wild wolf in captivity. Somebody had a poor old burro, too old to work. A harebrained idea ensued as they decided to give the live, elderly burro to the wolf; a living refrigerator to be snacked on in bits and pieces... No wolf could eat all that in one sitting. The next day, the burro and wild wolf had bonded. Days went by and the starving wolf refused to eat his friend. Two refugees united against man's inhumanity... The authorities heard the story and came to see the wolf and burro who cuddled while uniting together in fear of their abusers. Both wound up being rescued and were kept together as a pack/herd/ best friends.

Actually they are the lucky ones. Pet racoons are an absolute blast to have around. I had one as a child.

I put food scraps outside for raccoons and possums to eat also I don't like food in the trash getting stinky attracting bugs

Vizslas are such amazing dogs. They usually bond with one person who they will follow not matter what but they love absolutely everyone.

The Mom would have come back for her, I had the same thing happen and I just put the baby in a milk crate w a blanket for warmth over night by where i found it. In the Morning, it was gone and they now live in my old shed Ha. 👍
That is true. Though since she mentioned june was tiny. Its possible the mother felt she would be a drag to the other babies and abandoned her.
Yeah I was looking for this comment. She even said, "When we came back from eating dinner" meaning they waited an hour or two. You need to give animals like deer, baby birds, raccoons and the like at least half a day to a full day before you go around saying they were orphaned.

Domestic Racoons regularly get real fat 😂
@@yellowmelancholy4875 Not the wild ones, only the ones that are fed too much by humans. And they will eat because they don't know when to stop, like many dogs... she is not taking proper care of her, that raccon is really overweight and it's bad for her :(

Take away stress/competition for food and territory and it's amazing what cross-species friendships happen. I sometimes wonder if the dynamic can be one animal considers the other animal to be THEIR pet.

That tiny baby racoon was utterly adorable beyond words, I would not be able to resist that gorgeous little creature and would rescue, care for and home the baby even if it caused major disruption to my life.
That's so sweet, humans could learn a lot from them if we only gave it a chance.
